  1. ensure you defintely have this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/12631 because that mod is needed to load/show character Presets.
  2. "The game will load if I do not use F4SE, but what the hell is the point of playing vanilla fallout anyway. " 90% of the mods for fallout 4 does not require F4SE, so you wont be playing a vanilla fallout without it, unless your mod list is exclusively F4SE plugins, but since you say you run 200 mods, this is highly unlikely. with that said, what f4se plugins are you currently running ? (it will most likely be an f4se plugin causing the ctd rather then f4se itself)
  3. the gtx 1050 only has 2GB / 3GB Vram (depending on which version you choose), both of which does not have enough Vram to run 4k textures you need atleast 4GB Vram to run 4k textures 4k Texture overhauls will use up to and potentially exceed 8GB Vram (Very Frequently) my game was fully in 4k Textures, and on my Gtx 1070, the game was consistently using the full 8GB Vram (90% of the time) Minimum Vram usage for 4k texture overhauls = 6GB to 8GB Maximum Vram Usage for 4k Texture overhauls = 8GB+ (Much more frequent) 4k Screen resolution will consume much more Vram and is much more demanding then 4k textures. the 1050 will definitely not handle 4k or even 2k screen resolution. (Due to severe lack of Total Vram) For 4k Screen Resolution you will need at least a gtx 1080 here is the target screen resolution each nividia card is designed for: 1050, 1050ti, 1060,= 1080p 1070, 1070 ti = 2k screen resolution @120 hz 1080, 1080ti, titan x pascal = 4k screen resolution @60hz basically higher screen resolution needs much higher Vram (GPU Video Ram) also the CPU Core Speed @2ghz is indeed very low, strongly suggest boosting it to at least 3.5 GHZ
  4. try doing this first, (i noticed you have a low quality texture in your recent image), which might be connected open Fallout4Prefs.ini - and search for iTexMipMapSkip= and set that to 2 - so it looks like this below: iTexMipMapSkip=2 the above fixes the lod issue, where textures appear low quality also, the Optimized Vanilla Textures mod, does this mod use Ba2 Archive files, or are the textures loose files, (or alternatively link me to the mod, and i can check if you dont know) the reason i ask is because if that mod uses loose files, then disabling the esp wont disable the textures, thus meaning they will still be present but yea if the above still dont work then your only option is to disable them all (check to see if it is indeed a mod causing the issue), and enable a few mods at time if it is a mod causing the issue
  5. no probs  i also have my iTexMipMapSkip=2 and works perfectly if these dont fix the issue then it might be mod related so yea let us know if that fixes the issue, if not i will then look at your mods and see if any may cause the issue, more spefically any mods that would compress textures, can cause the low quality texture issue.
  6. you need to create the Fallout4Custom.ini file it is not created by fallout by default, because as the custom would suggest, it is created via user input. as in your custom copy of the fallout 4 prefs and standard fallout 4.ini files in 1 file with that said you need to create it here: C:\Users\your computer name\Documents\My Games\Fallout4 open fallout4.ini delete everything, click on Save As call it Fallout4Custom.ini, then click on Cancel when it says if you want to save the changes to the Fallout4.ini file Now open Fallout4Custom: and add this below [Archive]sResourceDataDirsFinal= bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 now fallout 4 modding is enabled. Happy Modding
  7. 1. Download Enbseries: http://enbdev.com/download_mod_fallout4.htm 2. scroll down that page, click on v0.344 - scroll down the page again, and click on the *Down Arrow* next to Download 3. save it desktop, extract the files. copy the d3d11.dll, d3dcompiler_46e.dll, enblocal.ini and enbseries.ini - to your Fallout 4 root folder (where the fallout 4 launcher is) 4. now inside the fallout 4 root folder, open the enblocal.ini file: [MEMORY]ForceVideoMemorySize=false <-- (Change to True)VideoMemorySizeMb=0 <-- (change this to 4096, if it is not set to that already) 5. File - Save 6. your textures should now be fixed. (the above has a very high chance of working, since doing this i have never seen a single low quality texture... ever) With the above you can also take another step: 1. Go here: C:\Users\your computer name\Documents\My Games\Fallout4 - Open Fallout4Prefs.ini - Search for iTexMipMapSkip= (set this to 2) so it looks like this below: iTexMipMapSkip=2 if that dont work then do: iTexMipMapSkip=-1
  8. i actually prefer the mod list as you posted it, much easier to read  anywho try disabling these mods, and see if the problem persists: Fallout 4 Enhanced Colour Correction - (could be a lighting Conflict) Fr4nnson's Light Tweaks - (could be a lighting Conflict) *Fallout 4 HD Reworked Project* - (Quite a lot of bugs for this mod, ranging from all sorts of problems) *Optimized Vanilla Textures* - (i am thinking this mod may be causing it) Brighter Settlement Lights - (You never know, could also be a lighting conflict) Valius High Resolution Textures - (Could Be A Texture Conflict) Note: the mods with asteriks are the ones i think would have a higher chance of causing this issue, compared to the other mods listed here. i suggest starting with the ones in asteriks first. so basically i reckon the issue is either caused by lighting mods or texture mods.
