  1. Its defiantly not ASLAL Also been using it for years. Only issues I have are/would be load order related during a test/setup when I forget to shunt ASLAL down in my load order.
  2. I had similar problems I fixed it by removing HDT mods that apply HDT physics to armour's on a global scale. (Armour replacers and such) My CPU just cannot handle that kind of stress.
  3. FPS needs capping at 60 or bad things happen with the physics engine. With a 980ti you have the power to spare. Re-enable it. How are you managing your memory? Through SKSE (memory blocks) or via Crashfixes? Cal at DirtyWeaselMedia has a great video on Crashfixes I will link for you. Gopher has a great video on setting up memory management through skse. I will also link for you You can use either method to manage memory and if you have both setup it should not cause any issues. I run Crashfixes and while my game isn't as smooth as it could be I don't have the raw power with my PC that you do with yours. Hope it helps. Hope it works and good luck.
  4. I seem to remember having the same issue few years ago (not skyrim related) but it was through Steam. I don't recall if I managed to fix it as not long after my PSU exploded and took out the motherboard. (Also not steam related).
  5. Apocalypse is a fantastic mod. If you want to still use it. Check nexus for apocalypse patches. I know Ordinator has its own Apocalypse compatibility patch.
  6. yea I seen this with crashfixes running when I tried to run Skyrim without any (modded) memory management of any kind to see what it would do. SO to fix it you need to either use crashfixes memory management or assign a memory blocks allocation via skse.ini whichever method you are using. Test either or both and try UseOSAllocators=0 or 1 in your crashfixplugin.ini As for not using an ENB its actually needed to allow either memory management method to work. Delete any traces of an ENB via your mod manager if need be. You will find them in steam/steamapps/common/Skyrim. Just delete them then follow instructions to the letter on installing an ENB. Binaries 1st then an ENB pre set. Follow the pre set mod author's recommendations. If you have a method of monitoring ram and vram usage do so. UseOsAllocators = 0 To run Skyrim you will have to use SKSE memory heap allocation and an ENB/enboost UseOsAllocators = 1 You don't need too use SKSE memory heap allocation. Wont hurt anything if you still have memory blocks active in your SKSE.ini. This explains it better than I could. Hope I helped and I didn't confuse you too much Blighty and gibberish are the only two lingo's this gringo speaks. I'm quite sure your gibberish is better than my French ya?
  7. Not sure if its the same issue but every time I start up Skyrim I have to click a mouse button, any will do and the mouse starts doing its thing. In my case its most likely a side effect of 150+ mods one of which is Onetweak that allows me to force window borderless and provides me a small increase in stability.
  8. Crash fixes helped me stabilize my game from a bug perspective. Wont run oldrim without it. (Actually I ...cant run oldrim without it.) :P
  9. If by some freaky accident you do manage to kill your Skyrim/data folder you can quickly re verify the games integrity through steam. Check the mods in question are actually downloading to MO's downloads folder. If they are in your downloads folder you can add a mod from an archive by clicking on the 'install a new mod from archive' button. (should not need to unless its a mod you archived yourself or downloaded manually with another mod management tool). Take a look at the right pane. Select ''downloads'' tab same mods should be shown here. If you see nothing try click on hide/unhide button. Don't want too sound mean................ but Mod Organizer requires you to install the mod and activate it. Its not a fully automatic process.
  10. LOL few thousand mods, yesterday after years of trying to keep the game running I jumped in an purchased some more ram. Did it help? Hell yea why didn't I think of that earlier. Now watching crimson running in the background an seeing the ram spikes I understand why It was crashing lol SSE is smooth as silk too. Now sadly I got oldrim running as butter smooth as I can I cant be bothered doing it all again for SSE and Vortex  I need to play the damn game
  11. If you plan on not going mental in next few days download and set this up. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69787 Its a set of well researched INI files in a tool manager that will allow you to turn on V-sync. Watch the tutorial its very useful. Very good tool to have. If you don't want to install Bethini open up Skyrim preference's and set up V-Sync from there. As for limiting FPS many ways of doing it. EnBoost will allow you to limit the fps without V-Sync switched off. On Amd cards you can limit it artificially not sure about 1070's but the FPS defiantly needs capping at 60 or bad physics things will happen and introduce some game breaking bugs. Usleep is highly recommended patch. If you don't have the other DLC's download and install unofficial Skyrim Patch. Also highly recommend you install TES5 Edit and watch this on how to clean your master's files. Even if Unofficial Skyrim patch is the only mod you ever use cleaning the master files will create a higher level of game stability especially later on.
