  1. This kinda looks more like a RAGE sequel. Of course, the design of RAGE just looked like an updated Fallout. Aw, whatever... :D
  2. Image uploading is very fluid. Good stuff. Thank you!
  3. The "Named Wasteland" combined version is a good start for your objective. Mod made by "Fascistinabag" I believe. Using the FOMM or FO3edit, you can take a look at this mod to easily see exactly what was changed, to whom, and in what locations.
  4. Smart money would be on any mod that introduces new music, or changes/adds environment sounds. Try those first.
  5. Hi, First things first. Double check installation instructions. Assuming that's alright: Have you tried running FOMM in Administrator mode? That's the only way it works for a number of folks. Vista users, etc. The same issues may apply when using/starting FO3Edit. Which many people will be recommending you also get. Have a nice day.
  6. If someone could first give us a nice "realistic" horse to ride, I will join you all in MLP karma support. That is to say, if those adorable lil' pink and rainbow hoofies will then only be seen as shaped plastic barrels filled with high explosives to be rolled towards enemies, or other equally deserving targets. Big super-cute exposion. yay!
  7. The Dating Game FONV Edition: Boone. Misunderstood, or just mishandled? During my first (aborted) playthrough, I strongly disliked this character; so much, in fact, that I planned to skip hiring him the next time around (finish game). With his simple, fairly unoriginal dialogue, he came off as cartoonish, two-dimensional and just generally lame. Especially in comparision to ALL of the other human companions. *SPOILER* However, upon reaching Bitter Springs with him, as he spills his guts about the Great Khan incident, and the full facts about the death of Carla, we see him actually manifest as a "real" person. Boone isn't pathetic anymore. He's truly tragic. I already hated the Legion to this point, but after Boone's reverie, I wished we could wipe them out all the way to Ohio. Ladies: as a lifelong, card carrying heterosexual, I must step up for my amigo Boone.
  8. Willow is awesome, as there is a levelling storyline with such an entertaining little set of microquests. It sets a new standard, for sure. There are some other quality companion mods out there as well. Here's a couple: I reeaalllly like Bella's Bunker; she's a cutie, a deadshot, and comes with her own...well....bunker. This gives you a sweet homebase near the Mojave Outpost; well outside of the usual over-built area of Goodsprings. Sadly, the last f'update wrecked her convenient companion wheel operation. The Radioactive Weapons Kit mod comes with Sonia, who is a fun, very visual partygirl; although having access to her, and her weapons inventory, so early in game may be a wee bit overpowering. She's also kinda girlfriend-y. Companion Jane is seemingly simple, and direct; but very well done. She offers something no other companion mod does. She's your sister, and she'll cut your hair! .......and the list goes on........ Happy gaming.
  9. Hi. Whoa. If you mean that NVSE does not appear in your actual load order list......it won't. It shouldn't. Since this isn't a mod, but a utility program, you don't want to use FOMM to install it. Stick with the manual install, and instructions, as Tunaisafish says. This feature will activate as you press "Launch NVSE" from the manager screen.
  10. I've seen it in a vision....the "My Baby Daddy" male companion for FONV. He says you're the only one in his life, but he's always seen spending time with that cheap Freeside hussy Julie Farkas. You find yourself trying to compete by wearing a lab coat around the bunker. If only you had chosen a spiky mohawk back at Doc Mitchell's! He stops by one afternoon, just for turpetine and some med-x he says; but you know it's a booty call. You give in, hoping he'll at least stay long enough for a well-rested bonus in your owned bed, before heading out again with "the boys". Choking back your tears, the crosshairs of your sniper rifle centered on his head, you whisper........."I'm so sorry baby, even if worked, it never wouldv'e lasted. The next official update's coming out soon.....".
  11. Develop some willpower. Keep a steak knife handy. Every time you abuse that key, jab yourself. With all the buggy issues like "pc getting stuck in a rock", "quest not initiating", "quest item and/or npc not spawning", "quest dependent npc already dead" and many other swell game breakers, you might still want to keep your console-key access available.
  12. I believe that *Ultimatum* was one of the many mods which got borked with the last lovely update. It just got a new file a few days back though. AND There is an even newwer NVSE update (10) as well, which that mod always requires.
  13. lol. Llama, How can I say this, without being edited, warned, or banned.....lol x 2. The BNB bouncing jiggly action comes from "boob bones" in the skeletal frame, right? So in order to get junk sway for a male body, one would need to add a "bone" to that particular area of interest. Although, I personally never ever want to view such a thing wiggling towards me in a game (or anywhere else), you fully have the right to ogle some opposite anatomy. AND: because of your fine female companion mod work for the community (mostly for guys, judging from the bff Willow nekkid dance) we should all demand that some quality body modder step forward to provide you with the fullest of full monties that you deserve. [There. I swear I didn't swear up there.]
