I recently made a manual patch for Deadly Mutilation and Requiem (Well, I followed a tutorial, but it taught me a lot about TES5Edit, since it involved a lot of copy/pasting and such in it)
I have recently fallen in love with requiem, but the one place it lacks a special luster is bandits. They are very meh, and since the world isn't scaled at all, and most bandits are low leveled, you can start over powering them pretty quick. How hard would it be to un-level the bandits added by OBIS?
and as far as perks go, I don't really pay that close of attention to that kind of thing, I do know requiem overhauls a lot of the perks so it's very possible that the perks do need to be edited to match it in fear of handicapping the bandits.
And I don't honestly expecting to much help with any mod making, mods are pretty much "Do it yourself, until you make it amazing then everyone suddenly wants to help" I've yet to make any mod amazing though apparently. lol
My own personal modding has been going slow, and I am looking for more experience, not to mention I like requiem, and a lot of other mods that are not compatible with requiem... yet. SO I just might be able to do it. I have never touched leveled lists before, and I am hoping I can avoid that though, the unleveled world is an important part of Requiem.
-
EDIT2; I now have a Beta of this patch ready. Please let me know if you encounter any errors I made, or things I missed
EDIT;
I have started work on an OBIS Requiem patch. It is almost ready for a test phase.Keep in mind, I'm not really sure what I am doing, but I am pretty decent at using TES5Edit. What this patch basically does is unlevel the bandits, add Requiem Perks to them, change their agro settings to vanilla/requiem, as well as edit the shields added by OBIS to match requiem steal/iron.
I am currently in the process of testing these changes, I am not sure if I did them right, but if my game plays acceptably, I will upload this test esp to the Nexus some time this weekend for feedback!
Original Post
How difficult of a task would it be to change OBIS to work with requiem? Is there anyway someone who knows there stuff about requiem could list off edits that would need to be made for it work together with it? I haven't played with OBIS much, but it seems to me all that would need to be done is to change the values of the the new armor/shields/weapons (I know it at least has lots of shields)
I really feel like this could add a lot to my requiem experience, I love being punished by my game lol Also, considering bandits tend to be one of the easier enemies in requiem, giving thema bit more variety and making them more interesting would keep bandit keeling exciting.

Well, people constantly tell me my mod Alienvision makes everything way to colorful, so maybe that is what you are looking for? lol
IMAGINATOR is a cool tool too, but I stopped using it after it started doing funny things to my save games. It's a LOT more stable and FPS friendly then an ENB though, and you can really do almost anything you want with it.
ApachiiSkyHair can get you some anime looking hair, CBBE adds a very 'anime looking' female body (in my opinion) Other then that just search 'eyes' and 'lips' and such, and find mods that add in eyes and lips that look very anime-esque!
-
Is there a mod to change the color of the crosshair? I have trouble seeing the current grey one against the winter landscapes.
Not that I know of, but I'll see if I can't figure out how to do that right quick, it should be very simple to make it red.
No promises though. lol
EDIT; Actually, turns out that's a bit more complex then I thought it would be. I'll have to take a look at it again later. lol

Your comments were locked ArtMurder - unlocked it for you.
Have to see why it locked in the first place...
I think I checked the wrong check box (or left the wrong one unchecked) when uploading, I was kinda half asleep when I did. D= Thank you very much though, now I won't be getting spammed with PMs Hehe >o>
-
I'm having a very similar problem! I recently uploaded a mod, and now it won't let users add comments to it. The check boxes for the comment section is very confusing and misleading. x_x (that's why i came to this forum, but I figure there's no need to make my own thread)
Here is my mod which is having this problem.
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/48000//?
I've uploaded mods before and didn't have this issue, did they change something or something? All I know is. I have gotten several PMs from people asking questions about this mod and I really would like for this to be in the comments section since they are all basically the same question over and over. x_x

