  1. There were some changes to AFs in the last expansion, so you really want to look for a QR setup. Scrapheap Challenge is usually a good place to go for inspiration on ship fittings: http://scrapheap-challenge.com/viewtopic.php?t=21430 BTW - what are you planning to use the ishkur for? PvP, level 3/4 missions, ratting?
  2. Don't remember seeing you in fleet, Dark0ne ^^ I'm back in Razor alliance - one of the main alliances of the NC. We've just finished a clean up operation in Pure Blind and Deklein, removing some leftover bob pets from the North. It's been pretty much non-stop fighting in the north, since bob started their max campaign with an assault on Deklein in July.
  3. I'm sure my friends living in Fountain would love new, juicy targets :D I wouldn't recommend heading to Venal at the moment, as the direct route from empire will take you through a war zone. Pure Blind should be ok to move around in. Syndicate is always fun - and there are so many stations ^^ Haven't been in the South for ages, but Curse could be a good market (if you can get in through Doril - wouldn't recommend HED-GP) With BoB & pets MAXing it up in the north I have no idea how good a market Delve would be atm.
  4. You can't dock in player owned stations unless the corp owning the station grants you docking rights - which will usually be restricted to alliance members, alliance alt corp members and members of friendly alliances. If you want to trade in 0.0, you could check out NPC sov 0.0 where the stations all belong to NPC corps and everyone can dock - Syndicate, Outer Ring, the Sisters of Eve and Mordus stations in Pure Blind, some stations in Geminate, Curse, Great Wildlands, Venal, some stations in Delve. You'll still have to negotiate gatecamps etc, but at least you can dock to put your goods on the market. Good luck :)
  5. Maybe you could send her some flowers/chocolate/spiced wine? Arrange a clandestine meeting to discuss your elopement? Find an Amarrian roleplayer to act as a priest? 'Tis indeed a cruel, unfeeling universe out there :(
  6. How the hell am I meant to derail the current PL moving to Venal thread into a why BRUCE fail thread if I can't even post. I demand my money back! And how are you going to court Angel now? Is your romance doomed already, tragically curtailed by the powers that be? Romeo & Juliet - the EVE Online version ^^
  7. It's a bit of an IRONic ( :whistling: ) thread title, since what I remember mostly about IRON isn't running, but the endless camping during the Deklein campaign. A strategy even my cat could have predicted was bound to fail...
  8. You do seem to have a secret crush on xxangelxx, looking at some of your CAOD posts  As for me, Minmatar frigate 5 is finished. Spent a few minutes acquiring the hacking skill, and now it's back to battlecruisers 5 - which, being a rank 6 skill, will easily take up the rest of the month and then some :( Plus, to paraphrase the exorcist, the power of 2 compelled me, so now I have a second training plan to work out ^^ Goals for Kharis will be science 5 to work for R&D agents, industry 5, transport ships. Have been concentrating on learning skills so far - apart from the charisma ones, all basic learning skills are at 4, and by tomorrow the advanced ones should all be at 3.
  9. Things are not looking too bad for the NC atm, despite some setbacks. The most demoralising thing for me, and for I think most of us, was that BoB & co seemed to benefit greatly from the serial nodecrashes we had during the fights for M-O. During the first big fight, we were set up on the Taisy gate and killing primary after primary and had the advantage - both in numbers, in fully loaded grids, and in position. Then the node crashed repeatedly. BoB seemed to be able to get more people loaded in M-O than we did, and with e-warps and the server relocating people to random spots in the system our advantage was gone. But that was nothing compared to the fight 2 days later... We had support from Kia, Daisho, TCF and possibly others. M-O local topped out at around 1100 - yep, that's 1100 combat pilots in one system - and of course the server had a heart attack. After that node crash I sat for 3 hours staring at the 'entering game' screen. On TS, at first everyone was positive because we had the numbers to win this fight, and just needed to get back into the game. But then it got quiet... judging by TS we had about 4 people who were in game and had loaded the grid. But most of us just couldn't log back in and were stuck on 'entering game'. And getting killed while still stuck. We lost pretty much an entire lagged-out cap fleet that night, in a fight we should have won. We lost a system that we should have retaken that night. And we lost it all to a hardware failure that we could do nothing about. :(
  10. Well... my skill training plan has been shelved, and I need to think of something new to train for. I finished Advanced Weapons Upgrades 5 a couple of days ago - as the last prerequisite before starting to train cap ship skills as my alliance is always looking for more dread pilots. However, I don't envisage being in my alliance for long enough to finish dread training, and I don't really have any interest in cap ships... As I was given a stiletto as a present I'm currently training Minmatar Frigate 5, so I can actually fly it ^^ And after that... well, after spending the last year on skills that made me a more useful alliance/fleet member (mostly battleship skills, starbase defence etc) I think I'll finally train battlecruisers to 5 and get myself an absolution to play with :)
  11. Medium beam laser spec IV should take me until near enough the end of July... then it's back to amarr battleship V... which will take up most of August
  12. That's the great thing about EVE - there's so much to do it keeps surprising you :D Had a look for a couple of threads about Hera - http://eve-search.com/thread/502031/page/1 & http://myeve.eve-online.com/ingameboard.as...threadID=581902 - a bit of EVE history :)
  13. You've not heard of the mothership camps in Tama, Aunenen and I think Otou? Low sec mothership camps used to be all the rage... I think it was The Establishment who 'invented' mothership piracy in low sec with their famous Nyx, Hera, but I could be wrong there (luckily I was never on the receiving end of Hera's officer smartbombs! :D ) And if you're transporting anything of value in a ship that's easily killable (frigate, shuttle, industrial) do not use autopilot. There's usually no shortage of suicide gankers in the 0.5 and 0.6 systems along the major trade routes, waiting for a juicy target to warp in on autopilot. They will have an accomplice who scans your cargo - often using a passive targetter so you don't even know you're being locked - and reports back anything promising to the combat ship. Then, when you come out of warp 15km from the gate on autopilot, the combat ship - usually a cheap battlecruiser - blows you up in the hope that enough of your cargo survives to make a profit. This cargo is picked up by an accomplice while concord blows up the suicide ganker. After insurance and with basic T1 mods fitted, suiciding a Brutix costs around 3.5 mil (or used to - don't know what Brutix prices are like atm) - so you don't even have to carry all that much of value. A cheaply fitted T1 Brutix with overloaded blasters can easily blow up an Iteron V in a 0.5 system before concord have put down their donuts and coffee and sprung into action.
