All NPCs have blackface bug, what can I do?
TheWilloughbian replied to Astrocyte's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
You might need to manually remove the facegendata files. Both textures and meshes. \actors\character\facegendata\facegeom(for meshes)facetint (for textures) then whatever folder contains the bad. Just be careful and make backups. Failing that, there is always this. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4697/ But, that's a last resort. But it will at least save you from having to reinstall the whole game. Like I said, unless its something you can get nowhere else. Avoid modding from BethNet. Same with Steam. To big a chance they will just mess up your game. Auto updates and the like..... Well keep trying. I'll help you out as best I can. If it comes down to it you can just uninstall all your mods and start over. If your careful you may even salvage your save games. There's a tutorial an how to turn your character into a preset. Google it. it's not hard to find. Do the console command and backup the file it generates. That way you can at least get your toon back in the character gen. -

Alright, my dude. First thing, were gonna try a little test. With Dawnguard installed you shouldn't even need that Humanoind Vamps mod, as DG makes it so PC Vamps don't have the split face IRC. So, open up NMM, go to the plugins tab, find that mod and untick the box thereby disabling the ESP. Then load up the game and see what you get. I think you'll find that everything will be fine. So, try out the little test and get back to me. Also, the in game mod system isn't really the way to go. It's clunky and gives you no control. Shop around on the Nexus first and see if the mod you want is there. You are running a fairly heavily modded game and really should be using a mod manager. Some people like NMM some like MO. With the way your game is modded, you might want to look into MO. I have never tried it, so I can't really advise you there. -

My guess is Humanoid Vampires is conflicting with USSEP. You need to load the mods up in SSEedit to check. I'm not sure what other mods you have make edits to races. -
I'm trying to find a good dungeon. I don't really want some epic quest mod, just a good dungeon to delve. I have looked around and haven't really found anything that fits the bill. Any suggestions.

Run LOOT and see if that helps. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/1918/ Also get SSEedit. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/164 -

You'll need to post your load order. Did you try LOOT? -

There was an update today. Same address. -
Glad you got it sorted. Don't feel silly for manually moving data files. In fact it's a good idea to know how to do it and be familiar with the file structure. I install most of my texture mods manually, so I can pick and choose the ones I want. There's no harm in having a look inside those zip files to see what's there before you install the mod. That's how you learn how they are put together. Everyone who likes a heavily modded game should know how to mod at least a little. That way you can trouble shoot easier.

It can be adjusted. You can move the node in Nifskope. But, what looks good with one armor may not with another.
-
Well, it looks like it may be a simms mesh. Here "meshes\dungeons\mines\clutter". The Planks behind the barrel are called "minewoodplanks04.nif". Look for "textures\smim\dungeons\mines\smim_wood_mine_planks.dds". You may need to manually drop the simms textures in place.
-
You might need to open up the CK to track that one down. Load the cell in question and find out what meshes are having texture issues. Track down the mesh in the data folder. You might need to crack open a BSA or two, but hopefully not. Open the mesh in question in Nifskope and find out what texture is missing. Chances are it will be in "dungeons" folder, or maybe "clutter". I'll boot up the CK real quick and see if I can help you out.

I get CDT when using some of the body sliders in ECE. They work with Males fine, but with Females, the game just locks up and I have to do a hard shut down. I think it may have something to do with the TRI files. I had no problems with the first release of ECE, the crashes started after I updated everything to the latest version. I haven't played around with swapping out files to see it I can fix it. As for RW2. Sometimes when another mod edits an area with water it will conflict and the water bugs. Usually adjusting the load order will fix it. However, I have run into a few mods where I can play with the load order all I want and nothing will change. Had that issue with this mod. https://rd.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/13351 Great mod, just conflicts with RW2 at the Solitude docks. I tend to avoid mods that make big changes to exterior cells for this reason. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

Try moving that last mod above RW2 in your load order. As for the skin textures, maybe try some different texture mods. I like Fair Skin Completion. https://rd.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51602

I have been playing around with it and it seems to work fairly well. Be ready to learn on your own, though , as the dudes over on LL that know about it are rather tight lipped and any questions are met with a near hostile responses. I found this helpful.... https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3800385-a-guide-to-hdt-smp-usersmodders/ -
I found that starting with the "right" preset makes a lot difference. Get the basic shape of the face and then start to play with the features. I spent a whole night just working on a nose. As far as an easier way... The more you do it the easier it will be. It's more a matter of getting familiar with controls. Try to enjoy the process and the rest will come. It's kind of an art form, much like any other kind of sculpting. Just keep working it until you find what you like. I don't know, maybe someone else can chime in with some advice for you without being so philosophical about it.
-
Patience and determination...... I spent a week working on my toons face when ece came out. Just keep playing with it until you get what you want. People who make face presets to upload, spend a long time building them.

SSE I need help making an NPC Guard an area
TheWilloughbian replied to kvatchcount's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
There's a few things you have to set up. AI package, patrol or idle marker and linking up the references (NPC to the marker). I haven't done it in a while, so I really don't remember well enough to explain it. The CK tutorials would do a better job than I could. -

Your CPU looks fine. I'm saying your power supply might be what's holding your system back. You might need 750 watts. 550 watts might be a little under powered for the hardware you have.
