  2. I'm looking to switch from Stakado CinemaScope ENB to Arko Fantasy ENB. The last time I attempted to just copy->paste->overwrite when switching ENBs, things went...weird. Very weird. Black shapes and what have you. So, what's the proper way to swap out an ENB?
  3. Issue resolved - spoke with Chesko. Will have to wait for the next Real Shelter patch. Also checking out your mod, redrakiton. :)
  4. I've looked around, and there's no information on it. The author of Real Shelter seems to have turned things over to Chesko, so I sent him a PM asking about it.
  5. Well, I've downloaded and installed the most recent version of Frostfall. Since I also use Real Shelter, I downloaded the necessary compatibility patch. There's just one issue... The Real Shelter patch is looking for "Chesko - Frostfall.esp" and the ESP file that Frostfall uses is just called "Frostfall.esp". Is it safe to just rename the file in my data folder? Or is there a specific way I'd have to go about handling this? I'm content to not use the patch until I can solve it, but if possible, I'd like to use both.
  6. I'll give that a whirl. It's entirely possible that it's related to the graphics card, this computer came with a really bad one and has literally no expansion slots for a new one. I'll check into SPS and see how it runs for me! Thanks!
  7. I've been using alternate start mods for a while now, most recently Alternate Start - Live Another Life. I switched them off because for some reason the ASLAL Helgen intro was causing glitches (Lokir dying before his first lines, PC running in place, dialogue events not progressing, the "spastic horse and buggy" glitch...) and found that I was CTDing at the very end, where you exit the cave with Ralof/Hadvar. Alduin flies over, Ralof/Hadvar crouches down, and then as they thank you for your help and go to take off, boom, CTD every time. Is this a leftover script that might be causing problems? I reinstalled ASLAL and, as long as I don't choose the Helgen start, everything runs smoothly.
  8. I miss this from Morrowind...back then, if we wanted to wear a full gauntlet on one arm and a bracer on the other, then dammit, we could! We could also mix pauldrons, and greaves were separate from cuirasses...ah, that was good stuff...
  9. Sounds almost like a quest I did in WoW recently...lol. A parasite attached itself to me and I fed it the corpses of fallen enemies.
  10. Ysolda automatically takes over the Bannered Mare in the event that Hulda passes away. It's an immediate script, too - I once killed Hulda with the console, stepped outside, and Ysolda bolted from the Wind District straight to the inn, and when I went back in she was at the counter. Maybe the script that causes that could be modified for her to take over Belethor's in the event that he dies?

Active Member: Yes Playable Races: Willing to play any, but the one voice I have refined so far is probably best for either an Imperial, a Breton, a High Elf, or a real poncy milk-drinker of a Nord. Experience: Amateur. Attempting to go professional. Skills: Experienced role-player, have always had voices available for characters I've RPed. About Me: I've got a penchant for playing arrogant and/or psychotic characters. I could adapt for other character types, but I really like playing the heartless, haughty, high-and-mighty, and the irreversibly bonkers. Voice Samples: Nothing yet. I have a house full of birds, and am currently in the process of creating a room without background interference. As I intend to go full-on professional as a voice actor, I'm working on setting up a profile. Hoping to use the Nexus as a good starting place. Side note: Willing to send/post samples if anyone's willing to put up with a little background noise.
  12. Deleting the mods from within NMM erases them from your computer entirely - just be sure to deactivate them first! :dance:
  13. I love threads like this... The modding community is under no obligation whatsoever to help. People help because they want to. I've had a few threads go nowhere, and that's okay. I'm in three Elder Scrolls groups on Facebook that are full of helpful persons (Ol' Darknut himself is a member of one of them...heck of a guy!). I always post up in all of my help areas and compare whatever answers come back.
  14. I can't seem to find it, but somewhere out there is a mod that replaces the menu smoke with fire...combined with an HD fire mod, it's really quite a sight. I just can't remember what it's called.
  15. Don't like the armour? Don't download the mod. Mods are all about individual taste. I happen to dislike several of the most popular mods on the Nexus, purely because they don't suit my personal taste. Do I sit around telling people how much I dislike them? No. I just don't download them.
  16. Modders on Nexus can't make armors based off of other games, as Nexus Rules consider it Copyright Infringement, even if the object was made from scratch. The said objects would be immediately taken down, and the modder probably banned. It'd be best to ask around somewhere else. ESO is another game. There's a collection of TERA armors that's pretty successful on Nexus. The very popular Triss armor is from The Witcher 2. I don't know exactly what the rule is, but it is obviously not as strict as you are suggesting. I was just thinking that...
  17. Entirely feasible for a were-anything to be lore-friendly. After all, Hircine is the father of man-beasts...were-mudcrabs would be lore-friendly because of that :P
  18. Does anyone know what's up with this mod? I tried installing it both manually and with NMM, and it just doesn't -do- anything. Author appears to have stopped supporting it a while back, sadly. I checked and double-checked that the ESP file was actually enabled, and it doesn't do any of the things it should. It doesn't add the nine new Death Knight races, it doesn't add the configuration skull to allow existing characters to become Death Knights, nothing. I searched with the console and didn't find anything. I'd really like to use this mod if someone can figure out what's going on with it.

Now all I have to do is find better eyes and figure out how to balance the weapon playstyle I'm used to from WoW (dual-wield or 2h) with the magic types that'll complete it (ice magic, necromancy, and health absorption/regeneration)
  20. Found what I was looking for. The Daedric Reaper set. It's a pain to get ahold of, but it's going to fit the look perfectly.
  21. I use UNPB with BBP, but depending upon the amount of coverage, I've found that there aren't too terribly many conflicts with CBBE and non-BBP armours. I'm also now in the process of looking for good Death Knight eyes. The vanilla blind eyes are a good start, but they're not glowmapped, which would really add to the feel.
  22. So, having spent some time binge-playing World of Warcraft, I'm looking to translate some of the looks I've come up with into Skyrim. In particular, I'd like to get my Death Knight brought over. I'm already using the TERA armour mod, but I still feel like something's lacking. Can anyone point me to any particularly dark-looking armours? Heavy, light, doesn't matter. Thanks!