I'm on the look out for two mods. One that makes it so I can make 'caches'. Like, craft/find a bag/chest drop a bag/chest, feel it with stuff, come back later and pick up the bag/chest and the stuff inside it. Obviously it shouldn't respawn.
Another mod I am looking for is something that makes a lot more stuff that should be stealing, stealing. Like, crops, and other various things like the armor/weapons near sky forge. Basically anything that is in a city that someone else should logically own should not be okay to just walk up and take lol
EDIT; also, I'm looking for an ENB that makes metal really shiny, without making fur shiny. I remember finding one like that a while back I really liked, but I can't remember what it was. It actually metal the metal from my armor glimmer in the sunlight.
EDIT2; found a mod that makes stealing crops stealing lol
the point of crops not being counted as stolen is so that the player can "harvest" the crops, then give it back to the land owner so he/she can pay you for your "hard work". but of course, if that's how you feel about the crops i don't blame you. bethesda never really gave us more depth on helping farmers out.
well, like the description of that mod says, if "random freelance agriculture is an import part of your skyrim experience, this mod probably isn't for you." I'm using requiem, and I got enough wheat for FIFTY health potions from one field of wheat, because it makes it so that some alchemy ingredients sometimes drop multiples. not to mention all the cabbage and potatoes I can snag for RND. Realism or taste aside, it's just unbalancing. And random freelance agriculture was something I never did anyways, most of the time if i did sell a ton of cabbages to someone, I had actually found them somewhere else lol I just look at it as the farmers will buy YOUR crops. The only 'job' I ever did in skyrim like that was chopping wood anyways, and that remains intact.
Also, I found a mod for the caches I was talking about. I had to make some edits to the ESP to get it useable, but it works quite well!
-
Well, my character is level 3, so even if the worst happens I won't be that bummed lol. level 3 in requiem took a while though.
So far it seems to be working alright. I haven't really done any people vs people combat though, I generally avoid it.
-
I recently built a new 'ultra hard core' load order around Requiem, and I am highly considering adding Locational Damage to that line up. While I love the way combat feels, I do still feel it happens a little slow for how fastly stamina drains. I have always liked locational damage because it basically makes combat a bit faster, without having much more of an effect on it. And since i play with the cross hair totally removed, the unbalanced "I can aim at NPCs heads but they can't aim at my head" thing is out the window, I do good to hit people period lol
Basically, is there any reason these mods shouldn't work together? do you think I am setting myself up to be creamed? And have you used these two together, and if so what was your experience?. Here I'll give you a look at my load order. It's mostly just requiem, immersive creatures/armors/weapons, frostfall and RND, most of the rest of the mods are aesthetic.

I've managed to track this CTD to; Requiem - SIC Patch.esp
disabling this the game runs perfectly fine.
I'm looking into why this could be causing this, there is no missing master, the load order is exact. I'll poke at it with TES5Edit.
-
Those two links will be very helpful dreamking! I have always loved that TES has intentionally left the lore a little open to interpretation.
I'll also shoot the user matth mentioned a PM here in a bit.

My computer has 16 GBs of memory, so I was under the impression I could set that as high as I want since skyrim can only use like, 4 GBs of that... I've also been using that for months now on other installs with no trouble. I'll try it though. Also, I had cleaned SFO, but I un did it trying to find what is causing the problem. I never got around to un-undoing it.
EDIT: I tried cleaning every mod BOSS suggested as well as my DLC. I also tried changing the ini the way you suggested. Neither worked.
I think something has not installed scripts correctly. I'm really hoping I didn't derp and miss a script folder to a mod. Can anyone tell me a mod or mods that use some of the scripts that it's asking for in the last papyrus log? If it's not a script it's looking for I don't know what it is...
-
This is all I could find:: "As Mundus began to form, it became evident that many of the et'Ada would be required to sacrifice much of their power in order to form the mortal plane.[3] As their aspects began to die off, many of the et'Ada vanished completely.[1] Magnus decided to terminate the project.[3] He fled to Aetherius in the last of Mundus' birth-pains, and his departure tore a hole which became Nirn's sun, itself known as Magnus"
Yes, I very much remember that last passage, but I remember their being more to it then that.
What is the source of this? A specific book or lore page?

