Yesterday I decided to move from Stable to Testing and I got the very last version installed and no problems at all with my mods, neither for Fallout4 nor for SkyrimSE .... and by the way, my Mod Staging folder is where is supposed to be in relation to where my game has been installed.

Go to Nexus, click on MODS tab ( top ), click on My Download History and compare what you have downloaded in the past with the list that you have in Vortex. Simple like that !!

You can also verify the Integrity of Game Files by going to Steam, right click on Skyrim, choose Properties, Local Files and click on Validate Integrity of game files : … after you do that, go to the Skyrim Icon sitting in your desktop and double-click on it. Choose your graphic settings again and start the game ( vanilla ) via icon on desktop. Run the game till you get out of Helgen, save it and exit. Go back to Vortex and deploy all of your mods. Make sure that if you have a mod (s ) that requires SKSE, you won't get those mods to properly work unless you install SKSE first. If you do not have it installed, I do RECOMMEND to install it before you play your game with mods. Here's the link : http://skse.silverlock.org/ Read the instructions first and give it a shot. It will install directly in your game folder NOT in Vortex. Let us know.

Beth isn't going to do away with free modding. That would be flat out stupid. Free mods are why their games last as long as they do. (people are STILL playing morrowind......) Now, the CS likely won't release with the game, and I fully expect the game to have some interesting bugs upon release. That is why I will wait six months to a year before I buy it. That gives beth time to fix the truly horrendous bugs that they always seem to miss, and give the modders time to fix some of those bugs that beth won't. :smile: I do agree with Aneercool … IMO, Beth will not allow free modding on TESVI at all. The introduction of the CC was not just for the short term answer to their goals but to their long term answers to other goals like this upcoming game. I do believe they will have mods available but only if you either buy them directly from CC or if you are a modder, if you put your mod in their CC, so they will own your right to have them, so this way, they will get a fee for you to use those mods and obviously, they will not be free as they are now from other sites like Nexus. We also need to consider that the game engine probably will be new ( I hope ) and not as easy to mod it as the one they have in place for Skyrim and Fallout4. The graphics and anything related to that new game engine must be super much better than before if they want to really be up to date with new technologies in place ( 4k, etc ). Question is : did they foresee that Skyrim and Fallout series will be fully modded by the community when they created Skyrim ? Could they foresee and foretell that Skyrim will be the game people has played the most in the history of gaming because it was allowed free modding ? I do not know if they had such a futuristic vision or if it was just a matter of luck. But how much money they will be making if instead allowing free modding they turn the wheel and allow it BUT inside their CC package so for us, the players, to use those mods we would have to pay a fee and probably those fees will be staggered like, regular and premium membership. Bottom line, I do not think free modding as we know it, will be allowed, but I hope that I am wrong about this.

And I take it back that I don't see me and you ever seeing eye to eye. I'd be willing to bet we could see eye to eye on a great many things if given the chance :wink: Folks emigrate to the US for "A better life". Referring to the illegals specifically here, they are looking for opportunity..... to be taken care of. Free food, free housing, free education, and whatever money they make, (under the table) they send back to family 'at home'. This is a drain on our resources, that could be better spent helping folks that are here legally, or, heaven forfend, are actually citizens...... We send money to the countries that most of our illegals are coming from, to ostensibly 'help' them, so they will actually stay in their own country. That obviously isn't working. The powers-that-be in those countries live well, and get rich of amercian aid dollars. You know, american tax dollars from the folks that actually work for a living. (or, simply money the government produces out of thin air.......) So, effectively, all we are doing is enriching a very few at the top of the power ladder in those countries, while the citizens of those countries are still living in abject poverty. Quite frankly, closing the border, and telling them all "no", is a viable option here. As is cutting off those aid dollars. (since they aren't helping the folks they were intended for anyway.) We also need to get rid of birthright citizenship. We are the ONLY country that does that. Go into ANY other country illegally, have your baby, and you will ALL be deported, as soon as you are discovered. if not imprisoned. And no. It is NOT our job to 'fix' other countries problems. If you like them so much, again, open your own house and provide food and shelter, medication and other things they may need. Mexico has a big problem : their Government is a piece of s***, thieves that only care about becoming millionaires and forget about the rest of the population so that is why, in a country full of natural resources like oil, they are still a very poor country ( go there if you do not believe me ), so why in the hell we should open the border to let them in to US ? They should fix their own problem, otherwise, the Government will continue stealing while the population will continue to starving and they will find a way out : cross the border and go inside US and by the way, they do not give a s*** about US, our laws, our flag, our Anthem, etc, etc, they do not even want to learn English. This is ridiculous and that is why Mexican women come here pregnant ( they know the law and use it in their favor ), have their babies, get a lot of money from the IRS when reporting taxes and get the Citizenship in a few years. Nice. To those who are in favor of letting the border opened, soon, in a few years the Hispanic population in this country will be majority. Be prepared to face them when they try to put a President in the oval office. If that is what you want, go for. Take a look at Finland, which has been rated the best country to live in the world. They do not allow immigrants and the government takes care of its own citizens in the way that US, will never do which it is a shame. And other countries as Finland are : Denmark, Norway, etc.... a government number one mission is to have their citizens very well provided. Free health, free education, good and stable jobs, security, stability and excellent retirement benefits. Can we match that ? No, and the more people we allow to come here, the more chances we will never have to get closer to any of these citizen benefits that again, any government should provide to their citizens as parents provide to their children.

