  1. First of all, sorry that didn't resolve your issue. Secondly, hmm. I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to these things so you'll have to bear with me, assuming you're willing to but my next step would be to try to figure out if it is in fact your textures and the way I would do this is by going to that texture section specifically and moving it to my desktop and then starting the game. Just in case you are unfamiliar with the folder hierarchy I would go to: Data - > textures -> actors -> character -> and move the female folder to the desktop (so it is easy to put back) Then load up the game and see if you still have the issue. If a mod is messing with your textures and that is what is causing that, it should become clear by doing that. Of course we have to hope that if a mod is doing it and it is doing so by altering the textures there, that it won't happen to be a BSA or else this won't matter I think. But to me it is worth the try if you're willing to do so.
  2. Hey there TheBxushis, I took a quick look at the file and noticed that the mod author did not include any facegendata with their file. This could possibly be what is causing your problem. Give one of these solutions a try and if that was the problem, it should fix it: Fixing the Grey Face Bug Skyrim Npc "Black face bug" Fix Hopefully that will help you out. Good luck.
  3. Hello xWonderless, What happens when you start a brand new game? Do you have the same issues? Also, could you post a screenshot of what you have going on? It's possible that somehow disabling and re-enabling mods somehow messed up that save. Perhaps someone else here will know differently and or be able to tell you how to save your save, but more information might lead to you getting better help/results.
  4. Hello Heavy, I'm not sure if I'll be able to help you out or not, but would you be able/willing to post a picture of this issue? Without knowing specifics, it could be what I'm thinking, it could not be but if Bjinn isn't having this issue but everything one else seems to be, I would imagine this is because Bjinn is standalone and uses its own textures and you have a mod that is messing with the vanilla textures. Also, would you be willing to post your full mod list/order? Again, I may not be able to help, but it may help someone else help you out.
  5. Hey Kutt, I don't know. Perhaps you should try logging out and then logging back in or something because I was able to find your mod via search and I see it in your list of files. I apologize if that doesn't help, but I am seeing everything fine on my end regarding your mod.
  6. Hey Nattidati, I'm not entirely sure what that is about. It may not be this mod, but have you tried deactivating EnhancedCharacterEdit? The only reason I suggested that is because I know that mod comes with a custom head mesh. Maybe its that. Could also be a mod that alters the normal maps for the head. I noticed in your screenshot the race is Redguard teenager, but are the vanilla races like that as well?
  7. Hello Foqsi, I'll try to answer your question as best as I can and keep in mind that my answer only refers to using the Nexus Mod Manager, but how you can tell depends on the mod. If a mod has what is called an .esp file then it is easy to tell if they are installed AND active by looking for it under the Plugins tab. There the mod should be listed and you want to make sure the box is checked. This is a common step to miss and even veterans occasionally forget to do this. If a mod lacks an .esp file (much like many replacer mods such as texture replacers and/or mesh replacement type mods) then that can be a little bit more tricky. For that, you would have to know what you're looking for so if you have a mod that replaces a texture for a weapon, you would likely find the file in Data - > [/b]textures[/b] - > weapons BUT, the BEST thing you can do in all cases to figure this out is to read the description of a mod thoroughly and if that doesn't work out go to their comment section (and now possibly the bug section) and pick out a word or two that would seem key to your issue and do a search. There's a good chance the issue/question as already been stated and addressed. I hope this helps you out. Good luck and take care.
  8. Hello Ailtrae, You definitely covered all the basis on this in a matter of hours you helped yourself. Combat Styles and ensuring that no spells that can use either hand or left handed ones are equipped are generally the key to making sure your follower can use spells while wielding a shield. Good luck with this follower and I honestly look forward to seeing it one day, assuming you plan to release it one day of course. )
  9. Sometimes, it is because there is an idea in you and you just want to get it out because if you don't or you can't, it drives ya nuts, lol. But it can be fun despite all the frustration just to see something you made be out there. I guess the reason(s) would be similar to why people write fanfiction. That being said, a person's motivations can (and often will) shift should circumstances around them change. Many things that people did just for the fun often has (or has the potential to) lead to someone doing it as a profession although that wasn't originally their intent. But I'd say the reasons we put ourselves through such frustrations often to have people respond in ungrateful ways has more to do with emotions than logic. It makes us feel good in the end, for one reason or another whether it is because of all our work that went into it to seeing it finally done and or because of those who do appreciate what we've done regardless as to how few or great that number may be. That be my opinion anyway and I thank you for posing such a good question.
  10. Hey Audilesine, DeftheLyn has given you the link to a very useful tutorial, but if for some reason you run into an issue, it may be that you're attempting to do a part of it, that is no longer necessary to do and that's the part where it tells you to add lines to the .xml so you can open the nifs. Also, in addition to that tutorial, Tutorial - Creating Standalone NPCs could also prove useful to you. Good luck to you.
  11. Sorry I didn't fully explain before with my other answer or show you where to see a full explanation of how to view texture paths for a mesh you opened in Nifskope. This could help you out if you ever want to see where exactly a mesh is looking for is textures or if you want to change it manually or replace it: Nifskope Texture Path Tutorial Glad you got your issue resolved though. Take care.