  14. You were lucky going through those low sec systems - Rancer can be nasty at times. In a fast frigate you usually have a pretty good chance of getting through low sec camps (unless you encounter a smartbombing camp) since most camps won't be able to lock you fast enough before you can warp away. First time I went through Rancer and the neighbouring low sec systems the stargates were decorated with frozen corpses... If you want to play it safe (and you're flying anything bigger than a frigate) set your autopilot to 'prefer safer' which will avoid systems below 0.5 security where possible (usually results in a much longer route though) Your main expense in running a corporation is office rent - this can vary hugely depending on location (I've seen rents of 11000 isk and 100 million isk per month). Renting an office gives you a corp hangar where corp assets can be stored and shared between members. You control access to the hangars by giving roles to people. Roles also control who can do what within the corporation - eg accept applications, rent offices, take cash out of the corp wallet etc. Be aware that there are corp thieves who will try to get as much access as they can, then walk off with whatever they can steal, so be careful who you give roles to, and what roles you give them. One other thing to bear in mind if you're setting up your own corp is that you can be war decced by anyone wanting to grief you.
  15. If you can be bothered, file a harassment petition when you get a mail/convo/local spam from an isk seller - but for each one petitioned about 10 more appear :(
  16. Thank you very much for your kind comments :) It's great to hear that people are still playing and enjoying our mod. Giving our NPCs as much individuality as possibly was one of the main design criteria for Iredior - I think all of us working on the mod were thoroughly fed up with the carbon copy NPCs of Morrowind. I'm sorry to have to disappoint you, but at the moment there are no plans to complete Iredior - the time and effort required to get Iredior completed would be huge, the team has disbanded and all of us moved on to other things.
  17. Bare with you? Are you starting a nudist forum?
  18. COULD YOU REPEAT THAT PLEASE YOUR WRITING IS AWFULLY SMALL!!!
  19. Thanks for making me feel really old now :glare:
  20. Pinned, and endorsed. It's easy to start a mod... but seeing a project through from start to finish is hard, time-consuming work.
  21. Perhaps 'jerry' in that context is a corruption of 'geriatric'? Just guessing, since I haven't read the story.
  22. Currently reading 'The War Among The Angels' by Michael Moorcock. Love his style of writing and use of language. I can definitely second Peregrine's recommendation of Iain M. Banks' Culture novels - 'Excession' and 'Player of Games' are my favourites among his books. Very well written, and stunningly imaginative - science fiction doesn't get much (if any!) better than that. Peregrine: Have you tried ordering from amazon UK? Iain M. Banks' books are widely available here.
  23. I'm absolutely hopeless when it comes to categorising music... don't really know what you'd call it... dark alternative? Modern goth? Best thing to do would probably be visiting the bands' websites/myspace sites and listening to audio samples. Most of the tracks on the CD I'd heard on internet radio before, but unfortunately the stations I used to listen to all the time (Funeral Nation, Deathrock Radio) have been offline for ages.
  24. Sick Twisted Individual (no, not you Stampede - it really is the name of the CD ;D ) Vol. I Got an absolute bargain on this fantastic compilation featuring tracks by, among others, Killing Miranda, Libitina, Uninvited Guest and Arkam Asylum. Favourite tracks have to be Zeitgeist Zero's 'Tombstone Tourist' and 'Love Like Broken Glass' by Cauda Pavonis (which works surprisingly well as a soundtrack for EVE Online combat missions... )
  25. Sevenne was hanging around a tavern in Skingrad yesterday - as one does - shadowing some people she'd been instructed to get rid of. She overheard an Orc trying to chat up the barmaid - yet she wasn't having any of it. "I have nothing more to say to you. Goodbye." Mog gra-Mogach or whatever her name is told her unlucky suitor. Thus thwarted in love, he took out his anger and frustration on the other patrons - namely Sevenne's 'targets' - and attacked them without provocation. They weren't having any of it, and chased the Orc out of the tavern and into a back alley, where they killed him. Where were the guards, one wonders? Probably busy hauling Oblivion-gate closing heroes off to jail for stealing apples. :glare: Perhaps, having lost all hope of winning the love of his life, the poor Orc didn't mind losing his life as well. :(
