  1. Aha! That's hopeful!. The only skewing factor might be enchanted armor that give too much protection for its type - light armor that gives high enough protection to act as heavy stuff - but maybe a combination of the two values could filter that out. <thinking furiously>
  2. Has anyone made a hair pack with animated rather than static hair? Things like Soya's hairs are great, but as soon as my character moves they clip like crazy. Growlf has made a couple of animated hairs, but as far as I can see only as wigs, which isn't what I'm after. Can anyone suggest an alternative?
  3. OK - so there is no "armor category" tag that can be checked against (fur/leather/chain/steel/glass)? Bother... Nearest I can see to a type variable returns either heavy or light - better than nothing though. No "unarmored" flag though unless someone knows how to be clever
  4. Full walkthrough for many packages is HERE including OOO and Harvest Flora The new Harvest Flora is a direct replacement for the one in OOO - just bypass that when installing
  5. Hi Megatarius, I suspect you are right about how the script would need to work, but I don't think the system would crash. Sensual walks already assigns about 10 different animations depending on class of character, so the only change would be during an equip or unequip. Things might get more complex for the player character in 3rd person view, but shouldn't be insurmountable I hope. I guess a good starting point would be an on equip script to spot high heels and change the walk then.
  6. Reference details http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Plug-ins Details of the official plugins, and where to get them legally. NOT free, unless otherwise stated (currently no free options). ALL available at Bethesda Online store ALL available through Steam. All apart from Fighter's Stronghold available in the Knights of the Nine expansion CD at Amazon and other legitimate retail and auction sources. You can post in search parameters, as long as it's not parameters for one particular seller. But not direct links. ;) Topic posted in the hope it'll stop the stream of requests. Edited to take out the direct site links. It could be taken as promotionalizing that particular sale or item which would be spamming. -DarkeWolf
  7. Unless a mod says "fully voice acted" it usually isn't. The default game doesn't have bank dialogue, so where do you expect the sound files to come from? If the text passes too rapidly, instal Elys' Silent Voice to make the text stay on screen longer
  8. A while back I installed the Sensual Walks for female NPCs mod. I then had the fun of falling off my chair laughing at a half-plate clad, steel-booted female guard mincing across the cobbles like a transvestite hooker in six-inch heels. OK, so I have since managed to adjust the settings a bit, but... Is there a way (or even a mod) that would switch animations to suit the armor being worn? A light leather armor would allow a fair degree of hip-wiggle, a chainmail not much less, but stuff a girl in plate mail and you should HAVE to revert to a "manly stride" (or even a downright stomp). With a mod of that kind, you could have a sexy flirty female character, who is all business in armor, yet as feminine as you wish out of it.
  9. Plenty of map overhaul mods out there. I personally use Dynamic Map. set to a coloured map texture, and find it's a big improvement
  10. Hellchosen - thanks for the input. Changing each khajjit to have a different texture would, indeed, require some work - but if we don't speculate we don't ever find out how to do "the impossible". TNR did texture mods to all basic NPCs facially, so the amount of work isn't impossible, just tedious, and as long as we can assign a custom/specific texture to each NPC it can be done. The trick with varying skeletons is also done by one of Reneer's mods, and does indeed vary body shapes a lot. I'm hoping that, if we decide that Khajiit and/or Argonians need a modified skeleton we can use that technique to apply it. It sounds like the ideal way to apply a change in lower leg size ratio/angle to me, but I'm no expert. There's now a complete stock clothing replacer for A-cup HGEC body, or there's the Biu Adventuresses Body which is a slim B-cup or so body. I personally run the game with "curvy" human females, and AA-cup Argonians since I discovered Drake's Argonian Beautification project, of which this thread is a potential expansion.
