  1. Arthmoor, you are conveniently forgetting the fact that one person DID make a WORKING fork. But, the SKSE team had it shut down. They supposedly gave him an option to join the team or cease and desist. Apparently he chose to discontinue his project. I really don't think an option was given. I mean think about it: If you could make a fork of SKSE and the team offered you a place on their legendary team, wouldn't you accept it? I know I would. But, anyways. Even if another person was to make another fork, BeHippo and the team would just have it shut down again. I have been a staunch supporter of the SKSE team over the years. I've even defended their right to postpone and even kill the program off if that's their choice. But, with that said, I feel that if a fork is made, then people should just let it happen. That's just my 2cents for what it's worth. If there's a deal between the SKSE team and Beth then a fork would totally break any terms of that deal. And having SKSE on steam I'd think is a pretty good indication of there being a sort of deal with the game devs. I don't know about that. What I do know, is that about 98% of people are losing hope and BeHippo and the team seem to not give a darn. There's something going on under the sheets that none of us see or know. Even though I'm a staunch supporter, I think the team needs to step up and say SOMETHING. Even if it's just to tell us to STFU.

  3. They (regrettably) have said that they cannot accept any sort of financial support (at least where SKSE is concerned.) One of the popular theories is that they are actually under an NDA with Bethesda in regards to their work. I'm pretty sure that BeHippo, has actually stated in the past, that they work in the gaming industry and that is why they cannot accept money for SKSE.
  4. It was started by another person awhile back. He was asked to join the team or stop attempts. He stopped his attempts. It had a fairly good start. Several things were working. But, the team frowns on things being forked. So there you go. Hope that answers any questions about forking.
  5. Everyone needs to remember that these guys have REAL lives. REAL jobs. So, when it's ready, they will let us all know. Until then, bashing out "Are we there yet?" posts, are NOT going to help. If anything, it COULD delay the release. So, just relax.
  6. Before you close this let me chime in here with an opinion on the actual question being asked. I f you take the time to read the statement by apollodown, which apparently most people here have not done, you should note that he did not take his mods down because Trump won; he took them down because of his own realization that a large proportion of people downloading his mods would hold political opinions that he himself would be offended by - in other words Hilary's basket of deplorables. Speaking as one of the deplorables - I would have voted Trump if I could have, I think he is wrong about Trump supporters, but not wrong to take down his mods. If he really believes that Trump supporters are a bunch of hateful neo-Nazis and fascists and he doesn't want to share with them, then going by the logic he is operating under, his choice to remove his mods would be brave and moral. It is his perception that is flawed, not his decision. His decision was based on the perception. It is a small example of the political climate in the US right now. No one is listening to what anyone else is really saying as they all talk past each other. It's time for people to start listening to each other with open minds instead of succumbing to their worst fears. Wasn't it Hilary, who after she lost, urged people to give Trump a chance, or did I dream that? Finally. Someone who actually reads and understands. Most people only see "Trump vs Clinton" in any post that mentions either or. "It's time for people to start listening to each other with open minds instead of succumbing to their worst fears. " Isn't that kind of what Trump said after he won the election? I agree that people have the right to do as they see fit when it comes to how they believe. Barring terrorist/harmful actions of course. This mod author sees things through a damaged perspective. But, he believes his view and took action. By taking his mods down. Right, or wrong, it was his decision and he made it.
  7. Could a staff member close my post please? No one can stay on topic. Thank you.
  8. Ok. Ok. Let's get back on track. This isn't the "Why Trump Won" post. This is asking what people thought about a modder is blaming Trump becoming president as his reason for removing his mods. If you want to banter about Trump being awful, or Hillary being cheated, please take it elsewhere. Thank you.
  9. Yeah. Trump wouldn't have been my choice for the ® candidate. But, it is what it is. Hillary, whom he's a heavy supporter, would have been the worst case scenario. Sounds like you're in Ca. I hate this state with a passion. I cannot wait to move. But, I know what you mean. The US has gone down the shitter in the last 40+ years.