So, I recently spent the past two days putting together a new skyrim install based on requiem, because it's a lot harder to make everything compatible with, I put tons of effort into making all my mods compatible, editing some of them a great deal with. Wrye bash shows all mods as compatible. Every single one of them has a green check box beside it, and has a black colored name (except the ESMs which are blue) So there appears to be no clash. The bashed patch is only merging my leveled lists, and I've tried disabling it and it has no effect on my game. Boss also reports no problems, and TES5Edit loads up all my mods properly implying there is no missing master.
This is my first time using wrye bash, and I did edit a mod a great deal in tes5edit, but that mod isn't even active right now, because I need to launch the game and save in game before activating it.
I am pretty sure that the key to this issue is the papyrus log, unfortunately, I know almost nothing about these logs, unless they happen to mention a file that is clearly recognizable as belonged to a certain mod, and they don't really...I googled the one file that shows up at the end of both logs, but the only result I got was for a mod I've never even downloaded, let alone installed to this install of skyrim.
I am quite stumped by this... Any help would be great.

EDIT; I determined that some of the above notices were caused by Frostfall and AFT, based on the first two digits of the L/O. I still get a CTD on the main menu with these two mods disabled.
Here is what papyrus log of that CTD.

I am working on a new mod, it is an extremely different mod from any night sky replacer, (even my own) and is designed to be more 'lore friendly' I remember reading in a lore passage somewhere that the star that nirn circles is in fact a star, but a hole created by Magnus. And the he created Nirn and countless other plane(t)s like it. This mod is designed to be a much more literal interpretation of that.
Anyone who happens to know where I can track down this bit of lore I read, as I would like to 'study' it a bit more.
I have a semi-working version of this mod ready, and I am looking for any number of people to do a test run of it for me. Tell me any visual weirdness you see, test it out with whatever ENBs/sweetFX you have, give me your general opinions on it, take screenshots so I can see what it looks like in different lighting set ups, that kind of thing. I will add all beta testers to my credits, as this will help me tremendously on perfecting this mod! ^-^ I want it perfect before release. PM me your email, and I'll send you an email with the file attached.

If somebody could make a mod that allowed me to order followers to "stop" or "follow" without needing to run up to them, I'd be happy.
So far, I only know of UFO having this feature. (But I don't use UFO for the reasons people already said here)
You can use "nature of the beast 2" it adds all kinds of follower commands you can activate as powers!
-
UFO has a lot of 'neat' feature, but it's super glitchy, finicky, and has lots of weird compatibility problems. AFT works with damn near every other mod out there, does pretty much everything you could want in a follower mod, and I have never experienced any game breaking glitches form it.
UFO on the other hand usually can't go more then 10 hours in game without coming up with some totally game breaking glitch. For example, once I had all my followers get stuck in an invisible bubble... they would walk ten feet in one direction or the other but would not leave the bubble no matter what I did. I had to uninstall UFO to fix it. I've also had followers randomly leave my services, randomly start attacking me from no where, and then totally disappear during fast travel. The only glitch I ever had with AFT was one of my followers just REFUSED to wear clothes for some reason. o_o all I had to do was tell him to leave and re-add him as a follower though.
If you really like the idea of sending followers commands use "Nature of the beast 2" this is a pretty neat mod, though I personally stopped using it do to it being overly complex and adding to many spells (in my opinion) but if you are really serious about having several followers and giving detailed commands to them, and even to different groups and such, it is very handy.
UFO is basically an abandoned MOD, AFT stays up to date. This is the single reason everyone says avoid UFO, because skyrim changes a LOT from update to update, and UFO has not been updated to work with the newest skyrim versions, or the mods updated to work with the new skyrim version. I have had my fingers cross UFO gets picked back up, as I never even got a chance to try it in it's prime. =[ It does look really cool, which is why I gave it several shots.

Personally, clutter is one of the number one reasons I will avoid a house mod. One of the first things I usually do is go through a house and clean up all the clutter and shove it in some random barrel. Sometimes it can look good, but if it cuts down on the FPS at all then it's way to much. You have to remember people are going to stash tons of their own stuff into the house and are going to want to decorate it, at least to some extent on their own, and if it lags before they even put anything in there, then by the time they have it loaded full of loot, will be a nightmare to go in and out of their house...
Generally, a good idea is to go by the vanilla skyrim house clutter. if it has as much clutter as one of those, then it's enough already, some vanilla skyrim houses have to much clutter already in my opinion, lol!