  9. " but I think the Modern Weapons might be the issue since they use a high resolution and loading that onto every enemy that can use these weapons could cause stuttering I can still use the weapons as standalones but if I just remove the replacer, I think that might work" their might be a slim chance, however their was no enemy that spawns with these weapons in your video, so this mod would not be applicable, at least not until enemy(s) actually spawn with them in proximity to you. not too mention a few high resolution textures (regarding weapon textures) wont have much impact on performance at all (unless these high res textures cause the memory to reach its limit), so say 5 enemies spawned with 5 weapons from modern weapons, it would be minimal impact on performance (with regards to the weapons themselves) i feel like windows 10 is part of the issue here, a lot of issues are usually connected to this version of the OS, simply because of its limitations, especially its System Ram Limits. so yea, is your System Ram locked to 4gb, as some others are reporting, as this would definitely play a role in performance and could very well be the cause or part of the reason for the frame drops . as said you can check this using Msi Afterburner, or Performance monitor (part of windows itself) to check for CPU, GPU and Memory Usage in fallout 4, their is 1 thing the can cause severe frame drops, and that would be anything that breaks the Pre-Combine - Pre-Vis system (basically precombined meshes, which is fallout 4 optimization) but i cant imagine this being case here, simply because if broken pre-combined was true, you would have severe frame drops for as long as you are in the area affected by this. with that said, i believe it to be a Hardware or Software issue, leaning more towards windows 10 being the cause (more strictly, the 4GB System Ram Limit, being the cause), or at least playing a big part in the issue you are experiencing. from what i can tell, your frame rate drops happen when the game is trying to load stuff, memory limits, or simply insufficient memory can play a big role in this, as can insufficient power from the CPU and Or GPU.
  10. a few things to try: 1. Disable Power Saving - Click on Start - Control Panel - Power Options - Click on the *Down Arrow* - And Enable *High Performance Mode* (by clicking on the radial next to it) 2. if you have an Nvidia Card - Right Click on Desktop - Click on *Nvidia Control Panel* - Click on *Manage 3d Settings* - Locate *Power Management Mode* - Change to *Prefer Maximum Performance* If the above doesn't solve the issue then continue reading the spoiler: Continued
  11. list your mods, i can check to see if anything may cause this.
  12. well we can rule out shadow quality, as you have maximum quality shadows. same as Antialising, as you have SSAO Enabled, so the only thing you could try is: bVolumetricLightingEnable=1 (Change to 0) Volumetric lighting/ God rays is not worth it, however if you do want to keep it enabled then you will need to change this setting as well: iVolumetricLightingQuality=3 (Change to 5) - 5 = maximum quality (anything lower then 5 will cause pixelation, again very apparent on character models, and the outlines of where the lighting hits.) could also try disabling ScreenSpaceBokeh (Fallout 4's Depth of Field Setting) it might be possible that this could cause that mess as well so do below: bScreenSpaceBokeh=1 (Change to 0) also ensure you have the right settings, open fallout4launcher, make sure Antialisiang is set to TAA, and in the Advanced settings make sure Ambient Occulision is either set to SSAO, or Ideally HBAO (since you have a decent nvidia card, i would recommend nvidia's own HBAO setting) so basically all of your Fallout 4 prefs should now look like this with the settings changed: bVolumetricLightingEnable=0 bScreenSpaceBokeh=0 or if wanting to keep volumetric lighting/ god rays enabled: iVolumetricLightingQuality=5 bVolumetricLightingEnable=1 bScreenSpaceBokeh=0 Note: try disabling Volumetric Lighting first, or changing the quality to 5, before disabling Depth of field, its a very slim chance that depth of field could cause pixelation, but me personally always disables it, since i hate depth of field, so thats only why i mentioned it, as i do not have such issues, so i am basing my reply based on my own setup.
