  1. Really Baron? :whistling: I didn't know wether to dig out an enormous violin or just offer a hug (I think you're a very nice person - bit oversenstive sometimes but hey) but the smiley was noted  You know, being anything but far left is usually what gets you loathed on the web too considering where we all know where that invisible good vs evil axis exists on that chart according to all "clever" people.
  2. I think it was a member of Velvet Underground (and also a few former hippies I know) who said they could easily empathise with the Tea Party so it's really not that strange, The Tea Party also covers a far broader group of people than it's opponents admit. Even Noam Chomsky has said that he regards the Tea Party as a legitimate and understandable reaction to Government overreach and crony capitalism. Lets see some more results people? :)
  3. JEEZ, lets just do those tests and not over split hairs  Here's my result for Myr's compass test (Did that one a few years back, think I was pretty similar back then) http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/3563/pcgraphpngl.png And as for powdered's, I'd placed myself somewhere around the E in "Less" Nice thread :)
  4. That's surely against the TOS here and if so I'm sure a moderator will deal with it appropriately.
  5. upload it somewhere and shoot me a pm with the link if you want
  6. End users are a benefit to the community too - no value in a mod if there's nobody there to download it, so I don't see why they should be subject to what are sometimes overinflated ego's, bad tempers or real life problems problems being projected onto them if they don't deserve it. A simple solution is not to post if in a bad mood...
  7. Agreed 100% New Vegas is just too cowboy-centric for my tastes. I miss the subways and Urban areas @OP: Having said that, the quests, npc's and mechanics in New vegas are way improved so I can't see how you'd regret it.
  8. I never talked about being less "free", but anyway... Believe it or not I'm aware that there are things called foreign aid, military spending etc. Frankly I'm not happy about a great deal of it (I don't recall saying anywhere that I was..), but this topic is about healthcare and I was adressing the principle beyond that. (I'm living just above poverty level by the way too in case anybody thinks I'm just some "greedy heartless fat cat") And no, I'm not an American. I'm a British expat living in a country with some of the worlds highest taxes that has taxpayer funded healthcare. A healthcare system in which more and more health related and biological issues are being deemed "necessary" to be taxpayer funded. In the upcoming election here, if the opposition wins, Fertility treatment is going to become taxpayer funded. - This is the kind of thing I believe will happen in America if Obamacare isn't repealed and I don't believe any country can handle those kind of costs sustainably because the cost will grow and grow just like it does with poorly administered welfare.
  9. But then Brighton was always pretty alternative friendly in my experience, used to enjoy going down there myself before I left the UK. Inner South East London on the other hand? Got abuse every single day (not joking), got beaten by gangs a few times, a machete/large knife - too busy running to check - in the back of my shoulder at an Elephant+Castle bus stop (my Trusty old Biker jacket that I wore most of the time back then caught the brunt luckily). @OP: I left 10 years ago, only pass through occasionally on my way to visit folks every few years, I see the changes for the worse pretty markedly due to the timespan I guess. I miss the clubs and some of the shops and the variety in food, can't think of anything else  Swapped one nanny state for another I guess, this one hasn't fallen asleep at the wheel yet though
  10. Fallout 3 / New Vegas are hardly just shooters guys  That's not necessarily the entire complaint here with them anyway. When I say FPS I mean, no choices, neglible plot that just relies on snazzy weapons and lots of explosions and gameplay that consists of looking down the arse end of a gun and blasting things for 99% of the game.
  11. Well said, and that's coming from me - a 20 a day smoker for about 19 years now (Incidentally for those that conveniently forget, So far I've paid somewhere in the region of $31,000 in govt taxes on my filthy habit too). Regarding the Church stuff, they do give a lot out, but I think most of it is going overseas. Don't have any exact figures here but I'd agree that I'm sure more could be done. And to address a generalisation stated earlier : The argument people make is that by giving people healthcare, they are no longer free due to not taking responsibility for their actions. This of course is a incorrect statement, since sometimes it is not their actions that cause problems. Err no. For most it's actually the fact that your health is not my responsibility unless I choose to help you. The same applies to my health. For the broader topic, huffpo leapt all over it because it's great ammunition for them, but I saw it as more of a rhetorical expression of principle. Your health and with it your life should be your most treasured possession. Getting other people to carry you through life is becoming all too common though. To answer the initial question over letting someone die: Of course not, heal him up and then send him the bill later. If he can't pay, give him more time or a payment plan, there are plenty of ways of recovering debt.
  12. Yet another first person shooter - this ones just shamefully milking the name. Never played the first one but Syndicate Wars was one of the first games I ever got for the PS1. The comments from the Gamespot readers sum it up nicely imo...
  13. As for the triangles versus quads thing, the .nif export will take care of that and convert every quad into two tri's. It's generally accepted that it's better to work with quads wherever possible when building your model. (I'm sure one of the pro's here can explain why).
  14. A lot of them I can see are ports. Mostly daz/poser content, which very likely constitutes piracy.

