  1. nvm. i figured it out. i guess the Sniper was one removed from the game so by default its set us unplayable. all i needed to do was check "playable"...not sure if i did this last time or if i found a different Anti Material Rifle all together instead of the Oliver AMR i had this time around....either way, i solved my own problem.
  2. honestly, there is no need to switch from the 1100T to the Bulldozer (Zambezi) CPU. the price is just too high and you wont be getting much better performance. in fact in some area, the 1100T does better, and uses a lot less power. i would say just keep the 1100T until the next line comes out (piledriver) and see how those hold up. and on the case, take the saved money from the CPU and get the HAF 932. full tower case, great airflow. looks good and solidly made. its more expensive then the Phantom, though its on sale or something (id guess black friday lol, dunno how long its lasts) right now cause its much cheaper then normal (normally ~$150, but its $120 right now, plus a $25 rebate) other then that, its a pretty solid build.....not sure how much power youll need. the Newegg PSU Calculator says around 800W. i usually suggest this PSU cause of its high wattage, 80 Plus Gold, modular and its a trusted PSU name brand, but with only a 50W clearance, not sure....never realized how much power AMD GPUs use....the calc says two 560Ti's with the same build only use 750W! but ya. its a nice build, just my opinion on the CPU and Case
  3. ok so i just uninstalled FONV and all the mods i had and reinstalled it. i had a bunch of mods before some i used, some i didnt and yea, it was just messy. i messed with a bunch of numbers on weapons and i couldnt really fix them. so i just redid the game. one thing i did before was i put a box in the beginning of the game and put a few weapons in it that i liked renamed them so they would feel flavorful ,put in some ammo and caps, just some stuff to start off with. i did this last time and had no problems. im doing this again, and am having no problems except one weapon. Every weapon/item i put in the box shows up, renamed and everything except the Anti Material Sniper Rifle. it worked my last time. im not sure why this one weapon wont show up in the box. what could be happening and how do i fix it? thanks for your help guys :)
  4. StarCraft 2. ive gotten tons of hours just from the campaign alone. once i beat it on normal and hard, i went through and had fun with cheat code. plus there is the online multiplayer, both vs other player or custom maps (where i spend all my time. dont care for playing against others. my playstyle doesnt go well online, and if i cant play that way, its not fun for me) and of course you can just play against the AI. Dragon Age Origins. it takes me roughly 60 hours per full playthrough. i played through 3 full times, twice normal and once with mods (which was 40 hours) and quite a few partial play throughs. Torchlight, very very similar to Diablo, tons and tons of fun. there are mods for it as well, though i never tried them out Mass Effects. both games are great. never played ME1 (just going off popular opinion), but i played ME2 four times through, so it can really suck up lots of time if you like it. its a shooter, but its also an RPG and an RTS, in the sense that you have to make real time decisions and use your abilities on the spot, and on the more difficult levels, esp insane, making use of your abilities is crucial. the Warhammer 40k RTSs are pretty fun. i have Dawn of War, kind of gone in and out of it, but if you find it cheap on Steam, give it a try. Nexus has a new site for Dungeon Defenders, i tried the Demo and it was really fun. its a cross between a Tower Defense and a 3rd person RPG. great concept and yea. im in the Beta for SWTOR, i can tell you its a ton o fun, so keep an eye out for that next month. and thats all i can think of atm.
  5. actually the Asus MARS II is the most powerful single (kinda) GPU on the market lol and of course, if i had the money to spend on any PC i wanted, i would deff do a lot more research then just picking the highest number (for GPUs)/most expensiv of things off of newegg. lol :P
  6. ya all the FONV DLC for like ~$10. too bad i dont like FONV enough to buy the DLC, or this would be amazing! Mass Effect 2 for just $5!. already beat it on PS3 four times, and wasnt too comfortable with it on PC, but for $5 i might just get it anyways. i loved the game and wouldnt mind playing it on PC now that i already know the game nd how to play it
  7. point was, its fun to put together hypothetical super rigs, its for fun. something none of us are going to do unless we win the lottery. i would seriously have to win like a million dollars to spend 10k on a PC. anything less and i got better things to put that money to. like the rest of college and future education, a house, a new car (cause why not?) and of course savings for the future. then, only after all the is taken care of, would i consider spending money on a super rig....but if the winnings are only something like 100k or whatever, the rest of my priorities take, well priority for a lack of a better word, and 10k would cut too deep into a 100k winnings, and would rather keep that money for the things i listed.....though with a 100k lottery, i wouldnt mind spending maybe 5k on a rig, which is why i listed two....the second one being a more obtainable built.
  8. on note of the "test" i really think that games are too easy, esp RPGs. games hold your hand too much today, and now, it takes away from the sense of pride and accomplishment it takes to get good and understand the game, when games hold your hand so much. not just in RPGs but across all genres. give me a mini map. thats all i need
  9. wasnt Dark Horse the ones who did the ME2 comic for Ps3? if not, where do i know that name from, sounds so familiar!!!
