By the way... Striker, I missed your reply to my texture comment. Thank you, I'm not satisfied about it came out, and trying to improve it, but both of these laptops simply can't stand working with the vector file I use to create the base texture (it's impossible for me creating it straight with GIMP). Cheers!

WEE, I personally use very few clothing and armor replacers, other than Robert's, for my males, and Nuska's Protective armors for my females. I don't like my female warriors dressing like, let's say, mademoiselles with negotiable affection. However, since I created the Abysmers and play almost exclusively as one of them, I use the standard Duty Uniform of the Abysmer Army, based on LittleBaron's Exotic Ayleid Armors. My Abysmer females wear the same lots-of-exposed-skin, not because you can haggle with them how much they love you, but because they are fish people and have gills in their necks and torsos, and covering these gills is a death sentence for them. By the way, approaching an Abysmer lady and asking her "How much, babe?" is a death sentence for you. Also, I like to create my own armors, mash-uping them and so on. But I have also a taste for stylish and even sexy clothing for both males and females. I recommend you perusing through Sinblood, Alienslof, LittleBaron, Rooms (I never remember the number he puts on his nick, as well as the one Striker uses), Chakaru11 (yay, I remember HERS!), all of them have clothing that is sexy, yet tasteful. Sinblood's Lethal Majesty outfit is a Must Have in any of my installations, and it has both HGEC and RobFem versions. The Eyren Vampire Hunter Armor also accompanies me in all my journeys. There's a male version too, but you must find Alienslof's Lair to get it. Roadstroker has some impressive stuff also, his Assassin's Creed costumes are awe-inspiring. I dunno, look at all the pictures I have uploaded at the Nexus and ask for anything you see and like there. Cheers! -

Striker, you forgot to mention that the Packdonkeys, in some circumstances, can become a very useful and effective weapon of mass destruction. Ryan's charming personality is purely accidental, I swear. Even now, with the knowledge about AI I have gained over the course of the years, I find myself unable to replicate such an infuriat... uh, I mean, lovely personality. Trust me, I have tried. Hardly. Before starting to add mods that change things, you should play the vanilla game to have a feel on how it is. At least to mid-Main Quest. New Quest and Adventures should be installed once the Main Quest is finished, to expand your gameplay lifespan. If your computer is powerful enough, you could think about high resolution textures (Qarl's Texture Pack 3 Redimized is the King of this), better FX effects (Oblivion Reloaded, forget about OBGE, it's outdated and OR is its successor), gameplay mechanics (Maskar's Oblivion Overhaul is the only one compatible with your current Seamless OCO installation, but it makes the game an hell of harder)... I'm right now re-playing the Lost Spires mod, my favourite Quest mod, which I strongly recommend to you. But one step at a time. Play some time with your game as is. About armor and weapons pack, if you like scantily clad warrior women, you have plenty of choices, and if you prefer more realism and practicality, have a look at Nuska's Protective Armors and the expansions to this Protective series other modders added. Oh, if you suffer from Dyogenes Syndrome, that is, you loot everything and keep everything, consider installing the Packdonkeys as Striker, or the Bag of Holding as me. Companions are something cute, The top one is Emma's Companion Vilja, a truli sophisticated one. If you don't like a fictional character to be smarter and more intelligent than you, my own CM Partners are a good choice, especially the trustfully, loyal, reliable and always faithful Ryan. What about being of an exotical race, like the Abysmer? Tell us a little about your tastes, what you think the game could be improved on, and we will point you to the correct path (or right to the edge of a cliff, just for laughs). Cheers! -

Hey, Wee! Yeah, I see the pics now! Yes! Those are Seamless characters! Especially the girl (she's a Breton, is she? Or a Nord?) with that fair skin is a perfect example. Nothing wrong there, all working as expected. Now, do not forget to test thoroughly once you have added a mod, before adding another one, this way you will always know WHAT f*cked up your installation. Mission Accomplished! Cheers! -
If you aren't using FRAPS or ALenet's SMAA Injector, you need to enable screenshots in the Oblivion.ini file (the one located in your MyGames\Oblivion folder, not Oblivion_default.ini in your Oblivion root directory.. Must go out now, familiy business, see you later! Cheers!