    Prejudice

Thank you - I don't enjoy posting harshly like that but I really wish he'd just focus on the actual topics instead of willfully taking nearly every thread off on some tangent. Very good point about predjudices, though some I think we can never completely unlearn but those are ones we can try our best to override and / or treat as irrational and unfair.

    Prejudice

might of been different in the UK, but in the US civil rights were opposed by the republican party and supported by the democratic party. It would not make sense to vote democratic if you opposed civil rights. The party agenda for the republicans was to oppose civil rights, while the party agenda for the democrats was to support it. Ugh... Might have been different, not might of... Your posts are just so dishonest or flat out ignorant that I don't even bother partaking in lots of the debates here thanks to the trashy and ignorant level you for one drag them down to with posts like this. He stated clearly why he thought his Father voted democrat and it makes perfect sense unless you're a blinkered little demagogue. I'll clarify, not that I should have to since he already clearly explained : The democrats pro union stance was more important to him than their stance on minorities. Simple no? Now, back to the thread - which I think is a goner already to be honest - Everyone carries predjudices of some sort around with them, it's an unfortunate part of being Human.
  17. Fusions the way forward. Not sure but I'd heard it's actually been proven to work since the 90's or so, problem being the scale and money needed to build a viable reactor. As for green energy, meaning solar and wind here, it's great as supplemental energy and that's about it, the 3 wind turbines about 2 clicks away from where I live are taking a nap right now.
  18. Doh, hadn't really thought about the title of the thread much, Sorry!
  19. find her in the toolset and then you can edit her face, spin it around and look closer, check the tickbox to use her as a preset, then save it, thne make sure you tick your saved file in the launcher or NVMM. EDIT : If you don't know how to do all that here's an .esp http://www.mediafire.com/file/9yp21s5ax2zuz7p/laylaface.esp she's actually a caucasian raider so I had to make them playable, so just select that race in creation and she should be first female preset I think, you can make any changes you like to her in char gen.
  20. yeah, this is key in my opinion, it needs to be made very clear to them why they got that smack and that they were warned it was coming and that it's never used simply because their child bothered them when they were in a bad mood. If I pushed my mum as far as she could go, she'd aim a smack at my thigh, I was pretty nimble though so I'd just dodge her (poor mum) But then one time when she'd just had enough she kept her hand ready for that thigh slap and then called my for my Dad  so, while waiting for him to answer and seeing me gulp I can almost see her thinking "you going to try and dodge this one?" I didn't  Think I got about 10 smacks on the leg total while I was growing up and I'll say I deserved every single one of them, because I can remember each occasion pretty clearly, and that I was deliberately ignoring the chance I was being given along with the respect, good manners and reasonable telling-off beforehand.
  21. You don't have any kids, do you? I was about to say that  @Arcane What you are talking about is brutal assault and murder not physical discipline
  22. The place I'm from doesn't really exist anymore in the sense that it helped make me so I don't really consider myself from anywhere. Home is where my rucksack is currently lying really, that or my username. I'm proud of my partner for all the odds and statistics she overcomes and my parents though.
  23. I would be really tempted to deck the little peckerwood..... Of course, that WOULD be viewed as 'abuse' by the various powers that be. That kid is out of control. He needs a wakeup call. That's because he feels he's stronger and more powerful than she is. I'm with you on this one anyway. I've watched my Sister try and raise her little boy without any kind of physical discipline as a last resort through his first seven years and he was a terror :yucky: He use to hit my sister and our cat whenever he didn't get his wayIt took my Dad stepping in and giving him a little kick up the backside with a loud "See how you like it??" before he stopped hitting our cat. Of course he then tried to run over to my Sister who (relieved frankly) gave him another telling off about how that was going to happen if he was mean to animals. He never did it again and is a very nice young lad now. There's a clear line between child abuse and an occasional smack on the thigh.
  24. Funny you mentioned vegemite and Lions in the same legend there, as the creation of vegemite was supposedly due to David attempting to punch his way out of that den and accidentally getting that clenched fist stuck somewhere extremely warm and uncomfortable  Similar story behind marmite too btw - only that was some guy called Bob and some Poodles :ermm:
  25. I chose Nutella and it's chocolatey goodness  Not just to be 'a fly in the peanut butter & jelly' They put the stuff on bread out here and I approve