  10. and make sure your scanning in Safe Mode. some viruses know how to route them selves around anti-virus programs to make them think they are safe. running in safe mode can help
  11. pretty sure a judge rules OWS to be broken up like last week. they ppl there are pathetic...get a job. you know no one there has a job, because any working person wouldnt have the time to protest, whether they believed in the cause or not. besides, from what ive seen, what they were doing was against the law anyways, 1st Amendment says; "Peacefully Assemble" there were plenty of accounts of non peaceful acts going on, which basically turns it into a mob and not a protest. it doesnt matter if its only a few ppl doing it and not the majority. those few ppl ruin it for the majority. either way, i still disagree with them, and think they all need to get lives (did not follow this thread, read the OP and the last couple of posts and that was it)

  13. pizza is a baked good. its just as much dough as it is anything else, and in that case, its as much dairy as anything too cause of the cheese. pizza is pizza. its a food. its not one of the main food groups and should/cant be classified as such.
  14. I definitely don't understand your pov. You dont have to understand. thats why its MY point of view and not yours. i dont like the game, i didnt get it. simple as that.
  15. i used to have a wireless microsoft mouse. found out i really hate wireless. i always forget to turn it off. and i like a mouse with the back/forward buttons. great for browsing the internet, and great in games. the g500 i just bought has a few extra buttons, although its like they are tied together. for example, if i program one button, it automatically programs another button with the same mapping, and no matter what i do, i cant get them to have separate functions....no biggie, but is kind of frustrating lol.....i prolly should read the little manual that comes with it, would prolly help. but yea, its a great mouse, fits nicely in my hand and has waaay better tracking then my old wireless mouse..
  16. no. what is the package manager?...more, i mean how do i use it, i see a package manager in FOMM. thanks for your help! i wish i understood mods better and how to use them :P
  17. unfortunately that didnt work. i uninstalled the mod that was giving me issues that i wanted to fix (the WME mod) and reinstalled it, didnt separate anything, and i still get the giant Red X when i put a 9mm silencer on my 9mm gun (which is apart of the mod)
  18. so its obvious im doing something wrong, cause this happens almost every time....i extract the files to my desk top. and separate each folder...meshes with meshes, textures with textures and sounds with sounds....am i not supposed to do this? am i supposed to just leave it all in the Data folder? and not separate them?
  19. the best way to keep temps down, overall, is wire management. tie down your cables, route them through the case if possible. keep the airflow in the case as good as possible. upgrading your fans can always help. Cases can sometimes have some good fans, but other times, swapping them out for some good 3rd party fans can help cool it off a little better. and lastly, keep the room cool. maybe keep a fan in there, keep the air in the room moving. so the PC isnt sitting in its own heat.
  20. omg. there was more then one page! :wallbash: :wallbash: \ never felt like more of a noob in my life! lol
  21. i really hate the look of the 10mm gun, prefer the 9mm gun. but there is no silencer for it. so ive been using the 22silenced gun, looks kind of funny, but i like it better then the 10mm but how do i make the 9mm silenced? with or without a silencer?
  22. idk, its just better then the RAM i had all positive reviews (though only 9, but still lol) and yea. it looks cooler then the RAM i have lol. looks count for a lot. yea i wish i had the money to build something like this. we will see. its not totally unfathomable, like its a lot, but its something id have to see what expenses i have at the time and stuff. id have to start out small though, like only buy one 580, or maybe just get the 2500k (which isnt much of a loss anyways)...get a cheaper keyboard (g110 is what im planning now), get the SSD later, things like that. all that would shave another $500 or so off the initial cost. maybe get the HAF 932 instead. but now im veering away from a ultimate build, and more of a solid build with 580s lol. but its nice to plan out, cause its not completely out of reach if i wanted to do something like this....could save a lot of money on the mobo too. dont need a $350 mobo :P (though it looks cool lol) and i got the mouse based of that mouse thread someone posted a little while back. it was the cheapest out of the ones mentioned. i just got it yesterday. i wanted a wired mouse, was sick of having a wireless and forgetting to shut it off. and i had dropped it a lot, and it was starting to wear out, was a couple years old i think....really liking the g500 so far. though dont know how macros work and idk how to program them lol
  23. most of it is the same, but i think this would be something i would buy. and its tailored to by liking, not just the best in every area. Case Mobo CPU RAM GPU x2 PSU SDD HDD Monitor H60 Speakers Keyboard Mouse as i said, this is something i would build. and not feel guilty about spending soo much money. ending price comes up to $2972.02US (with $40 in rebates lol)..still a very good PC. two 580s will play anything out right now, and the 2600k is the best CPU out for price right now. 8gb of good RAM is plenty..i have a 300gb HDD in my laptop and i havent filled it up yet (granted i have like 24gb left hah) so the 628gb id be getting from the SSD/HDD would be plenty for me for a long time to come. and i have a 1tb external drive here as well if i needed to make room. the monitor is exactly what id want. good size. i dont need one thats basically a TV, and i dont need multiple monitors. cheap speakers cause id be using headphones mostly. no sound card because of that. anything i want sound for, i watch on my PS3/TV anyways. the mouse is the current mouse i have so ya. id be happy with this build, and its relatively cheaper for a strong build too....more expensive then i can afford still lol. even further, is i could save another $100 on RAM, because i already have 8gb of unopened RAM sitting here at my house waiting for when i build a PC....though im thinking about selling it on ebay or something so i can get a little bit better RAM just because. but i really dont wanna sell on ebay, and i cant find any friends who wanna buy some RAM lol so i might not even do it in the end. but ya.
