  1. Seems with Win10 every setup has different results with it, from what I've read with users so far anyway. My Creation Kit install has gone haywire since 10, keeps coming up with something new everyday. That setting causes me to crash every 30 minutes or so. Didn't give me any noticeable performance anyway. I've just been trying 4K play with ENB, crap frames to be sure, but I can pound 11.3GB between GPU and RAM for the game XD
  2. Try using the coc command perhaps? Like coc Riverwood
  3. I got in the s#*! in Riverwood with all the citizens (but not guards) for killing a farmer on his way to join the Imperials (scums) while Riverwood was occupied by the Stormcloaks. Left town for a few days and they stopped being hostile, but boy were they a grumpy bunch. They are lucky that it's easy to make a save and reload in games, otherwise they would have been permanently dead ;)
  4. You can do only so much in NifSkope i find but if the flap is sort of an "attachment" to the model as a whole, you should be able to remove it i think. I am it an expert on modelling bu i have used NifSkope to remove sections of weapons in Fallout New Vegas.
  5. Im not using AV atm so i thought it might of had an esp file it used generically. I do find it bizarre you cant activate the creatures at all now though given its just a retex mod in reality. Guess ill go load up my AV packages and see if i can reproduce it. EDIT - Ah thats right it's a Skyproc job. Well I fired it up and and it works fine, even with all the mods there is nothing I can find that I can't loot. Just wanted to be sure but have you followed the install procedure to the T? cos there is a few things that can go wrong. Link for conveniece Otherwise upload me your AV esp file that should be at the bottom of your load order.
  6. Please use a spolier tag next time. I cant see that screenie you posted, but this kinda like a creepypasta feom what your saying. Have you tried console clicking on them to see what id they show?
  7. Itd take a 5 million MIP capable single core (well we want a cpu with 4 of those) to get a perfect 60 fps with decent enough distant detail and objects. In ENB, open the ENB menu in game. Expand profiler and go to a heavy area. Have a look at the number of draw calls and triangle count. Itll start dropping off fps after a certain number. Watxh what happens when you turn around in said heavy area. Also the sudden approaxh if a high triangle area causes such spikes. All you can do is optimize for your hardware and balance effects for modicrum. Even my 4.65ghz 3960x has spikes, ive just got them to play out smoothly. You can see a major bottleneck in cpu playing at 4k. I can up mine to 4k and get 35fps mostly but lots of spikes, and i see that cpu usage has gone down to just 20% because the first thread is overloaded. Piss poor decisions by Bethesda have us this mess. Well im sure they had their reasons....
  8. Oh lol of course. I dont mind some fun reading every now and again, but i have to much of a technical mind frame atm, completely went over my head.
  9. Yeah it takes some dedication unfortunately. Anyhow you can try to remove USKP and clean your savegame with save cleaner mod, but even then your save mught become fudged down the road. But that could take 1000 hours to happen. As a rule of thumb, never use autosaves or quicksaves, they break the game not only faster, but in general (well at least the risk is much much higher)
  10. Well seems your gpu dropped some frames and/or was waiting for them from cpu. The cpu graph doesnt fluctuate much because these cpus have so many cofes although in at least one instance it rose a bit before a drop. A lot of the gpu drops indicate loading screens also. Most of your spikes would have been when the red line was highest. Its evident your game is loading enough into the memory of your hdd that it isnt causing much activity there as i thought. The only way you might combat this is to buy a better cpu which unfortunately is only Intel right now, but even then you still have to balance it out. The more objects in a scene, the more rendering and processing of things like texture info the cpu needs to do. When im back at my pc i will copy some multi threading tweaks here for you, but they dont a whole lot so dont expect any miracles.
  11. I'd say like Erandur the dark elf. Hes kinda sounds Aussie.
  12. There is a way to test it by just looking at disk activity in task manager/resource monitor, just keep it open while you play and if you get a spike quickly save and exit and being it up. Although the better way would be to use Skyrim Performance Monitor really. Id say youd be getting a bit of both cpu lag and hdd lag as tou plod along, if you replaced your hdd with an ssd youd still get some spikes due to the limited renderer of directx9 which unfortunately is Skyrims single biggest shortcoming (and all other bethesda games). If fo4 is dx9 then its likely you wont see me posting anything anymore....
  13. What you do is press the tilde ~ and make sure you're facing the way of the objects you want to click. The console pauses the game, then you just click on any object and it should give you a number, what your looking for is the first two digits, if they are anything other than 00 or ff than this indicates which mod or dlc with the corresponding numbers in the first two positions. This number changes when a mod has moved position in the load order so youll always know which mod it belongs to. The way the numbers work is from 0-9 then a-f. So for example, 08, 09, 0A, 0B, then after 0f will go to 10, 11 etc. Now its best to click on referenced objects such as barrels, houses etc rather than just the static landscape because the game merges all the sort of stuff into its own block which is usually ff (the final, 256th block). So if you click on a placed objext and it comes up say 1Exxxxxx that means whichever mod in spot 1E is the cause/mod that edits this area. Keep clicking on objects around the area until you find something from a custom slot. Also note that when you click something twice, the number disappears, but should just change if you click something different. Ive written this in detail so other users might stumble across it and understand it better too.