  11. Cpu is a little slow - Oblivion doesn't multithread well. Get the 3GB patch too - helps memory useage for some. Yes, you NEED wrye bash to get FCOM to play ball. Remember to do the clean install to c:\Games\Oblivion to avoid UAC problems. Remember a lot of mods require Shivering Isles as well, and that you need different patches for "straight" or "SI" Oblivion to get to v1.2.0.416. Apply the unofficial Oblivion patch and the Unofficial SI patch (if you installed it) after that one. If you install any of the DLC mods from Bethesda, also get the Unofficial Official Mods Patch. Next install OBMM, BOSS, Wrye Bash, and OBSE v19 or later. Then back the whole darn install directory up so you can get back to it again more easily. There are four ways to install FCOM. (1) Manually install each and every mod. (2) Use OBMM to install just about every mod. You CAN convert Franes to OMOD but it's a pain in the posterior. uFCOM creates a OMOD installer for FCOM itelf that works fine. (3) Create BAIN installers for everything and use Wrye Bash to install them (apparently this is supposed to be the best method, but I haven't tried it yet) (4) Download the FCOM superpack and follow the instructions EXACTLY. You'll get assorted other fcom compatible mods added in, which you mnay or may not ltke all of, but it DID work for me when I tried it. Use Wrye Bash with the settings described in the FCOM Superpack Install instructions on the forum there - the settings work for me on any FCOM install I've played with. First run through the tutorial dungeon, set the difficulty a little lower than you are ised to - the creatures and monsters have their stats adjusted and you might get a shock otherwise. Enjoy!
  12. For future reference, the place to ask about mods you know already exist is supposed to be the "Oblivion Mod Detectives" thread under "Oblivion mod talk"
  13. Check the readme for the mod - some mods specify the exact version rather than an "or later" statement. Sometimes it just takes a script tweak, or a different OBSE version. v20 is still officially a beta, so you might have to install v19 for instance. Also check carefully for other related requirements - some mods require an additional OBSE plugin such as "Pluggy" to work. ... and check it's not a missing copy of OBGE if it's a graphics-related mod.
  14. If we're suggesting cloth, we ought to have at least the implication of a weaving process to MAKE the cloth - after all, those rugs and wall hangings have to come from someplace and even a tapestry needs a woven backing. You could even start in the tutorial cell with a needle and some sacking - prisoners have been sewing sacks for donkey's years. I've also used a mod recently that had the ability to bleach cloth and fabricate armor bits - but for the life of me cannot remember WHICH mod it was. Nehrim impliments a mining/crafting mod of some kind but porting it across might be tricky. However, it shows what can be done.
  15. If you DO reinstall, follow the recommended workaround for UAC and install to C:\Games\Oblivion. That should prevent further annoyances with M$'s halfwit "anti tamper" facility
  16. Look at the EVE HGEC armor - that comes in a choice of C or E cup settings
  17. Sounds like your version will add to the experience much better than the basic function will - FAR better
  18. Maybe not - the only armor replacer I can see for HGEC with the Blackwood armor explicitly mentioned is THIS one
  19. Just make a custom install set of the A-cup tops, and INSTALL it last - the load order doesn't matter then.
  20. Couldn't spot this tip here anyplace, so... If you are trying to run Oblivion with OBSE, and the system gets stuck in the menu loop with no text, try disabling the AA on your graphics card. You can then try turning the AA level up again until the problem recurs, but it may have to stay at 2x or off. Seems to be driver dependant, and has been seen on XP SP3.
  21. If they do, please crosspost a link to the topic we have running on generally improving Khajiit and Argonian looks - "Proper" khajit and argonian bodyshapes/animations
  22. You could try http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10506 Alternatively look at the Argonian Beautification mod - that links to the Improved Argonian Body Textures and Improved Argonians Facial Textures With the Scripted Feet in action, and the morrowind-style heads mod, what you get for female argonians looks more or less like this
  23. Did you try the ModActorValue2 function in obse?
  24. Traditionally, it's three days around full moon - that can take up to 25 days to get to I guess