  12. In response to post #57603581. #57605851, #57608151, #57608681, #57609106, #57609156 are all replies on the same post. Importing from MO now.
  13. Could be windows yes. What video card do you have? Has it had a driver update recently?
  14. I think AFT will probably be best. Good eyes btw Leonardo :P
  15. The back ground loader manages to finish. Which tells me you can try a skyrim start up. Expect it to crash though. Questions. Did you run FNIS for users after installing your animations? Did you run Body slide and create and generate a body for Body slide? You may also need a body CBBE or UNP along with a (Skeleton) XP32SME. The skeleton will work for both body types its also needed for the fella's from SoS but you need to pick a body type and then pick through all your armour mods and make sure you have the right armour for the right body. Them armor mods require the UNP or CBBE body (only one) and the corresponding armour file. IE CBBE body with CBBE armour. Or just deactivate Emfy and any other armours that require a certain skeleton. Then Set up a body/skeleton. Again this can get complicated quickly so watch some or as many tutorials on the web. Get it wrong your game will crash, You'll have mismatching textures and or meshes. It can get messy fast. in Summary Realistic ragdolls and force <--install XP32 skeleton Install it but pick options for a certain body type UNP based or CBBE based. As you have body slide already installed, pick options for it. You may need to reinstall this and check its installing for the right body this program does both. CBBE or UNP Install either depending on the skeleton you just installed. I think fastest way to get you into game is to deactivate them armour mods that come with HDT physics and that bashed patch. Now test Skyrim. IF you can get into the game and stay in game do a stress test. See if it crashes. Ok after further inspection I can see 4 mods that Have these requirements. 85 55 Merta Black Rose Armor.esp 86 56 HentaiSuccubusArmor.esp 87 57 NewVampChainsCuirass.esp ?? not sure about that oneEmfy. Might be more of em you'll have too check. If it runs then do the body install (watch tutorials) then install/reactivate the armours. Run body slide and then FNIS for users. It should all be back together and working. As for its stability I cant say. Most of your load order is alien to me I'm afraid. As for that bashed patch, until you know you have some semblance of stability. Go into skyrim/Data and delete it. Its one of the last things you do an only do if you know you need it. Only if the game will require it. Having a bad bashed patch will kill Skyrim pretty fast lol. Good luck hope it works
  16. Yea it winds me up sometimes too. Then the AI pulls out off some awesome, out of thin air. Like 1st meeting with the Greybeards the other day. Was a hell of a storm outside. Went to learn Whirlwind sprint and just as we exited the door out in the yard one of the other Grey beards shouted clear skies. I've never seen that in over 5 years of playing and modding the game it floored me. Don't know if it was a feature of a mod I never seen before or not. As for fast travel bugs that's a good one too look out for. But generally speaking I walk or ride everywhere. Its one I'd have missed.