  13. it is caused by either having low quality shadows, or low quality (or disabled) antialiasing. can also be caused by low quality volumetric lighting, very apparent on characters outside, their will be pixelated mess on the outline of character Models, and also lighting (connected to volumetric lighting) will cause this pixelation, again on character models. both low quality shadows, and volumetric lighting will cause pixelation on character models. and low quality shadows will cause pixelation anywhere that has shadows (most noticeable on outlines, such as in the image you posted). all of the above and below assumes you are referring to that pixelated mess, on top of the bread bin, and behind the green shakers. (if this don't apply, then i cannot see what border you are talking about) so basically all 3 of these below causes that pixelated mess i am referring to Low Quality (or Disabled) Shadows <-- applies to anwhere where shadows are, or should be, basically anything that creates them. Low Quality (Or Disabled) Antialiasing Low Quality Volumetric Lighting/ God Rays (only applicable to character models, and the outline of lighting itself)
  14. are you trying to load multiple master files, if so you need to add this into the *CreationKit.ini* file (located in fallout 4 root folder) [General]bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1 if you attempt to load multiple master files without that above, the ck will crash when attempting to load the second master file (I believe).
  15. how much Vram (Graphics Card Video Memory) is the game using ? (because the game will use this first. if you run out of Vram, then the game will start using more System Ram - as system ram is just that, random access memory, meaning it is only used to temporary store data, which in gaming will be used last, after the Vram has exceeded its limits.) and are we definitely talking about system ram here, and not video ram. 4 gb is pretty ridiculous, as windows already uses 3 - 4gb ram and that is before even running game, so you are only left with 1 gigabyte of ram which is nothing. their is absolutely no reason why fallout 4 should be limiting the ram to 4gb, as you said it is a 64bit program, and as such has a practically unlimited memory support. are you definitely on windows 64bit. because windows would be the thing that implements memory limits, not so much applications. windows 32 bit will implement a 4gb ram limit to all apps. if this is a Vram Limitation then their is a simple but effective solution, however if this is indeed a system ram limitation, then the solution is not quite so simple. are you running windows 10 by any chance ?
  16. looks like some type of shadow corruption (although i dont recall shadows being in the place where you images are taken), as you say lighting it with a flashlight removes it, which would remove shadows where the light is pointing. to see if it is definitely related to shadows is: go here: C:\Users\your computer name\Documents\My Games\Fallout4 open fallout4prefs.ini - scroll down until you find both of these lines: fDirShadowDistance=3000.0000fShadowDistance=3000.0000 and change them both to 0 - so it now looks like this below: fDirShadowDistance=0fShadowDistance=0 this should disable shadows. or at the very least get rid of them where you issue is. if doing the above fixes the issue, then we know it is caused by shadows, if it however does not, then proceed below. are you using an enb or reshade ? if not then the next thing to do would be to disable all mods, with only fallout 4 and its dlc active, see if the problem persists. if it is not caused by shadows, enb or reshade and disabling all mods, then the only other thing i can think of would be hardware related.
  17. enemies are supposed to respawn after 31 in game days, or atleast that was the case on skyrim, i imagine it to also apply to fallout.
