  1. Try setting your max FPS to something lower. The game needs time to execute scripts, play sounds etc. 40 works well for me. This may not help but it's worth a try! Edit- Couldn't see any obvious problems in your load order but I'm not familiar with several of those mods.
  2. Just a thought here. Have you tried verifying your game files through Steam at any point? Could be a missing vanilla texture. ie replaced by mod, then mod removed or changed but original not replaced.
  3. This look would not be lore friendly in the cold vanilla Skyrim. But have you seen this mod? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/33017/? Might be what you are looking for.
  4. Check to see if your computer is running any background tasks. I usually stop my anti-virus (remember to switch it back on!), desk-top calender and any auto update utilities. If it is using the Radeon gpu you should be able to get a smooth game on low or medium settings. Post your mod load order if you are using any.
  5. Welcome back! There are loads of goodies available now. If you have been away that long you may not know about GEMS. It is a catalogue of some of the best mods available with good explanations and opinions. It will also give you some advice about which ones are compatible. Here- http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23826/? I would also suggest looking at some of the videos made by Gopher for very good advice about mods and modding. Enjoy!
  6. Agree! If you are not even getting to the load game point then scripts are not the issue. I was going to suggest verifying your game files but that will re-install Dawnguard. Sorry I cannot be more helpful.
  7. When you remove things like Dawnguard DLC and many other mods they leave behind scripts in your game save which the game tries to use. These 'orphaned' scripts cause all manner of problems. You can clean your game save using this utility. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/? This may not be a solution but it will help rule out several issues.
  8. Try re-installing Real Glaciers and make sure it is placed correctly in your load order. If you have already tried this and it didn't work then maybe you need to verify your files through the Steam pages. Second link on this page- http://s1.zetaboards.com/bbenlibrary/topic/4871296/1/#new for instructions on verifying files. Hope this helps.
  9. Before you commit to re-installing everything try using 'Save game script cleaner'. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/? It may help. If you have already re-installed then you may be able to use your old game save once it has been cleaned.
  10. This may be an issue, from your active mod list. 33 Hothtrooper44_ArmorCompilation.esp 34 Hothtrooper44_Armor_Ecksstra.esp These should be the other way round. :teehee:
  11. Don't be too keen to have a high FPS! Agree with Georgiegril, I have limited my max FPS to 40 and the game runs much smoother. It sounds counter-intuitive but you have to give the engine time to run scripts etc. For a better explanation and lots of other useful info have a look at Bbens personal site. Here- http://s1.zetaboards.com/bbenlibrary/topic/4871296/1/#new
  12. Have you tried playing with Vilja as a companion? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/26393/? She seems to cover all your requirements. Also she can be slightly annoying, just like a real partner!
  13. Agree with Chanchan. Make sure you save the zip files of your current mods and use these to rebuild your mod list. If you just re-download them they may have been updated which might cause problems. It is also worth saving your skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini files in case these have been changed from vanilla ones.
  14. Woo woo! Can't wait. I will start taking note of suitable locations. Good luck with this.
  15. Incorrect plugin order would not stop mods from showing up in your game. It would much more likely cause a crash (CTD) when you try and load the game. If the game is loading ok, then either your mods are not installed in the folder where the game expects to find them or your game is not installed where Nexus Mod Manager expects it to be! Edit- It just occurred to me that you have Skyrim.esm and Update.esm in the list, so unless you have Skyrim installed twice and are playing one copy and installing mods into the other you should see some effect from your mods, even if it is only a CTD! If you do get the mods to show up in game I would advise you to get the unofficial patches for the DLC's that you have and follow the plugin order suggested for them.
  16. And another vote for Douse That Flame! It is something that has always bugged me. Pre-endorsed!
  17. If you are using an up to date ENB try pressing shift and enter together whilst in game and you should get a set-up menu. You will find a series of check-boxes where you can deselect the options you wish to disable. I notice in your mod list that you are using Pure Waters and W.A.T.E.R. You should probably choose only one of these. My preference is Pure Waters. I also notice that you do not have the Unofficial Skyrim Patch (USKP). Some mods need USKP to work correctly. It is also worth having anyway. (imho) There are also unofficial patches for Dawnguard etc. You can find them here. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19/? Hope this helps. Edit. I agree with most of the other posters that you should probably not bother with ENB for graphics, only use ENBoost. Here. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/38649/?
  18. I think Becku meant is there a program or mod which shows all the quests you have completed and all the remaining quest which you have not yet started. I don't know of any such mod. There is a list of your achievements in the game on the Steam site which also shows uncompleted tasks but I have never really given it much attention, so I don't know if it is what you are looking for.
  19. I've noticed this too. Every now and then I come across a horse which can be ridden without stealing it. When I dismount it wanders off but when I fast travel it arrives with me and can still be ridden. This character has never owned a horse!
  20. I recently gave up on XP and installed Win 7. I was able to use my old save with the new installation but I had to have the exact same mod list as before, no more, no less! Good advice from Shubal about turning off auto saves and using new save slots. Edit. If you re-downloaded any of your mods they may be newer versions than the save is expecting. I had kept all the old mod zip files and used them. Then I updated the mods once I had a stable game.
  21. Get a couple of cats! I rarely get to play for more than 45 mins before one of mine sits between me and the monitor and demands attention. :verymad:
  22. Just wanted to add to the list of things we didn't notice were annoying until someone pointed them out. Have you noticed the fact that the moons themselves are not lit correctly according to the position of the sun?
  23. Don't be disheartened, you have a response! I can't be any help with your idea as my modding skills are very limited but I have been thinking about a flying mod. I wanted to create a rudimentary hang-glider (perhaps made from dragon skin and bones), which could be used to descend from mountains. It would be carried in your inventory and then equipped. If there is a way to actively control the gravity effect on the player it could be linked to the up/down look angle to control rate of decent. The steering/bank angle then controlled with normal movement input. As I say, this is beyond my skills but maybe it triggers some ideas for you. Hope you get more replies, I have posted ideas occasionally and got no responses!
  24. Just wanted to add my voice to the calls for this. Great idea for a mod!
