Try running it as administrator. If you right click on the shortcut item and select properties from the drop down menu, then under the comparibility tab tou check the box for "run this program as administrator" and you should just be able to click into as normal from there on in.

Load order is far from great, but otherwise can you post a papyrus log? Might show where it hung.

Apart from maybe using console setstage tactic to advance the quest and just giving your self the gold, you might look at tesvedit and see if that quest is being modified by something although i cant see anything on your load order that would.

Did you manually delete the inis? If they are set to read only it usually crashes the launcher, but you want them set to read only so they dont get reset if you hand customize them. Otherwise tried revalidate in Steam?

There is an age old glitch in the engine where not every light illuminates the surface it should but can suddenly light it up if you change angles a little. Not to mention only 4 lights can cast shadows on scene at any time. Its not just limited to torches either but you notice it more.

You might try clearing your cache/deleting your history and if it still persists maybe the mod author blocked you from the page?

Well there has been a number of reports of the game glitching out around the thieves guild quests. You might look up some posts on it and see if any of the info is useful to you

Mmm i wonder if localization files cause this. Temporarily disable the custom patch and AV patch and try to start. If it works then will have to think of a workaround. If it still dont work then post papyrus log

That load order is much much better, the bottom half is fantastic although some mods at the top you might find want to go lower but you will find these easier yourself in tesvedit, if any. Now all you need to do is start hand making yourself a patch. Once you learn that youll be enjoying a very stable game.

I think this is just a great example of how Skyrim can just break. I guess in future all we can do is notice the problem and start to think about going back some save games and addressing it before it goes out of control. Like i say we love the game, but the game does not love you back ;)

Well AA can cause water issues in ENB if you have any other AA turned other than what ENB has in it (so you dont use anything but ENB AA). Usually it would tell you in bug red writing on load up that hardware AA is on and ENB has disabled effects. I mentioned ENB119 because you can have hardware AA if you want which can make the pucture very smooth, but now i remember it the water can still glitch out anyway. It seems to me you might have a problem with your driver if you have to restart the pc every play, hard to tell because i cant see the pc ;)

You can open swapjobaliasscr.psc in notepad and see if there are any notes about what mod its from. Though if it is not in the scripts/source folder inside akyrim data folder than it is inside a bsa file

Its possible, you might try a new game. But i doubt this. I was just playing the game, it was storming for 3 and half days. Soent much time inside ruins because timescale for me is only 6 ;) I am sitting down to finish yours off now. I end up busy yesterday and i got about 3 PMs for help so i will do this first. Edit - Okay here is the files. For the load order file you can copy this into *Users*/Appdata/local/skyrim - Users means your account name folder. If you cannot see this folder in there it is because it is hidden. You need to go to folder options and set "show hidden folders". Look at youtube guide if not sure. On PC, you can set the fbartermin and fbartermax values, this is usually a big part of any mod that alters stores/trade/vendors. These values can change the game prices dramatically and also make it so speech has little to do with trade price. These are the values to fiddle with if you wanna make it easy or harder to buy and sell. Just for the sake ppl finding this on google, while this undead thread is still a little warm from its reincarnation ;)

Well, i havent been playing with SoT turned on, but none of the other mods do anything about this that i can see (OBIS, TTRSO, USKPs, SIC, MoMod, RWS, Skytest, Wintermyst, InconNPCs, AFT to name a fair few). I think my followers slow down too, from memory. I remember having to jump in for one of them because they couldnt get to the enemy (pretty sure it was Vorstag)

Much better off invrsting on mini itx pc with a 23 or 24 inch screen. Might cost you a couple hundred more, but youll get 100% more power. Try not to buy any of these hybrid gpu jobs, ie the one that intel and amd/nvidia gfx cards. They bring about more problems then not. CPU will neck before gpu if yhe gpu is good enough.

Where i live, it can storm for 2 weeks straight, ad it is starting to now actually :). Theres no weather problem, thats just luck of the dtaw i guess. You could learn the Clear Skies shout. Dont need the UHDFFX for the patch, the patch is only small anyway, with your load order its fine. I just have to get back to the pc and test your save. The error must come from one of the true giants or armored skeleton, cant see why in the plugins, so hopefully the one i generated might do it because it might have something wrong on your end which is probably not obvious unfortunately. Wirh SFO you ahould ask the author Vurt what he thinks about thise mods. See he changed the tree models all the time so it might broke compatibility.

If i were you and the laptop is definitely going to be playing skyrim, youd want the best combo of cpu and graphics with a ssd. The better rsolution and 5th gen cpu is what you want

I havent spent much gime on them either, but on the first game i put 20 ot 30 hours into. I own them all, just dont really enjoy the playstyle as much as my Bethesda rpgs. I havent played any mass effect at all tbh, ill give your post a read tomorrow and maybe ill check out some of the gameplay videos on it. I think i have a copy of ME3 with the key still intact somewhere here too.
