  1. Pickysaurus's post in tried moving vortex to a new hard-drive - did not go well and wanted a little bit of guidance. was marked as the answer
You probably removed the appdata folder containing all Vortex's metadata. See this help article for the details on which files and folder need to be move when relocating Vortex: https://modding.wiki/en/vortex/users/migrating-to-a-new-pc
  2. Pickysaurus's post in Vortex not downloading mods was marked as the answer
If the downloads don't even start in Vortex (or manually) you should see this page: https://help.nexusmods.com/article/113-troubleshooting-website-issues
  3. Pickysaurus's post in Game location doesn't exist or isn't writeable was marked as the answer
As the error says, it's looking for a file with the name in the error, but you have a folder with that name instead (somehow?). Delete the folder at that path and it should fix the issue.
  4. Pickysaurus's post in Vortex Uninstall key missing was marked as the answer
Reinstalling Vortex will just repair your install of the mod manager, it won't change your mods.
  5. Pickysaurus's post in Some mods just aren't downloading. was marked as the answer
This isn't really related to Vortex (unless you download direct via the browser and not via Vortex). Please see this guide for help: https://help.nexusmods.com/article/92-im-having-download-issues-what-can-i-do
  6. Pickysaurus's post in LSLib Error was marked as the answer
The solution for this issue is documented here:

  7. Pickysaurus's post in Dungeon Siege 1 - extension not loading correctly was marked as the answer
The extension developer needs to fix that. They have put 1.1 which is invalid. They need to change it to 1.1.0
  8. Pickysaurus's post in "vortex.exe" not found was marked as the answer
Try installing it again. It looks like your anti-virus probably deleted the EXE file, so you may need to turn that off or add an exception for Vortex.
  9. Pickysaurus's post in Doom Eternal doesn't appear on the games list was marked as the answer
It seems the community developer who created support for that game has removed or hidden their page. I'll remove it from the supported list now.
  10. Pickysaurus's post in Hogwarts Legacy Not Showing Up in Vortex. was marked as the answer
Hmm, do you have the Hogwarts extension installed twice? Or any other UE games?
  11. Pickysaurus's post in Backing up mods moving to a new drive was marked as the answer
This page from the built in documentation should help https://modding.wiki/en/vortex/users/migrating-to-a-new-pc
  12. Pickysaurus's post in Mod stuck on "installing" (even though its uninstalled) was marked as the answer
Go to "Open" -> "Open Mod Staging Folder" on the toolbar and delete the folder for that mod. Then restart Vortex. If it's stuck like that it usually means you (or something on your PC) violently interrupted an install process - something like pulling the power cable out of the PC while Vortex is installing something.
  13. Pickysaurus's post in Vortex Stuck on Preparing Game for Modding (1.10.8) was marked as the answer
Sounds like you've locked your Skyrim folder behind admin permissions.

  15. Pickysaurus's post in [Stardew Valley] Uploaded collection not including configs was marked as the answer
Replicate does not include new files (I'm fairly sure the documentation says this). You will want to copy all your configs into a new mod in Vortex and then bundle that with the collection.
It's a bit of a pain but it's the best way to ensure they are included.
  16. Pickysaurus's post in Disable "Some mods redundant" Message. was marked as the answer
You can follow the prompt to disable the mods that are not deploying any files and this message will go away.
  17. Pickysaurus's post in Window for 'adding new game' as video shows is not popping up was marked as the answer
Darksiders 3 is not supported by Vortex, so it won't appear in the games list. You'll have to download those mods manually and install them as per the author's instructions.
  18. Pickysaurus's post in New extension fails to install was marked as the answer
It's almost certainly a network error. Possibly caused by security apps on your PC. Restarting Vortex should reset things back to normal.
  19. Pickysaurus's post in Vortex running already was marked as the answer
It sounds like you tried to move Vortex's files while the app was open (which would explain the state you're in).

There is a solution in the pinned comments:

  20. Pickysaurus's post in "Failed to initialize LOOT". Vortex 1.9.12 was marked as the answer
Not sure if you're the same user as I spoke to on Discord, but this is likely a corrupted Fallout4Custom.ini, delete the file and restart Vortex.
  21. Pickysaurus's post in Starfield Constellation V2 Collection was marked as the answer
You should comment on the Collection page for help with this. Here's a link: https://next.nexusmods.com/starfield/collections/npk3lv?tab=comments
  22. Pickysaurus's post in Games won't show up to be managed was marked as the answer
This usually means your PC is blocking Vortex from talking to GitHub. You can manually get game extensions here: https://www.nexusmods.com/site/mods/categories/4/

However, Cyberpunk should always appear, so this implies something is borked in your setup. Go to "Extensions", click "Show bundled" and see if the Cyberpunk one is disabled. If it is, enable it.
  23. Pickysaurus's post in Vortex sending error messages on loading after update was marked as the answer
This appears to be a fault with the Elder Scrolls Online extension.

To get around it you can go to %appdata%\Vortex\Plugins and delete the ESO extension folder.
  24. Pickysaurus's post in Unpublishing or delisting a collection was marked as the answer
You can always unlist your collection. It is not possible to fully remove it.
  25. Pickysaurus's post in Vortex keepstelling me it's looking for a file in Skyrim(masterlist). but it doesn't exsist....help!! was marked as the answer
The master list message usually occurs when something on your PC prevents Vortex from talking to GitHub. Check your firewall/anti-virus settings.
As for the deployment problem. Check the notifications in Vortex for advice on how to fix the issue. I suspect you've got the game and mod staging folder on different hard drives.