If CSE works, then do not use the Wrye Bash esmifying technique. Start anew with a freshly mod: Check Reznod's Mannequins in the CSE Files, but do not make it active. As soon as the CSE has loaded, SAVE AS an esp and exit. Launch the CSE again, and this time, check Reznod's first and then your newly created mod (BOTH ESPS, NO ESMIFYING HERE), and make your mod the Active File. Build your mannequin and test it in game. Your current mod isn't working most likely because the dependencies are not properly saved inside it. Note: I don't recall if by default, the CSE loads also all the dependencies for the Active File. Mine does, but I think I recall it does because I told it to do so. To be sure, manually check your dependencies first, before checking your mod and making it the Active File. Cheers!

--continuing-- About the mods you want to use now, I'm not sure about Midas Magic Spells, as long as it does not change any race stat or asset, it's safe for use. Long time I don't use Apachii Goddess Store as a whole, I just take the resources I want from the package and put them in my game myself, but as long as I remember, it's safe with OCO. But it's a real FPS killer when you approach the Store and enter it, Apachii really went crazy adding things to the decoration. The stutter remover is a MUST HAVE, I could not play without it. You need to experiment a little with the ini settings until you find the one most effective with your build. You will ear also about Streamline, do not use it alongside Stutter Remover, they conflict badly (and I ended up uninstalling Streamline because it caused more troubles than anything in my low-end computer...). And... HOORAY. You reached success and now you know far more about "modern Oblivion modding" than yesterday. Now go and eat the world. http://thoughtcatalog.files.wordpress.com/2013/07/tumblr_m9zw7iitej1qkh45oo1_500.gif Go! Cheers! -

Wee, your characters don't show up here. You need to upload the images to the Inernet, and then use the Add Image button in the upper icons bar of the Editor, or attach them as external files from your computer using the Full Editor ("More Reply Options" button down here). Darnified UI (I use the DarkUI Darn version) has collapsable item categories, so the Keychain (which is indeed pure poison, one of the worst scripted mods possible) is redundant. Uh-Oh, new reply added, let's see. Cheers! -
Lupis, I thought you had solved the CSE issue and were able to use it normally. Was I wrong? You missed the step of turning back the esm into an esp, and re-assigning your mod its dependency from the esm to the esp version of the Reznod Mannequins. Or better even, work with a copy of Reznod's Mannequins, turn it into an esm, and when you want to test your mod, put your mod dependency on the original esp. But, really your CSE doesn't work? Did I miss any message here last night? Cheers!

Oh, about Blender, I have a very basic understanding and skillset on it. I can model simple things, edit and modify existing meshes, adjust rigging, bake textures... nothing impressive. But right now my bro-in-law laptop collapses in agony if I try to launch Blender. Texturing... well, let's forget about creating new textures on my owh. Striker saw the results on my attempt to create a scales chainmail for my Abysmers. The fact that he pretends he has not seen it and refuses to even aknowledge its existence is indicator enough to have an idea about my success. Yep, I saw your "Mentor Wanted", but since I was already here tearing your sanity in small pieces, did not feel the necessity to do the same there, and my absence in that post will allow other modders to answer there instead of running away in terror and shrieks as soon as they see my name in the Replies. Now gonna go stuff my snout into the paella my bro-in-law is cooking right now. See ya later! Cheers!

