  1. Does your armors' texture .ddl have mipmaps or compression? It happens some times that textures don't load, you may also want to check your harddrive for errors if you can; in the properties.
  2. Its an after effect of power leveling, and level mobs, you don't have enough hp and skills in armor to withstand the higher level archers with randomed high damage arrows, either power level your skill in armor by like letting a dagger bandit hit you while you heal and such or block with a shield, or avoid those archer drauger which are always the ones who do that by avoiding barrows and just doing caves; if your not power leveling read on. Archers are something rather difficult for mods to mess up, if its one shots its more likely due to power leveling, but if not I suggest using either console or stealth to kill the archers first or "tim" because they don't have finishers or check to see if you have any mods that add arrows to leveled lists.
  3. First lets jump in and talk about the armoraddon, you need to post that, as well as look at the briarheart for reference, since I know you have already made model bits for your tattoos.
  4. Ok, I meant ck item, but hey whatever. At this point its either look at the .nif or esp or what have you or your on your own, anything that can be done remotely is done.
  5. Did you scale your mesh up by like .001 or whatever, because you say you made it out of the arms... Look at it this way, you can see it in ck, thus ruling out it being completely broken, unless somehow you've accidently made your textures have max transparentcy, which could happen... and would make any part of the body it covers invisible. Also alternate textures are for non model linked textures, like recolors of weapons and armor and skins and rugs and such. Also I take it this is an equipable tattoo, what does your item look like?
  6. Its not likely to find a whole set of dwarven armor in one place just because the lore says the time period of the dwelmer was that of rarity of full suits of heavy armor, just read Chimarvamidium or walk the halls of Bamz-Amschend (probably the best preserved of any dwelmer ruins you get to go in during any of the games) in tribunal and you'll see that cuirass and weapons like spears or axes were more the normal attire of the standing dwarven army and full suits were just not something that you would see.
  7. It kind of tells you which to tick, that being SKELETON... maybe read things some time? The patch is for fnis to be compatible with the skeleton you downloaded. Also if you really want to use fnis you should consider removing that behavior or fnis.
  8. That is the mesh used for that mod, the texture doesn't seem to be working, try re-downloading, if that doesn't work you might try confirming attachment of the texture in creationkit, but if you cant then your probably not going to be able to use it.
  9. try pressing ~ then type 'help "name of weapon*" *the name of the modded weapon then take the modded weapons number player.additem (items number) 1 Sometimes mods don't add world instances or receipts of weapons so its the only way to get them.
  10. Sized wrong as in scale, as in smaller then the first person model for arms, because not all meshes for body parts are the same, unless you imported the first person model of the arms in nifscope for scale comparison to make them be the right size. Which is looking more like what might be going on here then not, as you've got them in ck.
  11. You need to create an outfit with the armor in it and set it so it is their outfit. You can look up outfits for any npc to find what category it is in, create new and add your armor, then give it to the npc, they should put it on. Armor worn by npcs is always the outfit, npcs don't put on armor you put in their inventory, they just carry it as loot.
  12. What does your ck item look like? The only thing I can think of is try your 1st person model in the 3rd slot to see if it works but besides that I don't have any clue. Either its sized wrong, is set up wrong or the universe is set agienst letting you do this.
  13. Well, I was going to make a daedric level dwarven armor variant that you could not smith, name it ancient dwarven armor and set it to be like one part to maybe be in the later part of certain ruins and leave the normal variant to be like the crap resmithed stuff you'd normally find. If someone else wanted to do that, it'd be nice.
  14. Its best to check to see if you even can handle a enb, say if your like me and run at around 25fps after some slight modding your probably not going to get an enb. (before you ask both the word run and slight are subjective) Also 'moot' is horrible to use in that sentence for the meaning you want, you have Rick Springfield to thank for that most likely, as it literally means it is a 'debatable point', please use the more accurate phrase "It's a null point." as it literally means the point doesn't matter; and not base your understanding of English literary terms off 80's rock songs.
  15. Firstly I don't know what the policy is, but even having pirated in the past should probably count towards a ban imo, secondly if you have the legendary edition you are probably not going to find very many mods that work out the download, due to the simple fact that the legendary edition and standard with separate dlc version have very different file structure from what I've heard, and would most likely require mod versions for the different master file.
  16. It was to the stuff I wrote before it, probably wrote it strange to begin with. Also I reinstalled the mod to get the original texture for the model without having to fiddle with it, so I could at least have it and forgot I changed the item in game as well; thing breaks the thing I changed so it de-equips my temporary neck portion item and makes me have to re-mod it. As far as the model, I've made it have what I wanted but I cant figure out how to get nifscope to recognize new verts as having weights and getting it to what I want without adding new trishape items to the .nif, or having new items as a new .nif as the fix for the model. I'm going to celebrate when I actually can make a model different in any way and still work.
  17. From what I gather you are trying to make a head and not an armor, and are having problems but have not provided a picture of your problem that would be helpful in conveying what you mean by neck seam showing, and then tell us you are either not directing your textures to a texture with transparencies or trying to make transparencies with the mesh by deleting faces and cant seen to do that. My suggestion is provide a picture of what you mean by neck seam showing, and maybe a link to a place where one can download the nif and take a look at that, and clarify what part of what you are trying to do what to.
  18. Restart after uninstalling the "several mods" if still there, look though for mods that change the opening sequence and remove. Come back after if you've failed and we can see about walking through what is wrong, by asking you to post your load order and someone then picking at it, and or telling you to update stuff or uninstall ect.
  19. So, are you saying you uninstalled skrim, skse and nexusmodmanager and reinstalled just skyrim? Did you remove everything from your steam mod list? Who are these people that said skse was doing it, I want to slap them.
  20. Seeing as my mod is on that list, I should probably address this; lifts-her-tail Argonian UNP texture is just that, texture. Did you update the fnis by running the tool it gives in the files, because that will f*** up stuff if not done in that particular way and others if not the latest version. Also I do plan to update said mod at some point with better textures, and compatibility with the only mod it happens to conflict with (it has to be installed after as is the case with textures), I'm just in the process of such; and lots of other crap.
  21. Remember to update your mods regularly, animation mods like to break stuff when they are not updated, and always read the mod fully before you install it, and follow any instructions; animation mods like to conflict and break other animations when installed wrong, and installing a new animation has a likelyhood of breaking any you've previously installed. Updating your mods to have everything at the latest version you can support (skyrim dlc you have) is a good place to start for fixing any problems.
  22. If your trying to take parts off an already existing armor, its probably better using full transparent texture parts instead of deleting mesh sections for things like sleeves. Unless there is a visible section of the body object under the armor object section its going to be a hollow section. As for playing around with verts if you properly import the .obj in an old nif version like nifskope-1.1.0-rc4 it will should not really be an issue, you may have to reattach the bslightingshader and such in a newer version, there is tutorials on the wiki for the fallout porting.
  23. You have to start skyrim with SKSE, you cant start it from the skyrim .exe or steam by default, its best if you play skyrim with skse to add skse_loader to steam's list of games with the "+add game" button in the bottom left of the steam window, you can change the name to Skyrim: SKSE or whatever and even change the icon.
  24. Just extract the from the .bsa with fo3Archive, if nothing looks amiss in it, its probably a random error. Well, I don't know why but it looks like the stuff I make where the skin f*#@s up and texture overlaps on the same surface, you could probably get similar effect by overlapping uvs to get a randomized texture; I've tried it before its not all that easy to reproduce manually.
  25. That looks like a bad skinning, I don't know how to fix it myself as I have the same problem, and there are no tutorials for such, its due to the bone making the skin all messed up, because its not right for the mesh.