Have you dedicated some time to read the Knowledge Base or procedures in this very forum ? Have you dedicated some time to search for threads related to this and several other issues related to Vortex misused by new players ? Why did you move your game out of ProgramFiles(x86) ? You did not need to do that at all. Do not believe everything you read in Google or YouTube. The great majority of players have theirs games installed in its default path / directory and there are no issues reported. I am one of them. Never had any and so far so good. If for any reason you want to leave your game installed outside ProgramFiles(x86)\Steam\Steamapps\Common, just make sure that your Mod Staging Vortex folder is NOT installed in the same path where you game is installed. For instance, the default is this ( by the majority of users ) : Game are installed on ------------ C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\Steam\SteamApps\Common\<your game> Vortex ( by default ) installs in ---- C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\ As you can see, they are in the same DRIVE : C:\ .... but NOT in the same path ..... games are on ProgramFiles(x86) and Vortex is on Users\ ..... keep this in mine if you want to leave your game outside its default installation, otherwise, if both are in the same path, everything will be upside down and you won't be able to fix it. Have you tried to download a few mods first ( 10-15 ) and monkey around with them to learn Vortex or have you made the same mistake others have done to download / install all of their mods and then they do not know what to do to handle such amount of mods in Vortex ? In relation to your dirty DLC files, Vortex has nothing to do with that at all and yet, there are several very knowledgable Vortex users stating that this is no necessary to clean anymore but if you insist, use SSEDIT to clean your DLC in the normal way always has been done. Because LOOT is built into Vortex, it is telling you ( advising to you ) there are some dirty files but that is not a bug in Vortex, on the contrary, it is letting you know and you need to make your own decision if you proceed to clean them up or not. Again, use SSEDIT to do so. I would recommend to completely uninstall Vortex. Put your game back in ProgramFiles(x86), reinstall Vortex and LET VORETX TO CHOOSE ITS OWN DEFAULT PATH INSTALLATION. The only folder that you will created is your Mod Folder which I installed in my Documents. READ HOW TO INSTALL VORTEX and make sure to follow those steps one by one. This is super essential because one mistake here and everything will be upside down for you. Once you re-install Vortex, setup Vortex properly. Go to SETTINGS / INTERFACE and have : - Under Advanced : a- Enable Advanced Mode = ON b = Enable Profile Management = ON - Under Automation : a - Deploy Mods when Enabled = ON Go to SETTINGS / VORTEX tab : - Multi-User Mode = Per-user - Update = Stable Go to SETTINGS / MODS tab : - Make sure your STAGING folder is located in the path : C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Roaming\Vortex\<your game>\mods - Make sure that Deployment Method is : Hadlink Deployment Go to SETTINGS / DOWNLOAD tab : - Make sure that you TURN ON ---- HANDLE ( beside where it says MOD MANAGER DOWNLOAD ) - Here you will see where the path where your Download Folder is located at ( mine is ) : C:\Users\<my name>\Documents\VORTEX DOWNLOADS ( this is the name I gave to my folder ) Go to the PLUGINS section of Vortex and make sure that AUTOSORT ENABLED is ON ( locked position ) so all of your plugins will sort automatically and do yourself a favor : DO NOT USE LOOT ( outside Vortex ) to sort your plugins. By turning this function to ON ( Autosort ), Vortex will sort your plugins automatically so there is no need to use LOOT at all. Another thing that you need to do : Trust Vortex by heart. If you doubt it and you start doing things in the way that you believe they should be done, you will get in trouble. Once you Autosort is Enabled, you DO NOT have to worry about sorting your plugins at all. The only thing that you will do when downloading / installing your mods, is to resolve your mod conflicts in the MODS section of Vortex. Read how to do this and have a happy modding / gaming. Why were you trying to drag / drop your plugins ? Haven't you read the Knowledge Base built into Vortex or haven't you read any thread related to that issue here in this forum ? Why are you trying to do things in Vortex that are not necessary anymore and only applied to NMM ? If you want to learn Vortex and if you are intended to use it as your only Mod Manager, you're going have to completely divorce from NMM and totally forget what you did before in relation to your plugins and do all the mod conflicts and plugin sorting, the way Vortex does it. If you insist doing it your own way, then you are going to have a very bad day with Vortex, not because the program does not work, but because of you trying to force Vortex to do things in a different way. You have to understand that you DO NOT have to change anything in Vortex. In your Mod Section the only thing you need to do is to resolve mod conflicts if they appear ( Vortex will prompt you by showing a red bolt to the mod is conflicting with other(s) ). Then in your Plugin Section, the only thing you need to do is to turn on the AUTOSORT function and Vortex will sort your plugins automatically. If so, forget about the Plugins and focus on resolving your Mod Conflicts if any and that's it. You do not have to worry anymore about drag / drop and even though that is possible with Vortex, I would not recommend to do it. Learn Vortex first, learn the basics and once you feel very familiar and comfortable, you can explore that, but I am pretty sure that you would not do it once you see that Vortex is doing things right and much better than if you decide to drag and drop. Go read the Knowledge Base and I recommend to search and read all threads related to what you are asking. You will find very important information not only about that but to other things that will help you to understand the whole picture. Obviously, if you belong to the group of people that not read at all, then you are negating to yourself how to learn this new program. Don't read = ignorance ! Read = knowledge. It is up to you !!