Thanks, Striker. Now, let's start calling the nearest Hospitals because I suspect we will find Wee there, after suffering a severe cerebral aneurysm after the epic Russian saga I stamped against his skull. Poor child. Cheers! -
Hey, Lupis! About tileset resources, what have you in mind more or less exactly? I know about some pretty good interior tileset resources, but I need to know the style you want for them. I don't know much about scripting. The simple script to activate the Map Marker and the Outpost door for my Abysmer v2 took me almost two weeks to finish all by myself. About packaging other author's assets as a resource for your mod, you have two ways to do it: Do not include the assets in your release, but state in the Description and the Readme that the original mod is a Requirement. Or, ask permission from the authors to include their assets in your release (most likely the Description and Readme already state if you can do it or not, but it's proper etiquette to ask first even if mentioned in the Readme). To package your mod for release, you have various ways to do it: Manually re-create the directory and files structure in a separate folder out of your Data folder, and then use this copy to create the zip file or the omod installer. If your mod does not rely on Blockhead to override assets, you can use TES4Files to do the copy of the mod's directory and files for you, and then use it to create the zip file or the omod installer. TES4Files also will warn you about incorrectly set texture paths in the nif files, and even can package your mod into a bsa file better than OBMM BSA creator does. However, when using BH Overrides, TES$Files cannot understand they are used and leaves the Overrides directory out of the package. Cheers!