  17. Step one is lots of research you found the man of moment with Gophers tutorials. I'd also take a peek at GamerPoets YouTube channel along with Dirtyweasel media. All 3 of these guys have some exceptional help and guides. One thing I did notice is you have one of the official texture packs selected and the other two are not. Most likely have some serious conflicts If you went on a modding spree. As you use NMM a good way to quickly check what has errors in them is to load up your entire load order with Tes 5Edit. If it finds an error it will stop the background loader and tell you what the error is. It wont tell you how to fix it. But most of the time it will be a load order issue. Move offending mod where it needs to be. When you can get to the end of the load order without it stopping you are on the right tracks. You may need to do this many times. You might not. Loot is great but its far from perfect Example error [00:08] Background Loader: [RealisticWaterTwo.esp] Processing completed [00:08] Background Loader: Fatal: <Exception: "RealisticWaterTwo - Legendary.esp" requires master "RealisticWaterTwo.esp" to be loaded before it.> [00:11] Background Loader: finished I created that error just for this post by moving one mod up or down in my load order in MO then I ran xEdit to provide you with this example Then I would load up the entire load order select all the mods in that load order up until the unofficial patch. (never mess with that one it will break mods that rely on it). As for a definitive guide as to how to fix that specific load order I don't think one could be written sadly. Way too many variables. I'll link you to some wizardry called BethINI https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69787 it sets up INI files for Skyrim. The mod page also has a link to a YouTube tutorial that explains how to use it. How to set it up. You may also want to switch to a tool called Mod Organizer. At the moment its the modders choice when it comes to Skyrim because it allows you to visually see what is conflicting with what. It also never writes anything to Skyrim folder so you can just delete the lot and run vanilla Skyrim if you wanted to  I may not have been much help but you need to use your own judgment, maybe some mods need to be removed completely. You could use feed back from Tes5 Edit as a guide. Best advice though, you will hate. I'd deactivate all of the mods then delete my Skyrim data folder then head to steam and re verify skyrim and get it back to a vanilla state then run Skyrim once i'd clean the masters as shown in Gophers tutorial then start reactivating the mods in a more logical order. I'd also test a lot along the way. Its very time consuming. You may also need to download and install 'crash fixes' an make sure you test its working. An MO tutorial can be found in Dirtyweaselmedia's 2016 modding guide. Test along the way. Remember Skyrim is awesome modded. Start off easy with unofficial patches. Then anything marked as an ESM. Then SKSE (watch Gopher's guide) then i'd run UI stuff like skyui maps and anything else in your load order. Armor mods all together, weapon mods all together. NPC' mods you will need to use the mod pages as a guide along with things like Body slide. Texture mods generally don't come with an ESP so install order is not so important but it actually is unless you want missing texture's. You'll also need an ENB and (depending on your pc) a pre-set so you can run the memory hacks although Crash fixes can work around it. Then using logic id re activate the rest of the mods and use LOOT along the way. At the bottom or rather last id then install FNIS and any mods dependent on it. Then run generate FNIS for users. See the mod page and watch setup tutorials Your game is running a very heavy load order. At Skyrim start up the game has a lot going on as scripts fire for 1st time and the game starts in the cart. This can be a major problem with starting the game. Even perfectly stable modded games can crash. Download and install ''Alternate Start live another life'' which allows you to start in a prison and create your character. It then starts all the mods up. The benefit in this means the stress on the game engine is lower. Then if you wish you can actually do a vanilla start. Also great for testing along the way. You can make a vanilla character and test it out as a base line. Without the need to constantly go through the vanilla start every time you want to test a mod is working. If you can get a stable game learn to stress test it with everything running at increased speed. Convenient horses (horse mod) comes with a built in script latency test. Its worth running the mod just for that feature alone. It can give you a good indication as to how the game will run. High script latency is bad news. Good luck, take your time. Learn what the mods are doing to the game. Don't be afraid to experiment but follow mod author's advice. Use Loot, Test test test.
  18. Check for errors in TES 5 edit if you have it. If not take a peek here https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25859 on Nexus. Then head to Gopher's YouTube channel and watch his tutorial on cleaning master files. Then watch GamerPoets tutorials on the same subject. Some of them are older than others. All the information is pertinent so take your time. Soak in lots of info. Then install Tes5 Edit the way that is more suitable to the mod manager you are using. Download and install Bethini --->https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69787 but before you install it watch the tutorial linked in the description. While it does directly reference Skyrim Special Edition Bethini works for all Bethesda's game's. Hope it helped. If you already know this I'll allow you too shoot me :P As for your crashes, It could be any number of things from a badly set INI file to Skyrim running into memory management issues. Bad ENB, bad load order. Or last but not least Alduin himself has been corrupted by Molag Bal and your PC/laptop has demons inside it. To exorcize them demons take a peek here http://sotrealms.enjin.com/optimization while the article is written with a specific mod in mind it points to good modding practices and helped me a lot.