  14. Sooo whats the deal here?¿? You making a quest or something?
  15. There are a few things that cause this, most of which can only be resolved by better hardware but even then its somewhat inevitable. If you are running of an SSD youll probably find its not "loading" problems, but you will always get this from your cpu. Skyrim is severely bottlenecked by cpu. 8350 isnt that great but the high clocks will help. Best you can do is read every optimization guide and try to get as close to the best of both worlds as possible, by that i mean performance vs visuals. I can tell you the 970 should be ample for the graphics side, but i would be willing to put money down that tour cpu is spiking because of the bottlenecked renderer.
  16. Lolololol why is there a directx 11 file involved. I guess theres a reason but lol thats funny. My Win10 hasnt broke yet.
  17. Defintely seems to be a lot of fiddling for a product that should work. Well without the thing in front of me theres not a whole great deal more i can you with sorry. I got rid of my last gaming laptop in 2012, even then it hadnt been used since early 11.
  18. Maybe try setting primary gpu back to Intels in NvCP and applying, the open again and set it back to the 860. Might update your registry again. Shame you didnt keep a backup of your inis, you could just dropped them in again. In future, backup both inis AND the renderinfo.txt. For now, well you have more patience than me, i would have rma the thing and told em right where to stick their hybrid business
  19. Oblivion was worse IMO. I also detest LOOT, the load orders ive seen.... BOSS used to be better. Good advice all round anyway, i just came to reiterate that OP, eventually you will have to learn to look into your modded setups by hand. Im not sure what new programs we will see for FO4, but i only use Wrye and tesvedit religiously, only nmm for 2 of the more complicated mods i use which is xpmse and Vividian enb (because lack of BAIN wizard for Wrye and lack of patience for me to create my own, so this is my only exception). I also sort my LO by hand. Spend more time learning now, play games longer later. Nobody likes later of course ;)
  20. If you want silent jill go download DarkEnd. That remind me of SH. For all other odds and ends, see the Sands of Time mod and visit there website. You wont regret it.
  21. Im not sure what a zap is and unfortunately i only saw low quality version of your cid on my phone, but wouldnt you just use NifSkope and delete it and reload your mesh into bodyslide? Im assuming a zap is some part of the model shaped like lightning? Or maybe i missed you completely on what you meant.
  22. Well, this here article just about sums it up:http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/laptop/f/3519/t/19586281 What a b&@*$ of a thing. You might try entering the gpu model in manually to the ini, although its also a pain because it wont generate your rendererinfo.txt correctly and uou also dont know the specific model code to type in to the ini
  23. I love how they just assume youll want to be using the intel gfx over the dedicated gpu, this is why i bought a cpu without that crap. It went black because it isnt defaulting to the nvidia driver. There is a way to do it, try googling disable integrated graphics and use dedicated gpu on a laptop. Ill have a look myself too. Been a while since i had to play with a laptop ;)
  24. Hehe im not the kind to rexommend silly stuff like reinstalling everything. So you lucky there. Let me see here... well, the top part of your load order is good, i was suspexting bad ordered dlcs etc but theyre good. I cant speak for "those" mods you got there because i wouldnt touch em with a 10 foot pole, but the load order seems fine. SkyUI i always put up top but. Have you run FNIS generator and all that? Maybe its a problem there, ive seen a few odd things. But if this is also a vanilla issue for you and youve taken all the correct steps in basic troubleshooting, you might be looking at something ini related, bodged setting perhaps. Edit - whats this here gold mod do? To sorta answer ur question about why it happens, can be a number of things, its a fragile game, but one reason is beoken quest triggering or botched edits from a mod on a quest or related script. If this gold mid touches vendors than maybe its holding up your scripts from firing away EDIT - or broken them altogether. Although thatd probably give you ctds on save too. Just looking at all options.
  25. The MSis are the better overclockers so good pick there. With the 280, you should be able to boost that to 1100 at 1.175v. But try a lower voltage, say 1.125v then increase it incrementally until you stop seeing artifacts pop up on screen during game. If you cant get ris of the artifacts or potentially crashes, drop from 1100. All the Radeons run hot, depending on your ambient temp you can probably be happy at 70% fan (Twin frozr aeent too bad really). If you increase memory, i think that card is 1400mhz, wither way dont clock too much here, add maybe 50mhz, maybe as high as 100. Memory OC can resuce good OC on your core see. My 7970 ran it 1200mhz for 2 years before degradation called for a drop in OC. In which case it ran at 1140 comfortably but voltage had to stay the same. Either way though keep an eye on your GPU usage during game, if this is not 99% then your cpu bottleneck is not worth overclocking your GPU too much for. Skyrim is particularly CPU bound, so this is an important factor.