Hey, Wee! Here I am, fresh and alert. WARNING: READ THOROUGHLY THIS LEW-TOLSTOY-SIZED WALL OF TEXT BEFORE TOUCHING ANYTHING IN YOUR GAME. FAILURE TO READ THIS FIRST WILL GRANT YOU A COURT MARTIAL AND SUMMARY EXEC.. ER, I MEAN, A SCOLDING. Perused throug your session with Striker past night and looks like you survived unscathed. Yes, male textures being screwed-up after installing OCO v2 is what I expected. Remember, I told you not to install the Robert Male texture compatibility patch. However, I have changed my mind. Download OCO's Robert Male Texture Compatibility Patch and install it. The reason I initially told you to not install it is because we will overwrite the textures with the Seamless ones, BUT, the Seamless series does not include textures for Khajiit and Orcs, and I was planning to force you to install them separately. However, let's keep things as simple as possible, and install OCO's Roberts textures. Female textures should be screwed up also, but that's unimportant, between the Seamless and Ozmo's textures we will be served. Let's recap what you did and the State of the Union here: OBSE: V Blockhead: V Robert Male Body Replacer: V Robert Male Stock Clothing and Armors: V EVE HGEC body: V EVE HGEC Stock Clothing and Armors: V Oblivion Character Overhaul v2.3: V Some notes about wath you did: the optional head the Robert Male asked you to install was unnecessary. You have overwritten it with Nuska's head when installed OCO. Robert's head is a variation of the vanilla head, with the rigging modified to reduce neck seam. Nuska's head also have this rigging. Moreover, Nuska's head geometry is different, you wouldn't have OCO face geometry with Robert Head. How many of EVE's esps you need depends on what you have installed in your game. The only one you need is the Clothing and Armors, as Striker informed. If you have the Shivering Isles and the Knights of the Nine official DLCS installed, then you need these two esps too. The Khajiit Fix is in the way, so drop it (it's the same as with Robert esp, OCO will take care of the changes implemented by it). Leaving these esps active while installing OCO haves no effect. It's before you do the Archive Invalidation thing you need to be sure you have them inactive. At this moment, install Oblivion Character Overhaul Robert Male Body Textures Patch. You don't need to create an omod from it, since you already did with OCO's core package, and the reason to create an omod is so uninstallation is easier with it. Uninstalling OCO core's omod will also uninstall the Patch textures, so simply install them manually. Now that you have all of the aforementioned warfare arsenal installed and active (or inactive as required), do the Archive Invalidation thing, launch your game and do what Striker told you: test everything for at least the complete Tutorial Dungeon and go to Vilverin and reduce its current population to exactly One (you). TIP: Just before you are about to exit the Sewer at the end of the Tutorial, SAVE IN A NEW SLOT and keep this savegame safe. This way, you will not need to start again the whole Tutorial if you want to create a new character, change class, birthsign, whatever. You could use a Skip Tutorial or Alternate Beginnings mod, or just use the console to change race, sex, class and birthsign, but having a savegame just before the end of the Tutorial always comes handy. Okay, so you have finished the Tutorial, ensured that you left NOTHING alive at Vilverin, OCO is working flawlessly (albeit with the Neck Seams), so we will continue the installation To go: Seamless Equipment, Robert Male version. Seamless Equipment, HGEC version. Seamless Heads, Nuska Edition. Ozmo's HGEC High-Rez textures (optional). Let's go. Do you remember which Male Body option you chose for Robert Male Body? Yes? No? Sigh. I use the Muscular Athletic variant for the default body (I change it for my PC via Blockhead, but you always need a default body installed). So, my choice, in the Seamless Equipment package, is MuscAth. We will take it as a reference. So, from the Seamless Equipment, we will take... First, do not use Wrye Bash nor OBMM to install the Seamless Equipments. We don't want more omods in the way. Do exactly as I instruct here. Failure to blindly follow my instructions will grant you a Court Martial and most likely a firing squad, or at least being meaningly frowned at you. Unpack the Seamless Equipment, Robert Male v5.2 CORE package. Locate the 005 Core Files - Musc with Pants and Musc Outfits folder. Select both Textures and Meshes folders it contains, RIGHT CLICK-COPY. Now, in a new window of your Windows Explorer, navigate to your Main Oblivion installation directory, open the Data folder, make sure you can see the Meshes and Textures folders it contains, and RIGHT-CLICK in an empty spot there (or RIGHT-CLICK the very same Data folder) and PASTE. A warning popup will tell you "This location already contains a folder called