Modding my games has never been so easy and because I do not use too many mods in my game, perhaps I only resolve 2-3 mod conflicts at the most and be ready to play without worrying about ordering my plugins. Back with NMM it was tedious and very complex. One mistake, and I had to re-do the whole thing again. Vortex is like driving an automatic car, turn the engine on, shift to D and start driving.

@ OP .... this is a forum for Vortex not for any game out there. Why don't you post your question in the game forum related to ? Did you read the mods descriptions / installation for every single mod that you are listing in your post ? Apparently not, because there is all the information that you need but if you need some extra help, did you ask your question in the mod post ? There are a lot of users that most likely asked your same question before, so the answer that you are looking for should be there. Last but not the least, with Vortex is does not matter which mod you download first. If there are conflicts between the mods that you installed, Vortex will prompt you to resolve such conflicts and be done with it. Again, if you want to follow the old school downloading / installing rules, go ahead but ask that question in the proper forum and you will get your answer. I have the CBBE, XP32 and the Body Slide in my game and I have no issues at all.

Well, on my Skyrim I have a total modlist of 570 mods merged down to 248 currently active plugins (post bash). I've had Fallout running stable on MO2 with over 800 mods (again, several categories merged down to reduce plugin count) for several 100-400 hour playthroughs. Handling anything like that, particularly when some plugins are updated and merges need to be remade, would be a complete nightmare in Vortex. In MO2 it's really easy to change everything between playthroughs, organizing mods is a breeze and you can have dozens of seperate profiles without any problems whatsoever. Well, then, it sounds like you just need stick with MO2 and enjoy your games. Meanwhile those of us Vortex users who have no problems managing large and complex modlists for Fallout 4 or Skyrim SE or whatever will continue to enjoy our games. In other words, you (generally, the people on here) defend (sometimes overhaughtily, I might add) the software as the best there is, and flatly refuse to improve upon it? I have nothing against Vortex. As I said, there's a lot of features in it I do like. But vehemently refusing to acknowledge the downsides is pretty subpar. Though, I suppose, probably right up Bethesda's alley :wink: I want Vortex to be great, which is why I'm voicing my opinion in this thread, about managing the load order. What I've mentioned is the primary reason that so many still use MO2, instead of Vortex. If you can show me a simple way of reorganizing a load order between playthroughs without having to click each and every single plugin seperately, I'm all for it. But as far as I know, the "load before/after" tool is the only way to do it. You want Vortex to be great because you believe in your mind that your opinion is great, that is exactly what you believe and nothing else. Well, if you are so great, shoot your great idea and convince Tannin. You are not the first one and probably not the last one to come up with those non-sense-I-have-a-better-idea requesting something without anything solid that can really convince him so he can implement your out-of-this-world-idea. You don't seriously think those bullet points are going to aid a "Discussion" do you ? It is pretty much the equivalent of building a wall (of words) or line in the sand that is not to be crossed. And it is only from a mere 70 years ago , that is then stated as if was carved in a couple rocks back in 1500 BCE . Entering anywhere, house, company or country without the expressed, required and legal permission, is considered illegal and when somebody enters a country without the required legal permission, that person automatically loose his/her rights; by such, that person can be put in jail, deported and even killed if the authorities considered necessary and nobody can criticize that at all. That is why I used the sample of home privacy. You have your house and you would never allow anybody to enter your house without your permission, otherwise, the intruder is exposing himself/herself, to be shot right there if the owner of the house consider that intrusion a life threating situation to himself or his / her family. Nieto left the presidency and now he is a multi-billionaire while the population without a job, have no option to come to US. I agree with you NCSCNL in relation to respect the President and do not get me wrong, I do like him, especially because he is not afraid of saying straightforward what he think about this or that. Out there, the great majority of people are very hypocrite, they give you a laugh but they are stabbing you once you turn around. I do prefer blunt people, because they do not hide anything and are more sincere and honest than those considered themselves, "respectful" about others. A mexican pregnant woman cross the border, give birth without paying a cent and now her child is automatically, a citizen of US and a few years later, she becomes also and her entire family. In other countries, probably in the majority, if a woman gives birth to her child while she is in that country ( and not illegally by the way because they watch their borders much better than US ), her child will have the choice to request the citizenship once the child turns to 21 years of age and he/she and only he/she, will be granted the citizenship based on the fact that he/she was born in that country. He/she would have to make the formal petition at the Embassy of that country located in his/her natal country. But here, the policy is completely crazy. Also, how come they live here, they work without having a legal Social Security and they decide not to learn english at all because they know that the government, organizations and companies, will provide an interpreter to translate for them in case they need to. They enter to US and they are not treated like animals, despite some cases where the policy has shown extra force that has been legally taken care of, they are not treated like animals. But Mexicans, if you did not know, treat like real animals other Hispanic people from other countries that are trying to cross Mexico to come to US. They rape the women, they kill men otherwise, they obligate them to join the cartel or die, they traffic with children to allow minor prostitution, they use them to trafficking drugs, they kidnap them and ask thousands of dollars to their families back in those countries and we know that if they are crossing, is because they are poor but they are so stupid asking to a poor family to pay 250 thousand dollars to