To my understanding most, if not all race mods have 'RacialCompatibility.esm' marked as a master. If you do not have that esm (or a very similarly name esm, like RaceCompatibility.esm) then that is likely your problem.
-
'the best graphics mods' is probably a bit more then you realize. All in all you'd probably need about 50 mods installed to get to the 'best possible' and unless you have an INSANE computer then odds are you will get horrible FPS. Even with a $10,000.00 computer skyrim has built in ceilings you will hit eventually, and create insane lag. I have a very good computer, and I find it's better to pick and choose the graphics mods you like best, while intentionally trying to avoid the 'best quality' ones. Because, a lot of mods are 'unnecessarily good' where they will little dump ten times is much resources into making something like 10% better. Totally un worth it. any texture over 2k is pretty much to big for ti's own good, unless it's a sky, sun, or moon texture, something that will always only appear once, and very very large when it does appear. Some people like to run really high res body textures, but this is a BAD idea if you want to actually play the game. When lots of NPCs show up it lags the game a lot as is, and if they have really high res skin textures, then it lags the game even more. especially considering it will be hidden under armor most of the time anyways!
Some of my suggestions are,
Flora Overhaul + Lush trees + lush grass + overgrown grass (makes skyrims forests look insanely beautiful)
2k textures (looks only about 10% less good then 4k textures, for 1/4th the resources consumption!)
Realistic Water Two (my personal choice in water mods for a balance of amazing beauty and high performance)
Enhanced Lighting and FX (probably the best lighting mod on the sight, it's a little subtle, but that's what makes it great. It's similar to vanilla, just way my appealing to the eye! Also, way more stable then other lighting mods!)
Climates of Tamriel (makes the weather and overworld lighting system of skyrim way prettier, also quite stable and very high performance)
A SweetFX mod. Avoid ENB, because they tend to create glitches and can be very laggy even on amazing rigs. (I personally suggest my mod More Alien Skyrim, which overhauls the night sky, as well as including a great SweetFX preset)
Here is a screenshot of those mods in action.

All the mods should be compatible, with patches. I don't know what 'random thunder' is, but I suggest uninstalling if it just adds lighting or thunder sounds, it as it's likely whats making your lighting mod not work right, and between it, supreme storms, and COT, you will have plenty of lighting and thunder without it! CoT needs a patch for both supreme storms and mintyslighting, as well as sounds of skyrim, all of these patches can be found on the page of their respective mod (all the other mods have CoT patches, I don't believe any patches are placed on CoT's page itself) I also use skyrim flora overhaul, it requires no patch for any of these weather mods! ^_^
Also, real clouds is another mod I suggest avoiding, just because it's not quite 'perfected' yet(like RCRN), and skyrims weath system is very finicky(just like it's lighting system), so it's best to stick to the 'mastered' mods. I personally use Enhanced lighting, CoT, supreme storms, and mintyslighting for my weather/lighting set up (plus the sweetfx from my own mod) and it looks pretty amazing, and I experience no bugs!
here's a screenshot.

SweetFX can be an awesome method of lighting, much like ENB but without the glitchiness or being a resource hog. I personally have a SweetFX mod designed to overhaul the outdoor lighting, as well as the night sky you might want to check out! if you don't like the night sky part, I have detialed instructions in the read me how to only install the SweetFX part of the mod! Since my mod focuses on the night sky, it makes nights very dark, something I personally like that most other mods do not seem to have an option for.
I also HIGHLY suggest using the mod you linked to (enhanced lights and FX) along with Climates of Tamriel! I personally dont suggest using RCRN, it's very glitchy and finicky, and in my opinion is rendered basically obsolete by CoT aesthetic wise anyways! CoT even has multiple levels of darkness for the nights, if you select the darkest and use them with a sweetFX or ENB mod that makes the world dark, you can get some insanely dark nights. ^_^
I use those three mods together for lighting in my game, and it's quite gorgeous, and quite dark during the night time as well! ^_^

Lucky for you, this is a strong suit of mind! lol
How sexy? like dangling it about skyrim?

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/12629//? < If you want something more classy, there's this.
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/35333//? < not sure if you can were this one yourself.
http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/6895//? < also came across this.
Also, try searching 'revealing armor' it's about half and half male and female armors, most of the good male ones are uploaded by aoki and Sundracon! ^_^
There's not very much in the way of 'classy sexy male armor' for skyrim sadly... If that even makes since. lol People need to learn that you can be sexy without dangling your naughty bits about the tundra.