Meshes, are you sure...", click YES TO ALL there and leave the rest to reach its natural conclusion. Done? Good. Back to the Seamless Equipment package. Decisions, decisions: are you ok with your males wearing underwear or you would prefer them going commando, with their... flags... twirling at the wind? If you prefer your manly attributes to be as free as Willy, that is, if you want the Nude version, locate the folder that contains the assets for your choice of body. In my case, it's the 010 MuscAth Body Nude folder. If you prefer wearing pants, that would be the 020 MuscAth - Add Pants (number or desired lingerie model). Either way, open the folder, RIGHT-CLICK the Meshes folder it contains, go to your Data folder and RIGHT-CLICK: PASTE there (again, the warning popup telling you about the presence of a Meshes folder there, YES TO ALL). TIP: this is important: when manually installing something, if the Warning Popup does not jumps to your throat, you most likely are pasting in the wrong place. Double-check what you're doing. Done that? Then go back to the Seamless Package and locate the folder containing the Stock Outfits addons for your body type. In my case, it's 015 Stock Outfits for MuscAth-SLAth-BrzDefined. There's a Meshes folder inside that folder. You know what to do with it. Don't hesitate, do it. That's all about the body, stock clothes and armors meshes. ASHAMED CONFESSION: you could have used Wrye Bash to install it, with a nice picture-guided wizard, but I think it's advisable you learn how to manually install things and that was a good opportunity to shove the basics down your esophagus. Yes, I know, I am a bad person despite my angelical beauty. Striker warned you. No whining now. If you are using any or the following mods and overhauls: Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul (incompatible with OCO) Martigen's Monster Mod (dunno) Francesco's Leveled Cretures (does such a thing exist?) Armamentarium (I've been told it's OCO-friendly, but really don't know) Artifacts (what's that supposed to be? Why do you never tell me things? Always keeping secrets from me! I want the divorce!) you can find the Seamless patches for them in the Addons packages. Let's focus our attention to the distaff side now. Unpack the SE - HGEC Core package. Locate the folders corresponding to your body choice. When using HGEC, I use the EBE version, so in my case it would be the 10 EBE E-Cup Nude folder (I would prefer a version with the C-Cup buoyancy apparatus, but alas, there is none. Life is not fair, matey). It contains a Meshes folder. Copy-Paste you know where. Do the same with the 15 Lowerbody EBE Nude (or underwear, but I will feel genuinely surprised if you choose the Underwear version... Even me, with my particular gastronomic tastes, always choose the nude female versions). Now, repeat the procedure with the following folders: 20 Equipment Replacer Upperbody - EBE E-Cup 25 Equipment Replacer Lowerbody - EBE That's all for the ladies. Now, the Final Step, at last! But first, we will go to pay our respects to Mother Nature. *later, zipping his pants* Unpack the SH-Nuska OCO v2 package. Take the Data folder it contains, and copy-paste it inside your Oblivion folder, overwriting the pre-existing Data folder there. This will install not only the Seam-mended head meshes, but also the seamless default body textures for Dark Elves, Dark Seducers, Dremoras, Golden Saints (and High Elves, they share this body and head texture), Imperials (shared by Bretons, Nords, Redguards and Wood Elves) and all the face textures. Note that this will not install textures for Argonians, Khajiit and Orcs. I was planning on forcing you to search and install them manually, but I decided to have pity on you, you poor little thing, so I changed my mind about installing the Robert Textures OCO patch. This package also installs default HGEC female body and head textures, overwriting EVE's ones. Right now, you don't need to do more. You have a completely functional OCO and Seamless Series installation, Robert Males and HGEC females, so... TEST IT. TEST IT RIGHT NOW. Make sure no weird things occur with your bodies and faces. Any strange thing you see, discoloration, disproportion, mass species extinction, report it here before doing anything silly to "correct" it. The only thing you are allowed to try to "correct" any issue before reporting here is re-running Archive Invalidation. Nothing else. Remember, I'm quite Court-Martial-Trigger easy. If all looks correct, then you can ruin it by installing Ozmo's textures. But I don't recommend you to use its installer. Rather than that, I would unpack it, and manually choose and install the textures you want. I say this because I haven't got the faintest idea about if or how much Ozmo's installer would mess up and ruin your OCO and Seamless installation. Replacing your installed textures one by one sounds safer to me. Well, matey, still alive? Cheers! -