  19. Try reinstall all your FNIS mods. It may also be a bad install of a skeleton. Check the animation mods one at a time.
  20. Yea I'm not going to worry about it. On a lighter note Charles, I think you'll love TPOS, I certainly am on my other profile. Pitty TPOS and Nexus conflict that could have turned out to be the cheapest ESP setup with the greatest game impact in the history of Skyrim lol
  21. If its Size does matter, will that affect a bashed patch created for Nexus Skyrim overhaul. The mod is included. Not sure if it been fixed before he added it. I'm running that in my load order with a bashed patch (Which created and ran the game fine).
  22. Only time you should now run Skyrim launcher, is after (should you need to) delete your ini files. That would be just to re establish default INI files. Never try run the game with it, fruitless exercise. On the subject of INI files install and run Bethini. You can find it here on Nexus You may also want to watch the attached video in the mod description. Id stay away from the on board IGP an stick with the 1060, While it most likely isn't a full blown 1060 you'd find in a desktop it should be fine. Now make sure you install and USE LOOT. That will sort out your plugin's into the correct order within reason, Its not perfect but its better than taking a knife to gunfight... You can also find that here on Nexus. As you now know who Gopher is.. Take a peek at his Tutorial on running Tes 5 Edit. Again you can find it on the Nexus. Then learn how to clean your master files. If you don't you will come unstuck down the road. If you already know these things my apologies In advance. https://loot.github.io/ <---Loot https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25859 <--xEdit https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69787<--BethINI Good luck, happy modding an don't upset them Nords they gots big axes
  23. It wont run through the launcher and you should never try run SKSE powered Skyrim through the launcher. Either let a mod manager handle Skyrim start up or create an SKSE icon and place that on your desktop. Gopher explains it better than I can. Hope it helps
  24. Hiya buddy, have a question, the answer of which may solve your problem. When setting up FiSS and Skytweak did you create a new 'default profile'? Is that new profile for Skytweak the same one your loading in your 'good' non crashy game or the one your lad is loading in his bad very crashy games? See where this is going? I have actually been having some inexplicable crashes for potentially same reason. For months I've been using a FiSS preset I created last September as a test when my INI files where not quite setup. Heck I don't even remember if at that point i'd installed Beth.ini. Then like a monkey I've been adding them same FiSS preset's back into the on all my profiles, so all my testing and tweaking an messing around may have been in vain. As you have a good working game it may be prudent to make a FiSS preset for skytweak from your game. Then try it on your' lads game an make sure he don't mess with it. 225 perk points at level 1 would have tempted me as a young'un   Its worth a try and even if I'm wrong and it wasn't the problem its something to remember for the future that setup is fantastic, very powerful and gives you a huge amount of absolute control. But it can also kill the game. So be really carful. As for Vanilla starts, because I use ASLAL I make sure everything is setup in that prison cell. All my MCM's then make a new save before I talk to the statue. I also test the vanilla start to make sure it works. To me its a great indicator as to the game's stability. I've seen the start so many times I can tell if its all going to plan or not. Then when I get into a safe room with Hadvar or Ralof I exit the game and then start the game for real after a full system reboot.
  25. Have you tried moving Bijin mods as an entire package lower down your load order so nothing overwrites them? Put TKAA.esp and its dependencies below Bijin AIO.esp I had same issue not long ago with a very complex npc setup including Ultimate NPC overhaul 2, Bijin mods some other mods I forget the names of a TES5Merged file overwriting something along with a bashed patch. Only way I could fix it was to put all my NPC altering mods into a block and move them in MO so Ult NPC overhaul 2 and Bijin along with TKAA are loading late. Not seen it happen since. Now it goes something like this. ESM's rest of my mods NPC mod 1 NPC mod 2 Bijin mods TKAA TKAA dependencies 160 mods running. Actually I just looked an I may need to resort em again but I tried hiding texture files in MO I checked them in xEdit my only fix was an ESP move. Make sure you mirror that load order in left and right pain. BTW It bugged me for 3 or 4 days. xEdit pointed the way. Good luck hope it helped