  14. Hi. After updating to the 1.3, I experienced this freezing load screen crash thingee as well. Total freeze, forcing me to Log out just to get out. However, I resolved it by getting the new NVSE update (10), and then carefully updating all the mods whose makers courteously uploaded 1.3 patches. Remember, some mods are dependent on other mods which may have needed a patch instead. Things like weapon mods, animations, and beauty packs. After all was done, I also still needed to drop an HK G36 tactical mod which has currently become unusable. Always FOMM and FNVedit wherever possible.
  15. Errr....try starting out with a few less mods, and be sure to read the install/use instructions before enabling them. For example, you can only use Bumbags OR No Straps options for the Military Backpacks mod, nor does his container option work correctly yet, as noted in it's description. (this may have been updated) ....and as for the four glaring Pre-order bonuses in your list..... Did the man whom you bought your game from have a parrot on his shoulder, by any chance? Good Luck.
  16. Hi. Until your magical fairy godmother grants your (our) wish, do a little fun experimentation as I've done. Try the *Body Control* mod, combined with a few different clothing mods created just for those different types. Alter a few, or many, select named npcs, and/or companions, and see where that takes you. The body alterations are persistent, but can be instantly switched back, or to other types. You can also replace the meshes' and textures' folders you do not care for, with others you may download. (mod alteration for personal use only) Have fun.
  17. Methinks, in his zeal to search and find appropriate mods on the Intergoogleweb, perhaps Original Poster may be confusing the Nexus listings with those found on another popular (less organized) FO mod community site; which he had been perusing.
  18. The three Powder Gangers south of Primm disappear kinda quickly at times; as do some bodies when there are MANY recently dead within a game cell. Sometimes, the Tribal Villagers' bodies will vanish, then magically reappear. LOL. Also: In the Willow mod, I had Kenny and Kyle vanish fairly soon after death/looting. ;) Tiny invisible meat eating hippos would be my best guess.
  19. Nazis + flying saucers. How can you go wrong? Methinks once the movie *Iron Sky* comes out, there will be nazi-ufo mods aplenty being produced.
  20. It may be sick fun if we could sell the bodies (strange meat) to certain neutral fiends, for caps, or trade for escort/safe passage through rough areas. You'd hear them going on about eating someone else's spleen for a change.
  21. Didn't spot this thread when I posted my toilet comments in *Discussion-Pet Peeves*, or it would've been put here. Given that every other bodily function is adressed, it sure becomes suprising that the commodes do not operate in a presupposed manner. Technical question lols: Would you still get hit with 3 rads, if there were a little splashback? If you dropped off the kids in an OWNED toilet, does this come with an equivalent to the WELL RESTED bonus?
  22. You need a backpack mod. Just pick any one. They're all nice, that I've seen. Oh, and some nice custom sunglasses. It'll make you happy.
  23. A new companion. One word: Boxxy. Don't pretend like you aren't visualizing gameplay with her right now. Trawlin' the wasteland for Trolls. Imagine how fitting all her various (yet limited?) comments would be in each situation. - "My name is Boxxy." .....when you first meet, hire, re-hire, or she idle chats with other NPCs. - "I saw what you did there." .....when you steal, change clothes, open inner cell doors, etc. - "I love you." ......when she loves you. always. lol. - "I'm not trollin', you're the one trollin'." .....when you change her tactics, follow distance, or inventory. - "You be trollin'!" .....when you do something she disapproves of. - "Trolls!" .....when spotting the enemy. - and many more. (mostly troll related classics) -edit- Ummmm...nah. Just horsing around with a take on Boxxy. No further explanations should really be needed. Sorry for interrupting. Have fun. ...sigh...
  24. Ok. If I'm understanding you first two fellows correctly, you both say you have everthing required to run the Earache; then it may be as simple as a problem with your LOAD ORDERs. The order in which your mods are being loaded. Check those first. FOMM and FNVedit are your friends. Call them to help you move. :)
  25. In the category of : Reasons for not learning Caravan or playing it afterwards ..... Everyone's a winner. This minigame seems like it would be fun in the real world, and the idea does seem fitting to the NV social environment; but the final product plays more like an afterthought here. The aforementioned glitch doesn't help, but there were the various other card related issues also, which doesn't help. (crashes upon purchasing duplicates, new aquisitions not added to inventory, etc.) Plus: Personally, I thought the timing for the ingame tutorial from sissyboy Ringo was odd. Not exactly the very beginning of the game (but close), which is cool; but right as adrenaline builds for the game's first action. wtf. Late entry from a senior programmer spending most of thier time at strip clubs, or playing online poker, perhaps?