free their family members. Yes. go to Mexico and see it for yourself. You do not believe me ? Ask thousand of people from Central America what they had to do to cross Mexico to US and ask them to tell you their personal story so you will find out. The way Mexicans treat their own race from other countries, is not even close to the way they are treated in this country. They do not deserve my respect at all ! Eveybody must understand that if somebody enter your house without your permission, that person is violating your property and that person is potentially, a threat to your familiy and you, as the house owner, have all the authority and the law on your side to even kill that person if that person does not go away as soon as you ask that person to leave your premises. As Mexicans are allowed to don't let anybody to cross their country unless you pay thousands, they should not be allowed to cross the border unless they followed the legal channels and were accepted as Permanent Residents of US back at the Embassy of US located in Mexico. Period. The same principle apply to the country. The President and the Government are like the father of a Nation and they must protect our "house". Any person who enter to the country without the legal permission from the Government, is potentially a threat to the house and should be asked to leave, deported, put in prison in the meantime and by no means at all, should that person left to live in the country. Try to go to China or Rusia and try to enter to any of those countries without the express and legal permission of those governments and you will see what will happen. And whatever is happening here in US is not democracy, but the contrary, it is anarchy 100%. And I will go beyond this. Anytime a mexican enter US, that person start to work and send money ( dollars ) to his/her family in Mexico. The dollar that enters to Mexico is a currency that comes to enhance the economy of that country while the President of Mexico, being the president of an oil producer and with excellent natural and rich resources, only guarantee jobs for his family members and very closed friends. He does not give a damn about the majority of the poor population of his country because he knows that he should not worry because they will cross the border, enter to US freely and send money back to their families so he does not have to either worry about the families that stay inside Mexico. As you can see, the same thing happen with the dictator Daniel Ortega in Nicaragua. The population are fleeing to Costa Rica looking for a better life and Daniel Ortega, the only thing he needs to do, is to create a bad environment in the nation, imprison those contrary to him and obligate them to flee to the south neighboor. Basically he is "cleaning" the country and leaving in there only his family and very close friends in charge of the entire economy, with the best job position in the Nation while those who are outside Nicaragua, are working and sending money to their family members inside Nicaragua so again, the same thing is happening in Mexico. Basically, by allowing mexicans and people from Central America to cross the border as they do, the US government is allowing dictators to do whatever they want in their countries, getting richers, keeping only families and closed friends in the best job positions while the majority, are a problem to be solved by US. If the US government closes the border, we will force the population of those countries to take their problem in their own hands and if necessary do a revolution to replace those stupid criminals from Mexico to Nicaragua. US should not interfere with whatever is happening in those countries but at the same time, US should not allow anybody from any country to enter here without a legal passage and that way the problem will be resolved. But that is not the case. We continue watching these dictators to get millionaires and we continue allowing people from those countries to come here while those who already live in US and have paid their dues to have a better health insurance and better benefits overall, continues to struggling to live here because the more population we got, the most difficult for the country to manage it. It is like a regular family, the more children you have in your home, the more you have to work to provide to all of them what they need. Yes, you can call me whatever you want but this is the true and Mr. President Trump has been the only president that has propossed the solution, to close the border and I do agree 100% with him. I would have deployed the army already, kill 50 and be done with it. Once you show your teeth, the rest will think twice to cross the border. And those who are in favor to let them cross the border based on "false democracy", I am going to ask you this : > show me that you love them by allowing a full mexican family to live inside your house and give them shelter, food, beds, water and also let them share those rooms and beds with your own children. The mere Pope is asking the entire world to open their borders to allow immigrants to live in those countries but he does not open the Vatican doors to give shelter to the immigrants. Hipocresy ! However I know that behind the problem with the border are other things to be considered, Drugs, weapon trafficking, human organs trafficking, minor prostitutes, etc, etc. and most likely, there are several congressman and senators who are really the "underground cartel" of this country so they are against to close the border because by doing that, they will not continue getting richers. If you believe they are not corrupted, you are mistaken and remember not eveything that shines is gold. And another conclusion, Mr. Trump will not be able to change anything. Behind him there is a government full of millionaires who really are corrupted by money and they will never give up what they have allowed so far. You can put in the presidency of this country whoever you like, man or woman, and nobody will have us to have : a free health insurance, a free education as other countries less powerful than US already have in place. It is a shame. Canada has much better health insurance and retirement plan than US. Even England have a much better health system than us. And for our shame, Cuba has much better health system than US. I can bet my head that no new president, will change all this mess. For our shame, any president from any country has more power in their own countries, than the power that Mr. Trump has in this country and it is not because of democracy but because there is a government behind him allowing all this mess. Unfortunately, Mr. Trump has not been able to change that but only because he is trying, and only because he had the guts to tell them face to face what they are, is that he has my support.

