  2. Boston is draw call hungry. I still havent figured where the bleed is on my end but I have a spot down there that calls 40,000 draw calls. Frames go down around 28 i think was the min for me. Its not preclac being off either. But yeah anyway Boston is a hole
  3. By the way folks, vkz89q has joined on to help author the mod! He has quite a bit of knowledge about the game and many great ideas, we hope to start getting some real work done in the near future. So be sure to give kudos and thanks to him as well!
  4. Sure, they are good points. Mostly thought the ambush system is more of an opportunistic system than a hunting one. So for example I place a bunch of spawn markers in places where enemies could be residing, like a building. When player walks into area, at a distance of 1 cell away or so I set this marker to spawn a random group, likely a small group, that then rushes the player from the moment they spawn. This simulates enemies having spotted you from a vantage point you can't see, and coming after you at the right moment. Although I like the idea of having those story factions chase you down. I had some similar ideas but not quite that. We'll have a chat about it over the weekend and see if we like it enough.
  5. It cannot be helpful to the community at large, only helpful to business and maybe modders who will make small profits. Should never have tried to monetize what was and is a great community of hobbyists. I detest it. Whether it will tear community apart or not, well we've already theorised over this in the other thread, just have to wait and see. I would love to see another 3 million strong petition delivered to them again though :D

  7. Spend some time to learn and get comfortable with FO4Edit, it is a life saving tool. Without it I would never have been able to merge and modify my load orders easily :)

I have ENB installed for the fake light fix only I believe, never had any luck with ENBoost, did try to use it for the occasional LOD bugs (full detail not loading) on certain highway textures and the limestone textures from the quarry, but it makes the problem worse. Big help to FPS in this game is to drop shadow distance or use shadow boost. GodRays are a bit heavy too seems you have to run them at ultra to stop the blocky-ness problem. Edit - I remember Boris was talking about something to do with the way F4 works with L2/L3 cache, perhaps F4 will benefit from Intels new approach with the new X series processors.
  9. Can't say I've seen many mods that use these items from AWKCR, Custom Combat Armor comes to mind though. I believe they have a plugin now that hides these categories on the AWKCR page.
  10. Please use spoiler tag to post Load order. Put [spoiler ] and [/spoiler ] at start and end of load order (*without spaces on last ] ) If you believe that the CTD is possibly caused by a loot item, it could mean that you haven't installed a required mesh properly, or some object is getting overwritten badly (mod conflict). With a load order so big and much mods you would very much need to look into learning how to use FO4Edit to iron out any soft conflicts and look for any major incompatibilities not mentioned by mod authors who may not have known.
  11. DEF UI + Valdacils Sorting WITH tags. Bit of fiddling to get it to work right, just make sure to pay extra attention to the instructions.

  13. Thats really bad. Given Ticonderoga is close by, try my Occ box disabling mod, see if that helps with the Vertibird, just out of curiousity.
  14. I've had a pretty good look through the INI settings, the hidden ones in the EXE, nothing there that seems related and the few things I picked out do nothing. Hopefully someone gets around to decoding the shader fxp file with hex and finds a way to override it
  15. Dont know if it applies to you but some new reshade use MXAO, which is very pretty but can be costly.
  16. I can't say I've seen much benefit to Fallout 4 after moving it to its own M2 card (960 Evo.). I'm still curious as to why the game like to hover 4GB of VRAM, like it will load up to 5-5.5GB in load screens then purge down to 3.5-4 GB every time. Have not seen any statistics on the 8GB and 11GB cards though.
  17. I played the game so much I started making a mod which now has over 6000 lines of code. Undecided on the game, but I should definitely quit smoking :D
  18. Thanks for the replies. I won't need to make them conditional, only the fragment looks at the properties to get and set them. Anything else is passed parameters through a primary function stored on the quest :)

  21. @JoseCuervo - You're off your head. You think Beantown is easy to create? Then lets see you go and put in the effort to make all those cell edits in CK on that scale. Lets see you do uphill battle with the precalc system. Lets see you lose your mind after not too long of working in the CKs poxy render window. No way do I have the patience for that crap. Its a bloody effort. If its so damn easy lets here your detailed explanation of why it is Beantown affects performance and how you would solve it. Lets here your opinion on Umbra and how its adverse implementation should be handled in the way of compatibilty and modder friendliness, and how we can trim precombined meshes for better generations. Lets hear an easy answer for that because we'd all love one.
  22. Well, I don't mean to dampen your spirits but LOOT does you no favors there. Lot of stuff could do with better ordering. In saying that it probably mostly works given you only have 100 odd esps.
  23. The mod I'm building certainly ain't easy. But I don't build my mod because of fame or fortunes, I build my mod as a contribution to the community which provides me with all the other fantastic content that makes my gaming experience so much nicer. I don't want donations or payment, just more quality mods from like minded individuals. Mind you I do not blame any one who is tempted by the $$$, life is hard and expensive. But I would not want to see my contents making millions for some corporate conglomerate while I just manage to pay off my car or less. To put it bluntly I look at this CC like I do GUNetwork (minus pirated stuff there), only a new level of low.