  12. Hey Harhar, It is possible that somehow, someway, you have another mod that relies on Castle Grey or perhaps you accidentally removed another master of some kind. Either way, it sounds like a mod you have active needs a masterfile that isn't there without your Castle Grey mod. I am sure there are other ways to check for this sort of thing, but my preferred method in this situation is to use TES5EDIT as running that usually will tell you exactly what mod is missing a master... at least it does for me. Also, it could be that your load order may need to be adjusted without Castle Grey, in which case, I'd run LOOT just to be on the safe side assuming you haven't already. I hope this helps you out.
  13. Hello Dagmar, I could be wrong, but it looks like you have a mod that is pointing that mesh to the wrong folders for its textures. If you have any mods that mess with textures, I'd probably try disabling them one at a time, then checking in the game to see if the problem goes away. It could be a different kind of mod, but I'd start with the ones that only/specifically deal with textures in some way. Another possible faster way to see about this issue is to go to Data -> meshes -> clutter -> signage -> riften And look for a .nif file called signrtraggedflagon01.nif. You will need a free program called Nifskope (if you don't already have it) and open it. Then you will be able to look at the texture paths and follow them to make sure they are actually pointing to textures that actually exist. That's my opinion of what is wrong anyway.
  14. I'm glad Squashy got it worked out and that Squashy posted what the problem was here just in case anyone else encounters the problem. I thank Squashy for that and hope the mod author does fix the problem for him. )
  15. Greetings Aragorn, I think you're partially right regarding the Scripts.rar file. Just in case, that is the case, I am also going to list the other place that I found works just as a back up plan if the place you suggested happens to not work and the Script.rar thing is the issue... Skyrim \ Data \ Scripts.rar Extract to Skyrim => Data => Scripts => Source Folder
  16. Hello there Thadius Faran, I think I may be able to help figure out at least one of the issues, but it would help if you could kind of walk through the process and tools you use for editing/changing NPC appearances. As far as 2 goes, are you exporting the FaceGendata by any chance?
  17. Hi Squashy, I never seen this issue myself, so I tried to find an answer for you on it and the closest I could find, was a person saying that they believed this error is caused by a mod trying to corrupt the data stream or something to that effect. Here is the direct quote: "...that's caused by one of your mods trying to do a very bad thing and corrupt the entire data stream in tes5edit. figure out what mod it is, then don't load it." From: matortheeternal found here. I hope that helps you out.
  18. Hey Kara, I am sorry that I am not familiar with this issue at all, but I'll try to help you. My buddha butta belly tells me that maybe you cleaned a mod (or few) improperly. Typically speaking, unless you're really experienced or something, you shouldn't clean a mod/file unless you're its author, but I somehow think your issue may be linked to that. Have you tried disabling mods one at a time and then seeing if the problem persists? Or disabling all mods? What about on a new game?
  19. Hey Redxmoon, What other mods do you have? Can you please paste your list here. I am not sure if I'll be able to help as I have never personally heard of or encountered such an issue, but a mod list could make it easier for me (and or others) to try. Also, what happens when you try to add a vanilla follower to your party?
  20. Hello Lady Ekem, If your issue is what I think it is, then it is actually very easy to resolve so let's hope I'm right, lol :D But in that section in your picture that has all the textures listed, one them, I think in this case, the one of the eye socket textures (FemaleUpperEyeSocket.dds and or Female LowerSocket.dds) is "turnt up" and needs to be turned down. You just need to click on it, then look to the right at the Interpolation Value and make sure it is 0. If it isn't, make it so and that should fix your issue.
  21. Okay, then I just misunderstood what Rampage was saying. It's possible that the original poster meant that he did what you described, which is also what I did... though it was hardly complicated. I mean the fact that I was able to do it in one try proves there's nothing complicated about it, lol. It's only a matter of preference. The activation thing is what I figured as well, but I didn't even consider that it could be an outdated form of SKSE. Nice idea as to what the problem could be and something that may help me help someone else in the future. Thanks for that )
  22. Hey BlackRampage, I'm actually pretty sure that you can install SKSE with Nexus Mod Manager as I am quite certain that is how I have mine installed, unless I am misunderstanding what you're saying. Regarding what you're saying Vekkulious, when you launch SKSE and then go to play the game, do you get a message saying something like "Some of these mods rely on SKSE..." or something like that? If not, and you have mods that rely on it, at least you know SKSE is launching fine. But did you activate Immersive Weapons after you installed it? Also, test it out in game. Like, pick the name of a weapon that comes with Immersive Weapons and then once in game, activate your console, and do help and that weapon's name. If you tried that already and it is like the weapon is not in the game, then I have to ask, are there other mods not showing up in your game and do all the other mods not activating use SKSE? It may be as simple as forgetting to activate them after the install though.
  23. Not a problem, hopefully you'll figure it out so you can use the follower enhancement mod you prefer. )
  24. Wow. Okay. Just seemed like there might have still been a desire to figure out what was wrong so we were still trying to help. Just wow. You're welcome.
  25. Hey Sinner, I'm not sure if this will help you out as I'm not an AFT user myself, BUT, I did find this. If that doesn't work, maybe you can go to AFT's comment section and do a search for missing parameters. If you already tried this, I'm sorry. Just posting possible ideas as to how to figure this thing out.