You would not dare to go to Kuwait and walk freely in those streets because even though Kuwait people ( apparently ) are not doing anything against anybody, that does not means they will forget what was done to their country. I am not using 4 mods that depended on that framework mod, among them, Raider WIP and Super Mutant Redux. I loved these two mods but because you have to have the other for these two to work, then I decided to delete them from my game. ( Nothing in this life is forever anyway and there is always an alternate path. ) But, there is always a way around and some mod authors believe that their mods are infalible. Using XEdit I was able to make my Raiders and Super Mutants tougher than any mod can offer. It took me some time to go over the list and make them super tough but it was worth it and that way, I was able to make my game more immersive and have more control over my gameplay. I will never give up Vortex for one mod that does not do anything but making my game very unstable. Endorsement has been removed forever for his arrogance and his belief that we cannot play our game without his freaking mod. Wrong !

when you say prominent mod authors (plural), who, exactly do you mean? name names and see if you can do it without the expletives. consider it a challenge. I have found only one prominent mod author advising everybody not to use Vortex and HadToRegister already expressed very well why he is doing that. I found his reasons very unprofessional and anti-ethical and I am not using his mod at all in my game and my game is running like a charm. Not everything that shine is gold !!!!

That's actually exactly why I have cleaned some mods. Nothing in my current list, but it's happened in the past. My only issues with Vortex at the moment are two fold: auto-sort - is this on by default or was it my mistake to turn it on. This sorts mods, but not in the same order as LOOT. That mean that everytime I cycled between the two my mods got shuffled. I have a couple of mods that very much depended on keeping themselves in the same place in the load order as they were in when you first started that playthrough... and they were acting very weird on me until I realized this. If this is a default on option, I'd change it to default 'off', or... 'off' if the person links Loot into the list of apps you can connect to Vortex. I've yet to track down the cause of this one, I have theories but not certainty. It seems every so often when I installed and enable a new mod, the esp is NOT enabled. Sometimes it's connected to whether or not I ran LOOT right after adding it (as in disabled until I run LOOT), but I think this is not always the case. Whatever is behind this... if we can track it down, it'd be nice to get fixed. Otherwise Vortex in it's current state is actually pretty good. The people who INSIST on using LOOT and the built in LOOT in Vortex are going to spend their time chasing their tail, rather than playing, because they get their load orders set up with Loot in Vortex, then for some unknown reason, decide to screw up what they've just gotten working, by Running LOOT standalone so it conflicts with what they already have working in Vortex. There's no helping those people because they insist on doing this, rather than just getting rid of Standalone Loot. + 1 ….. why should I worry about using LOOT outside Vortex when LOOT inside Vortex is doing the job automatically for me ? I do not find any reason. We have been advising to let the auto-sort ON so you can completely forget about sorting your plugins and concentrate exclusively on resolving you rmod conflicts ( if any ). But this is a free world. You want to continue using LOOT outside Vortex ? Fine, no problem about that … but do yourself a favor, do not use both, otherwise, I am asking you and please answer : what is your purpose ?

