I replaced the default fight music by some lore-unfriendly ones, you can do it easily by installing the mp3's you like in Data\Music and naming them the same than the vanilla files (for example battle_07) for the battle musics. Among others I love listenning to a closed version of this north-korean propaganda song, "Long distance" from "The revenge of Shinobi" and this excellent version of Pirate of the Carribeans theme

Did you check if you are overencumbered? Otherwise disable a group of mods, start the game, check if the problem persists, disable another group. I suggest beginning by Oblivion_Character_Overhaul.esp & OblivionReloaded.esp

Help with leveled lists
Oblivionaddicted replied to chrismcelroy1's topic in Morrowind's Troubleshooting
Check if their class allows them to sell all the items you gave them. Create a chest and determine its owner by double-clicking on it in the render-window. For an instant respawn give a number with a - before.- 6 replies

Question re "Marauder" Guards
Oblivionaddicted replied to zymurgy65's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
To be more precise: in the vanilla game only a NPC with the guard class can arrest you, this comes from dialog filters which are a third-party element. -
I didn't need to include my Oblivion directory anywhere to make it work.

You can easily create your own mesh file as long as the pieces you want aren't merged with some you don't want. Do you want to know more?

What changes do you make to defaults for new games?
Oblivionaddicted replied to TheMastersSon's topic in Oblivion's Spoilers
Change the controls Set the timescale to real-time -
Oblivion and (in the disorder) Total overdose, Morrowind, X-Wing Alliance and GTA San Andreas.

When did the problem appear? If you don't find you can also do it a more basic way: disable a group of mods (for example 10) run the game, check if the problem persists if yes disable another group of mods etc, when the problem has disappeared reactivate some of the mods in the latest desactivated group until you find the culprit. Your problem can also come from all the mods depending on one you modified.

Oh Modryn, where art thou?
Oblivionaddicted replied to zymurgy65's topic in Oblivion's Mod troubleshooting
If you play on PC you could fix it using a setstage code. -
Yes you can create new classes. If you absolutely want to change the vanilla game you will have to change the equipment/leveled listsitems of all the NPC's of the alterd class which will likely take a long time. The other big issue is any mod that uses NPC's of the same class is likely to conflict/be incompatible with yours. You'd better create new NPC's and give them your custom class to avoid any incompatibility with other mods.

Question re "Marauder" Guards
Oblivionaddicted replied to zymurgy65's topic in Oblivion's Discussion
The marauder's class has the heavy armor and blade skills among its primary ones. Since the imperial legionnaires all use a heavy armor and a sword this ensures these skills increase with their level. You shouldn't confuse it with the faction belonging which is totally independant. Giving a guard the marauder class doesn't prevent him at all behaving as a guard. -
You can do it very easily if you're familiar wit the CS: right-click on the said item, choose "info",remove it from any leveled-list on NPC equipment with the "remove" button. The next part is the way you want the player to get it and there are several options: -you can add it somewhere as-is or in a container -add it in a merchant's chest so the player needs to buy it -add it in the player's inventory when the game starts or after some conditions are met -give it through a dialog are I maybe forgot some. Which one do you prefer?

Oblivionaddicted replied to ionoblivion's topic in Oblivion's Oblivion Construction Set and Modders
To say it shortly "run on target" is used for all the conditions concerning the person talking with the NPC you give the dialog. For example if you give a NPC an option to make the player sell him several items simultaneously through a dialog you need to use the "run on target" for the "getitemcount" filter since the person who needs to have the said item is not the talking NPC. -

I don't have Windows 10 but to make it work I copied javaw in the program directory, had to change my registry to set my java version as 1.7 and also needed my game to have a registry key.
