Backed!
Really excited about this, and looking forward to testing the beta!

9 hours, £8.000 : Can it be done?! Yes it can!
-
You are not allowed to receive money for a mod. Donations is fine, because then people are giving you money, not giving you money for your mod. But kickstarter is not donating - it is investing, which is not allowed for Bethesda mods.
-
But are you really telling us that Bioware doesn't have enough money to release toolsets? :P
-
And just a quick thing to those uncertain about donating a bit of money because you don't know if they will reach their campaign goal: you won't be charged for your pledges if they don't!

@Shrutesh
2. No dev no matter how big can have more ideas than thousands of modders, how many mod ideas have made their way into TES? Heck Heathfire as far as I'm concerned was copied from a mod!Good point, but the example is not true. ;)

I've currently backed Project Eternity, Maia and Star Citizen.
And just now, I also backed Sui Generis, with a bit higher backing than the others, since it struggles with reaching the goal. So everyone, give that project some of your money - it could be anything, even $1!

Before anything else, if this topic is in the wrong sub-forum, please move it.Hello everybody, this is my first intromission in this forum, and I have no idea if this problem was aborded in a previous thread. If it was, I'm sorry, but I have a kind of a dilemma and I don't know where else ask it xD.
Here's the situation: I play in a downloaded version of Skyrim (like many of Skyrim players), and have downloaded all the updates too. I also have downloaded many mods through this website, and I've been enjoying almost all of them, but I'm likely having problems with those mods focused on adding new houses, followers and NPCs. None of them work.
Now, to the point that titles my thread: with my brother we're thinking of buying Skyrim for PC, in order to boost it's gameplay to it's maximun with it's mods and DLCs without having concern of troubleshooting. We haven't made the decision yet, but if in case of a positive outcome (which is the most probable case, considering how fans we are of the game xD), I do not want to have my characters and save files lost, assuming that an original Skyrim must be installed overwriting the archives of the downloaded one (if there're any mistakes in my reasoning, please tell me).
Considering this, is there a way to "rescue" my saved game files, so that in the eventuallity of playing in a original Skyrim, I'd be able to resume playing it with my characters? Or I'll have to refuse to make them again and start from zero?
Thanks for your time guys, I bid you farewell.

Nov. 21, 2012: Glad to see this blog piece, it got me to finally read the entire ToS (after spending some time tracking it down... I think it's on the move;))
Link to the ToS is on the top-right of every page of the Forums... :whistling:
To his defense, it is rather hard to spot when you don't know it is there. ;)

We do not tolerate piracy, and users who do pirate are immediately banned. Your new account also breaks another of our rules, circumventing a ban by creating another account.
Therefore, this account has been banned as well.
Topic closed.

Yoshimitsu966 banned.
Reason for the ban
Piracy of Skyrim and ban circumvention.
So i live in the far North of Sweden (Actually i heard someone say our town was once in the Guinness book of world records for smallest town) in an apartment with my mom. I was recently banned for admitting piracy in a post where i asked for help with the mod-loader and the extraordinary mod "SkyRe". I hit me with surprise that i'm not allowed to try their game without paying 700kr (The swedish currency) since they're probably one of the most successful devs out there.
Either way i'm not here to cry about it i just wondered what your view on Piracy is? Is it ok to download a game? If so is it only ok if you buy it after?
Imo Bethesda got a too large cake (made of money) for Skyrim since it was so many unbalanced and simply ridiculous things within (Talking about things like sucky races, Overpowered sneaking and cutting down weapon sorts for the mainstream audience) though i downloaded it because i simply can not afford it.
P.s. i'd be terribly disappointed if i was banned for this post too. that would just be mean.

Where did you obtain the game?

a mix of Heroes and Civilization... Where have you been all my life?!

Any action taken on someone's account is private information. Any information regarding someones account is no one elses business, be that whether the account is banned or has strikes against it or is in good standing. That information should only be available to the site staff, not the general public.
Nothing 'silly' about it.
We never share information that is not already available to the public - only freely available information will ever be shared, and only if it has any relevance to the matter at hand. All private information is still private, and only available to the user in question and the site staff.
What they have done is freely available to anyone who does any digging - just look at their posting history. So this is not private information.
If they are banned at all is stated in their profile (as it should be). So this is also not private information.
Profile information that is not hidden is freely available to anyone who visits your profile. So this is not private information.
Private messages is what it is; private. This information will (EDIT) only be shared in rare occurrences.
Hidden profile information remains hidden, and is not revealed to the public in any way.
IP addresses are private, and will not be shared by the staff.
There might be exceptions to this in rare cases if we deem it necessary to share certain information, but again, only in rare cases. IP addresses will still never be shared.