I would like you to give us more information about "install wrong the mods" ? What do you see when checking for mod updates ? What made impossible the launch of some games ? I already replied to your message and showed you the way I do my updates and Vortex is not giving me any trouble. On my end, everything is working easy-peasy.

I can help you with the mod update issue and here we go : 1 - Click on the mod you want to update and Vortex will show what you see in the screen ( you want to check if there is an update available for the mod ) : 2 - Go to Nexus mod ( in this case Palace and Castle ) and check for the new version as shown in the below screen shot ( a new version is showing 2.2 ). Make sure that you read the new mod version log to find out if there is something that MAY conflict with other mods that you have in your load order so we never know if the mod author changed something, so it is a good practice to read and make sure everything is fine to go : 3 - Download the new file version as shown in the below screen shot : 4 After the file is downloaded, go ahead and Install the new file in Vortex : 5 - After the file has been installed, go ahead and Enable the new file ( assuming that you have Auto-Enabled ON in Settings / Interface, Vortex will deploy your mod automatically after enabling the file ) : 6 - Now the 2 files are in Vortex and because you have two equal files, Vortex is showing a red bolt ( conflict ). You can see the 2 mods are there. Version 2.1 and version 2.2. The old version must be REMOVED : 6a - On the top right corner, Vortex will show this message as well ( redundant files because you have two equal files so one of them must be removed ) : 7 - Click on the old file REMOVE tab and the below screen will show up. On this screen is essential that you check DELETE ARCHIVE as well, otherwise, old data from the old version will remain and will probably mess up with the new file version : The new file has been downloaded / installed / Enabled and Deployed. The old one is gone. DISCLAIMER : Something may not working properly with updating mods or probably with the new Vortex version something was changed. Before I was able to right click on the mod that I wanted to update and click on download new version ( from Vortex ) and Vortex will download the file automatically ( did not have to go to the mod file located in Nexus ). This time, Vortex did not allow me to do that. A message saying that : you must choose the new file to download …. was showing when trying to update directly from Vortex, which is fine and give us more control on what we need to update. It is not a big of a deal since I do prefer to go to the mod in Nexus, read the new log and be sure that everything is OK with the new file version before updating.

You have the choice to either turn on the Auto-Sort function to allow Vortex to auto-sort your plugins automatically, or to turn off that function and run LOOT outside Vortex … however, you will mess up with your load order if you have such function turned ON in Vortex and sort your load order via LOOT outside Vortex at the same time. In relation to "tweak your .ini files, this must be done in the Prefs.ini ( under [Launcher] bEnableFileSelection=1 ) and in the Custom.ini file ( [Archive] bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 and sResourceDataDirsFinal= ) so you are able to mod your game and I am pretty sure that you are familiar with this, otherwise you would not be modding your game.
