  1. I can happily report it's not the Nexus. Got to looking at the gaming rig, poor thing was just too old. Finally gave out on me. Hell, damn computer's from the early days of Vista. Going to figure out whether I want to spend my tax money on reviving and updating it or on getting a new computer altogether.
  2. I'm not even sure, I downloaded a bunch of stuff over the course of a couple of days. I lost track. I don't know about new or highly-advanced, but it was fast-moving. Shut me completely down in just an hour or two. It didn't come from the forum section. I have a pop-up blocker in place, but I am aware that doesn't always mean anything. The only sites I ever use are facebook, the Nexus, YouTube, and a manga scan site. But I do acknowledge that it's entirely possible it had nothing to do with the Nexus. As I said, I'm not 100% sure that the Nexus is to blame at all, I just wanted to bring it to attention in case that was the source. I'd like to be able to keep someone else from suffering this too should the Nexus indeed be the cause, but at this point I'll probably never know. But again, I'm not sure at all that the infected file or data came from the Nexus.
  3. First off, I'm not sure this is in the right forum, but as it's possibly related to a mod from the Skyrim Nexus, I figure this is a good place to start off. I literally just lost my gaming rig (less than an hour ago) to a virus. I don't have a way of knowing for certain, but the only site I've downloaded anything from lately has been the Nexus. It happened very, VERY quickly...the computer came to a "full system halt", whatever that means, and began doing the "beep beep" bit when trying to boot. I reached in and yanked a RAM card, hoping that was the issue. The computer proceeded to boot up normally, but wouldn't open anything except my browser - and would only pull up Facebook, no other sites would load. I attempted to pull up my antivirus program multiple times to no avail. It would appear as a background process, but the task manager couldn't shut it down. I attempted a full reboot only to be greeted by the boot menu. I attempted a diagnostic from in there and was given an error 0123 (IIRC. I was so annoyed I didn't really take note). I tried closing the boot menu and it threw up a Keyboard Error (keyboard's fine, computer thought it wasn't plugged in) before restarting with a black screen that simply said "The file is corrupt". Again, I can't be sure that it came from the Nexus, but as previously stated, that's the only place I've downloaded anything from lately. I know there was an infected file issue not too terribly long ago, so there may be a chance something managed to slip through the new processes used to upload files. I'm on here from my laptop now, just figured I'd throw out fair warning.
  4. OH. MY. GODS. THIS. I NEED THIS. OMFG. Seriously. I ADORE this woman!!!!
  5. I find your lack of immersion disturbing. I'm sorry XD Drop them in the water and wear them again? Wear another piece? Have you ever dropped something in a river in Skyrim? VWHOOSH! There it goes, with the current! My #2 method of disposing of bodies btw, after CUYC. Lmao.
  6. I'd also like to be able to remove blood from weapons for immersion's sake. I mean, let's face it...if I killed a wolf on my way into a little hamlet like Rorikstead, then walked into the bar with a blood-drenched blade...that's going to unnerve people. "Why's there blood on his weapon? Did he kill someone? Is he going to kill again? Why is he here?"
  7. "When you reach level 90"...that is, assuming you have Legendary Edition. ;) Could be set at 81 for people without LE or any DLCs.
  8. A complete overhaul of Alduin, Parthurnaax, and possibly Odahviing, as described in the following text: At the Throat of The World, we meet Parthurnaax, master of the Greybeards, a great, shining dragon, regal but time-worn, with the wisdom of many ages past in his eyes...as Kyne's representative on Nirn, he stands tall, glorious and good. He sends us on a task to retrieve the Elder Scroll, that we may learn a shout to rip dragons out of the air and bring them crashing to the ground. A dark, threatening roar suddenly pierces the tranquil silence of the mountain top. Wing beats that shatter the air begin to grow louder, and louder still. Enter Alduin, the World-Eater, Bane of Kings. A black-winged leviathan, hellbent on destroying all that lives, with eyes that burn like the deepest flames of Dagon's Badlands and great razor-teeth that glimmer red with the blood of those unfortunate enough to cross paths with him. Having sensed the use of the Elder Scroll, he rushed, furious, to the source of its activation. His wings blot out the sun, and his breath sears the ground, blackening the rock and stone...only Parthurnaax seems immune to the terror he emanates. The battle commences. We beat Alduin senseless, for we are the chosen of Akatosh, the great Dragon of Time, and he retreats, battered and broken but alive, to Sovngarde. Now, we have to follow him...but how? Where has exactly has he gone? How do we get there? Parthurnaax calmly responds to our unspoken frustrations, giving us the name of one who may yet help - Odahviing. Fast-forward to Dragonsreach. On the massive balcony out back, Balgruuf's men have hesitantly oiled up the long-unused dragon trap in your name. You call out - "Odahviing! I challenge you, wyrm!" Unable to resist, Odahviing swoops in. He's not as big as Alduin or Parthurnaax, but he's sure as hell no less threatening. We trap the great beast, and he tells us - Alduin has retreated to Skuldafn, an ancient fane reachable only by sky. He agrees to take us. Skip to Skuldafn. We've cleared the place of draugr and dragon, and slain Nahkriin. The portal lies ahead. We lunge in, and are transported to Sovngarde, the realm of the dead. We make our way through, gaining assistance for the final battle along the way. We clear the soul-snaring mist, and Alduin descends. He's still visibly injured - a shell of what we last encountered - but we're in his world now. Basically, I'm suggesting completely new models for at least two of the three named dragons we encounter in the story itself (Sahloknir aside). Bigger beasts that truly fit their roles in the tale of the Last Dragonborn...although as far as Odahviing's concerned, the Thanatos Dragon mod pretty much takes care of him for me. I can't even begin to provide images for Alduin & Parthy, but I can at least describe it: Alduin - a leviathan-sized dragon, with glowing red eyes and jet-black scales that shimmer with an unholy iridescence. Wings as black as the Void, and a body covered in blade-like spikes. Parthurnaax - a great, shining dragon, who glows like the light of Akatosh himself...perhaps feathered wings? Maybe?...and the wisdom of all the years he's spent in meditation reflected in his eyes.