Hey, Wee! You can install Growlf's Skeleton at any moment, but I recommend leaving it for right before installing the Seamless things. I don't use BBB animations, so it's Striker's terrain. Yep, install everything EVE includes, later the textures will be overwritten with the Seamless (or Ozmo's) textures, but for testing purposes (you NEED to test each installation before adding the following) you need to install the whole EVE package. Remember to write down in a piece of paper your choice of EVE body options, because you need to know it when installing the HGEC Seamless Equipment and body. I need to go to bed now, I'm under Central Europe Time, so it's two in the morning here. Later will check if you survived the ordeal, which I mostly doubt, but you look a tough guy (your Jeff Bridges avatar is awesome), so perhaps I find you alive and well here. That is, if you can stand Striker's choices in perfumes. Good night! Cheers! -
By the way, Lupis, I know you're here, eating popcorn and watching at our tirades. Good night to you too. Cheers!

IkeCoast replied to WWWEEE's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
Wee, no, for the Seamless Series, you NEED Growlf's Universal Skeleton. All other skeletons, including the one you mention, are outdated. Use the Controlable one, not the Total Controlable one. All the Seamless Edition body meshes are already BBB-ready, so you only need this skeleton, the Seamless Body meshes and the BBB animations. Look, once you have your game cleanly installed, patched, Unofficially Patched, and all, the installation order is: OBSE. Install it manually, don't try to install with NMM or OBMM or Wrye Bash. Manually. Check OBSE is running right: start the game with OBSE enabled, make a save, exit the game, check your Saves folder: if OBSE is working, there will be a duplicate of your las savegame, with the .obse file extension. Blockhead. Like OBSE, install it manually. All OBSE plugins must be installed manually. Check if Blockhead is working properly: Launch the game, load your last savegame, do whatever you want, then save. Exit, go to your Data\OBSE\Plugins, and check if there is a Blockhead.ini file. If it's there, all is well. If it's not there, Blockhead is not working. If there's no Blockhead.dll file in that folder, you did it wrong. Body Replacers (Robert2 Male Body Replacer v5 and Eve HGEC Variants as Striker instructed). The Robert2 Stock Clothing and Armors replacer (it's available as a separate download in the same page as the Body Replacer). EVE already comes with its Stock Clothing and Armor Replacer. Activate their esps (if you installed the omod versions, which I strongly recommend, they are already active by default). Run Archive Invalidation and check both body replacers are working as intended. Oblivion Character Overhaul v2.3. Now comes a tricky part: once OCO is installed, DISABLE the body replacer esps, especially Robert's one. You can try leaving EVE active, but when using it, I also disable it. WARNING: if you installed the omod versions, OBMM will tell you to NOT disable the esps, but instead disable the WHOLE omod. Don't do that, because "disabling" a whole omod means UNINSTALLING it. Simply uncheck the esp and slap OBMM in the back of its head for being so dumb. Leave the omod installed. Remember to put OCO's esp the last on your load order, before the Bashed Patch if you use one (rebuild it if used, forget it if you don't use it) or the very last, after the empty Bashed Patch OBMM creates by default. This is important, OCO must be the last mod in your load order. RUN ARCHIVE INVALIDATION and test all is working fine. Now, SKIP THE OCO V2.3 TEXTURE COMPATIBILITY ADDONS. You won't use them. You wil luse either the Seamless Textures or Ozmo's ones. Then, install first the Seamless Equipments for Robert Males and then HGEC. Body meshes and textures are included there. Be careful to follow the provided instructions. If you don't understand them, ask here before you touch buttons like there was no tomorrow. And as a final touch, install the Seamless heads Nuska's Edition. Test in game. If the body textures look fine for you, then that's all. If you want to continue using Ozmo's textures, install them right now, but ONLY THE BODY TEXTURES. Do not install the face textures, they will ruin OCO. *me takes a deep breath* Cheers! -
By the way, Striker, how many victims has our body count for today? With Wee I count two, three if we take in consideration Blades surprise return. I don't count as "victims" the unsuspecting Staff members and unaware forum casual readers who were caught in the Patchouli Incident. Cheers!

Wee, High-rez textures will work with OCO, but unless you use the Seamless textures provided by Juncakk and Movomo (and also the Seamless body meshes provided by Movomo), you won't get rid of that neck seam, no matter how high res quality are the textures you are using. HOWEVER: Try Ozmo's High-Rez textures with Movomo's Seamless body meshes. Do the following: Install OCO v2.3 (previously, install all its dependencies). DO NOT INSTALL OCO'S HGEC TEXTURE COMPATIBILITY PATCH. Install the Semless Equipment for HGEC. Install the Seamless Heads, Nuska's Edition. It comes with Seamless body textures for HGEC. Check how your HGEC bodies look now. If you like it, skip the next step. Then install Ozmo's textures on top of that. My Abysmer Race have no Seamless textures, but once I switched their bodies from the old meshes to Movomo's Seamless ones, and the heads to Junkacc's Seamless ones, the results were awesome. Most likely, Ozmo's High-Rez textures will also greatly benefit from the seam-mended body and head meshes. Cheers! EDIT: what I mean is, if you use the Seamless Series meshes, but not the Seamless Textures and you use Ozmo's textures instead, the neck seam will still be there, but barely noticeable. Look at Dorma's neck seam in this picture: http://static-3.nexusmods.com/15/mods/101/images/44847-2-1391989456.jpg and now look at her neck here: http://static-4.nexusmods.com/15/mods/101/images/44847-1-1425779819.jpg The textures are exactly the same in both images, but the second one uses Movomo and Jukacc's body and head meshes, and while you can still see the neck seam in the second one, the difference is astonishing. Cheers! -