  18. ah right i must of read the question wrong, as mentioned above you need to add keywords to both the parent slot aswell as attach points, below teaches you how to do this, here is my ballistic weave tutorial, that will do exactly what you are requesting as well as giving you the added benefit to be able to add ballistic weave support to these armor and clothing "==============================================How to add Ballistic Weave Support to Armors and Clothing, (a tutorial by yours truly)============================================== 1. download F04Edit 2. Open F04Edit - on the Master/Plugin Window, Right Click on Any Mod and Click on *Select None* 3. on the search box type: Female Tactical Armor - now tick the box next to it - then click on ok, and wait for it to finish loading - as indicated by this text on the right pane window ([00:02] Background Loader: finished) 4. now on the Left Pane Window, click on the little *Plus* sign next to *Female Tactical Armor.esp* - then click on the little *Plus* sign next to *Armor* 5. Click on: XXX_Female_Tac_Armor - then scroll down on the *Right Pane Window* until you find "KWDA - Keywords", in this section right click on the blank box next to that word, click on ADD - then Right Click on the "Null Reference - 000000" and Copy And Paste This: *ma_Railroad_ClothingArmor [KYWD:0020DE40]* - (Paste this Keyword without the Asterisks or Hyphen) 6. now thats the first part done, now on to the second part: Scroll further down until you find this: *APPR - Attach Parent Slots* - again right click on the blank box next to this word, and on the "Null Reference - 000000" Copy And Paste This: *ap_Railroad_ClothingArmor "No Weave" [KYWD:0020DE3E]* - (Again Paste this Keyword without the Asterisks or Hyphen) 7. Now close the program, ensure that the box is ticked on Female Tactical Armor.esp, and now you have saved the changes to the mod 8. Success you have now added Ballistic Weave Support to Tactical Armor, do the same steps for the rest of the armor Note: it is easier to do in the Creation Kit, but will take much longer to do, for the same results. as such F04Edit is the way to go especially as it is quicker." Note: i copied the above directly from my other reply to a mod, which was asking how to add ballistic weave (so replace the armor in tutorial, with the armor you wish to edit), but this will also apply to your post, as it allows to now be able to Rename Armor and Clothing as well as granting the ability to Scrap Them (you wont get any materials from scrapping them however, as this requires more steps to achieve)
  19. Try this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/5320 install it - select the ultimate option, once installed place it at the very bottom of the load order. if that mod dont work then you would most likely need to disable precombines, which is just not worth it (disabling that will kill your fps)
  20. it looks like some type of artifact, what are both your CPU and GPU Temperatures when you get these pillers appearing ? and is your GPU overclocked ? i used to get something very similar to this appear in Skyrim back when i used to play it on my old aftermarket overclocked GPU, turns out the clocks were unstable. setting my gpu back to factory default clocks fixed the issue permanently (thats both Core Clock and Memory Clocks)
  21. if your issue is still relevant can you upload a fullsize image of the problem to an image hosting site (such as imgur.com), as it is pretty hard to see a problem on a picture that is only 250 x 219 pixels wide
  22. "Question... Where is the rename items of clothing and armour, located in the Creation Kit or F4Edit, which ever you use". For FO4Edit: 1. Open FO4Edit - on the Master/Plugins Selection window, right click and Select None - Now Locate the Mod in question by either using the Search Box and start typing the name of the mod, or manually scroll to it - click on the Box next to the Mod in question, then click on Ok 2. Now on the Left Pane Window, click on the Little Plus Sign next to the Mod in Question (will be the very last file on the left pane window), then click on the Little Plus Sign next to Armor - then click on the name of the Armor you wish to edit, by simply clicking on it in the Left Pane Window 3 now on the Right Pane Window look for Full Name "Name of the Armor goes here" <-- Right Click on it, then click on Edit, Click Yes to the Box that Popsup, rename it to what wish, then click on Ok if done correctly the name of the Piece of Armor will now be in Bold. once done, close FO4Edit, ensure the box is ticked next to the mod. and then click Ok now when you go in game the piece of Armor will now have the name of what you named it. Note: Armor and Clothing Falls under the Same Category For Creation Kit: its even easier to do, however my tutorial works perfectly above, so theirs no need for me to write another way of doing it in the CK, not too mention it is much quicker to do it in F04Edit
  23. first of all what program is saying that, secondly the mod limit is 255 active ESP/ESM plugins, so if you have 255 mods, and you attempt to install a dlc, then the 1 of them mods will be disabled. however you can re-enable all mods, by going into nexus mod manager, and clicking on the plugins tab - and click on the Green Tick - this will enable all mods.
  24. your welcome any more issues let me know, otherwise happy modding :)
  25. random crashes could be caused by anyhing, such as: incorrect load order, mod conflicts, heavy scripted mod setup (basically having to many scripted mods, or having mods that are poorly scripted) deleting/unistalling scripted mods in an active playthrough (never do this), using enb with other overlays such as msi afterburner, nvidia experience (i forget what that actual program is called), having too many services that may be resource hogging (very likely in windows 10, as it has many more active services then windows 7, which in turn results in less overall resources for gaming) so yea with that in mind, see if your load order is correct, try to elimnate as many active programs as possible while gaming, try not to use many scripted mods, etc etc. the very fist you will want to do is make sure your load order is correct, and make sure you have no mod conflicts. if you want more information on this let me know.