  9. Ahhh, gotcha. Wireless peripherals may be a solution, then...just turn the keyboard on long enough to use it, then turn it off and set it aside. I know you said you're not a keyboard person, but it's the only thing I can think of at the moment.
  10. For one thing, transitioning causes it to basically cease functionality. Hormone therapy takes care of that. It basically becomes a floppy tube with no real purpose other than urination. And, most trans*women flip-flop sexually. Sometimes we want to be the woman, sometimes we want to "be the man". A strap-on's the best solution. There when you want it, gone when you don't. As far as clothing goes, that's a matter of personal preference. Some trans*women want to wear dresses, some are happy in jeans.
  11. Thank you but I play with a 360 controller on my TV. We talking on the 360? Or do you run your computer through a TV?
  12. Perhaps a bigger selection of accents would be best...I can even justify it with a bit of lore. As the new emperor, Tiber Septim made HIS language the official language of the new empire. Learning it became mandatory. Of course, there's always the issue that Tiber Septim was actually a Nord...and the ancient language of the Nordic people is Draconic (or Drakish, however you prefer it).
  13. "Eonar, the titan patron of all life, gave a portion of her power to the red leviathan Alexstrasza. Ever after, Alexstrasza would be known as the Life-Binder, working to safeguard all living creatures of Azeroth. Due to her supreme wisdom and limitless compassion for all living things, Alexstrasza was crowned the Dragonqueen and given dominion over her kind." - www.wowwiki.com/Alexstrasza I'd like to see Alexstrasza's humanoid form somewhere in Skyrim, whether as an armour mod, a follower, or a playable race (the latter two would be awesome, but I'll take what I can get - after all, this is the modding community, and it's up to the modders in the end, not the requester!) EDIT: As a footnote, please ignore the name of the attachment. That's literally how it saved to my computer. I'm not arguing, but I prefer less "13 year old boy" filenames.
  14. My problem comes in finding decent hairstyles for men. Not so wild about most of the choices in the SkyHair mod...
  15. Ah, yeah, that was a little vague, wasn't it? Well, there are mods that add things like skulls and organs to corpses, maybe something like that could be implemented to add bones? And the skeletons and piles of bones lying around could be turned into misc items that can be picked up. Those items can then be turned into bonemeal by being taken to...Iunno, an alchemy station makes the most sense because it has a mortar & pestle, but those are for potion crafting, and bonemeal isn't a potion hahaha.
  16. I've found it so hard to do something like this...I use RaceMenu, but I'm terrible at it. Following this while I search the Nexus for any potential leads.
  17. Immersion-breaking issue: you'd experience wagonloads of indoor weather.
  18. In the in-game books "Bone, Part I" and "Bone, Part II", we learn the dark, grisly origin of bonemold armour - bone, taken from the bodies of fallen warriors, ground and crafted with resin into plates. This got me to thinking... In the various ruins, caves, and dungeons throughout Skyrim, there are already skeletons, either lying around or walking about waiting to be smacked apart. Why not put them to good use? Find a pile of bones, take it to an alchemy table and grind up some bonemeal. Knock a skeleton over the head, then pick up the pieces. Craft your bonemold the way it was originally done! Also, in Bone, Part II, those whose bones were used returned as squelching, slithering, boneless ghouls seeking to reclaim that which was taken from them...but that's a story for another mod.
  19. Just don't s*** your spacesuit in broad daylight.
  20. I just mean questwise. Let's say you start the campaign as Sir Dan, go all the way through the quest that you design, and then reach the end of the content added by the mod...what then? Is there a portal back to Skyrim proper or something?
  21. I was wondering how that was going to work out. But...here's another question - once you finish the MediEvil questing...what then?
  22. Absolutely. Can. Not. Wait!!! This is AMAZING!!!
  23. Can't believe I passed right over that mod in my search. That's exactly what I was looking for.
  24. It's got curved swords. Curved. Swords! Actually, that is a nice weapon pack. Not quite what I'm looking for, but they're too nice to pass up. Thanks!
