  1. If Windows is using 3-4GB of RAM, something is wrong. A lot of hidden processes running in the back ground maybe?
  2. If there's a market for this game and people who like the style, let them play it. There are millions of people who like playing tennis. I don't like it, but I don't go on the Internet posting a rant about it. Go do something you do like. Too many people these days looking to get outraged about something. Drama queens.
  3. Hate it. Nothing stands out. Graphically, minor things like tags seem to be displayed with the same importance as everything else. The whole thing seems flat. I sincerely hope you didn't pay for this. I'd be asking for my money back. Right now it's like one of those captcha's where you have to find the letters in a mess of shapes. I would certainly suggest making the most commonly used and important sections stand out more. Maybe highlight with color or a border?
  4. I can't believe they think that pissing off a bunch of very skilled computer users will end well for them. :nuke:
  5. Charlie Chaplin's masterpiece, Modern Times(1936). About a man trying to deal with the effects of automation on his life. Very relevant today, and still funny as hell. Especially the jailhouse lunch scene. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. Paulette Goddard was an absolute babe. :D
  6. That's nothing. I used the school desk mod and made Cate the teacher. She thinks nothing of shooting up in front of the class.
  7. I get the feeling that Bethesda is gambling their future on console players, and is shifting away from PC players, who's numbers are declining. This is a corporate decision made by accountants and business majors. It happens to every company when they get too big. Time to start buying from other developers.
  8. Same here. Apparently, from info I was given, when Steam updates itself it resets your settings, and you have to go back in and change it again. That's deliberate sabotage, in my opinion. They and Bethesda are working together. I'm boycotting Steam and Bethesda. I downloadedl the games I wanted to keep, activated them, then blocked Steam in my firewall, so it can never go online again. I'll never buy a game through Steam or from Bethesda again. This is the only way to get their attention, is to hit them in the wallet.
  9. Just set your browser to automatically load the newest version of a page each time you go to a site.
  10. It isn't just gaming. Our society as a whole has become entitled and spoiled. Everyone has become a critic and thinks that the whole world is just dying for their opinion. It's the age of the instant "expert". People read a couple of things about a subject and suddenly believe that they know EVERYTHING about it. It's egocentrism run wild.
  11. Everyone is ignoring the fact that you can't put a 64 bit OS on a 32 bit CPU. You would need to look up your chip to see what it can handle. That is, if you want to go that route. Personally, I hate how downloading time shows under time played. That's just wrong.
  12. They're just trying to make the Commonwealth great again. ;)
  13. I don't like cigarettes or their smell, but I believe that if something doesn't harm anyone but yourself, it should be allowed. If vaping eliminates second hand smoke, then I think it's at least a more considerate option.
  14. I remember a time when who you voted for was the least important thing defining a person. Now it's everything to some people. No matter how kind, charitable or honest you are, if you aren't part of my tribe(left, right, etc) you are the enemy. This is destroying our society. Until we stop squabbling among ourselves, the real enemy will continue to manipulate us for their own profit. Who am I talking about? The same people it's always been throughout history. The wealthy and powerful and their sycophants, who expect to also be wealthy and powerful if they just tout the company line. Lords, Masters, or CEO's. The title changes but the desire to control doesn't. It's incredible. Modern corporations have used their control of the media to convince people that government is the enemy, when in truth government is the only thing that can protect us from the real enemy. They've managed to get us screaming at the puppet on their right hand while stealing our wallet with their left. In truth, our congress has become a puppet of the corporate elite. This is nothing new of course. Our country was in much the same spot in the late 19th century. The Congress then was probably the most corrupt ever seen up til that time. Exploitation of our resources and workforce was rampant. I don't see it changing any time soon either. People are too willing to give up their freedoms for a few creature comforts. As long as they have the newest toys and gadgets, they'll be good little sheep. As a great man once said; "You get the government you deserve".
  15. There's only one cure for this kind of nonsense. Civil Disobedience. If enough people blatantly defy the law, it will overwhelm the system. The Soviets found out how expensive it is to micro manage their society. It bankrupted them.
  16. I wish that would happen here in the US, but with the Congress we have now, it's more likely that we'll lose even more of our consumer protections.
  17. I hope you meant "clink" of glass.
  18. What concerns me is that the legal definition of "product" is being changed by the industry for their own benefit. On one hand they claim games are a product and deserve legal protection from theft(piracy), enforced by the laws of our governments. On the other, they claim that it's not a physical product, but a licensing of game code, which you do not actually own, but are being given permission to use under the terms of a EULA. This severely limits our rights as consumers. Basically, there is a vast grey area in the law concerning digital goods, which has yet to be addressed by our governments and corporations are taking advantage of it. I remember when VCR's came along. Media corporations wanted it to be illegal to copy tv shows for later playback. The courts ruled that it was okay to copy said shows for personal use, but not commercial use. IE, selling those copies. I believe that this paradigm should also be used with today's video games. We just need some kind of ruling that games are "bought" and not just "leased". Until someone takes this through the courts though, it's the media companies who once again have us by the balls. They are getting to have their cake and sell it too.
  19. "May you live in interesting times." - Ancient Chinese curse
  20. Overseer's Guardian from the Vault 81 shop. Combat rifle. Effect is that it fires an extra projectile. Mod it for auto and it's a screamer. Takes out a super mutants and death claws in about 2 seconds.
  21. Besides those 2 folders, there are also game files in C:/user/appdata/Fallout4 and C:/user/documents/mygames/Fallout4. Those folders have your ini settings and plugins.txt files. There are also Nexus trace logs in C:/user/documents/Nexus Mod Manager. What Fallout 4 folder did you move? The main install one in SteamApps?
  22. Cable news networks are the media's version of Youtube reaction videos.
  23. If the Skyrim folder where the skyrimpref.ini file is stored, is marked "read only" it won't save the changes. Right click on the folder, then click on options, then uncheck the read only box. I tried both the Nexus Mod Manager and the Elder Scrolls Mod Manager and neither worked. The Data Files one that comes with the game works perfectly.
  24. I didn't see this one on your list. Radeon HD6530D on board. Acer AM3470G-UW10P Desktop w/ AMD Quad core @ 2.2GHz 4GB RAM Win7 * 32" 1920x1080 Westinghouse LED w/Gaming Mode Runs great on Very High, but gets a little jerky on Extremely High. This system was $400, including tax, off the shelf. * +$300 for the Monitor/HDTV