  10. I rarely go there anymore. Besides, I don't even have an acct. I just pop on ever so often and I saw that. Never login because I got banned there for: Quoting another member and misconstruing it. Plus being a general ass. Kind of funny that the member I quoted happened to be a staff member talking about piracy and the general ass part was just me responding to his exact words about piracy and asking him if he got caught and ends up in prison, should I send money to his books or his new big boyfriend. Yeah. I guess I deserved the ban. LMAO!
  11. on modders removing their mods because of who the president is? I ask, because I just popped onto Reddit and found a post that was made about a month ago. https://www.reddit.com/r/skyrimmods/comments/5jsr5j/why_i_decided_to_quitat_least_for_the_time_being/?sort=new You can pop on over to read it if you'd like. Just wondering what people think.
  12. Let's just say that I'm NOT Liberal in anything that I do or say. Not politically correct either. I see no reason to kiss someone's backside for any reason. If someone gets butt hurt over anything that I say or do, that's on them. I don't coddle anyone.
  13. Believe me, I know. But, it's how I feel. Just call me The Draconian Neanderthal.
  14. Tell me, did you harass Trashcan Carla before going back to Sanctuary Hills?
  15. I removed my mods due to another reason than theft, but, my mod NCR T-51B for NV was stolen a month after I put it up. I found it on a couple other sites and the uploader claimed it as their's. I also found it on a Russian and a Chinese site. Those translations of it were at least honest. They mentioned me and linked to my mod. But, mod theft is like software/game/movie/music piracy. If it's put out there, and it's something someone wants, they will steal it. I honestly feel that the world govs need to get together and stamp it out. Give out harsh federal prison terms to anyone pirating anything. That will be the only way to end it. First time offense = 25 years in prison. Treat it as a capital offense. I will not apologize if that pisses anyone off. If you're a pirate, you deserve it. I mean look what happens to pirates at sea? They are either killed by the authorities or they are caught and receive the highest sentences. So, deal with it.
  16. So, you might know that I've taken over another modder's mod. TheScout201's weightless junk. Anyways, I really want to make it my own. I re-wrote the scripting, changed out some images, basic stuff. But, is it possible to actually change the structure, to make the installer look different that what you show above?
  17. Would give a variety of choices other than the stock pipe weapons. Now, some of these would be impractical to make in FO4. Anyways. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umrUYRt6vJ0
  18. Not sure if it's doable since there's not many pics of it. But, here's one from season 2 where Roman is found dead. http://i64.tinypic.com/qo7ho8.png
  19. AlexScorpion just released one: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/20622/?
  20. Which never happened to me, using dozens of mods simulateneously. So, to use your choice of words, maybe you're the one talking crap. First, by installing manually, secondly by not updating DCMS when an update was available, and thirdly because you blame your problems on one mod, just because disabling it seemed to take care of your issues. Without any regards to the possibility that another one of your rather peculiar choice of mods may have caused a problem with an outdated version of DCMS and/or better settlers, and/or DLC and/or official patch. The possibilities are endless. By installing manually I also assume you don't uninstall any of your mods to install a new version but simply overwrite the files in your folders. First off, you're completely off with your assumption. My entire folder is backed up to the latest FO4 release. So if something goes wrong, I just start over. For me, it's no biggie. Secondly, wow. You are one rude piece of work. I'm done with this convo.
  21. No. You're not talking crap. Maybe it's because I install mods manually. I don't know. But, for me, DCMS is mandatory. So, if a mod causes issues with it, I remove it.
  22. With Bethesda, it was about being attacked over not making my mods available for consoles. Here on the Nexus, it was about staff allowing SOME people to ACTUALLY steal other people's work while NOT giving credit and banning others, or threatening to ban them, even though THOSE people gave credit where it was due. Where in the first case, they didn't. Reporting the mods got no where. To me that says something.
  23. I'm sure. Like I said, I only experienced a problem after I added in BS. As soon as I removed it, the problem was gone. I also had issues when running UFOP. So, that got the boot also.
  24. I've removed or hidden most of my files after a little situation here at the Nexus after the release of SkyrimSE. Prior to that, I removed them from the Bethesda site. Doesn't look good. But, things are just falling apart everywhere.
