The only thing that bothered me about MZ were the little aliens who had the forcefield thing or whatever it was. Many of the fights turned into me standing there shooting like 5 BAZILLION rounds while hes standing there shooting at me.
It was like two people with machine guns blasting eachother within 10 feet for 15 minutes straight. To me that was the only thing that really bothered me.
All in all I give it an 8/10

Ive been playing Fallout Tactics a lot lately (addictive haha) and I love the Power Armor in that game. Its pretty awesome looking, way cooler than the Power Armor in Falliut 3 IMO lol.
Is it possible to create that Power Armor and get it into Fallout 3???
I know finding good screenshots of what it looks like might be tough but I think I can do it if needed.
Any takers??? :D

What about the Pipboy companion?
For extra fun, get a trainer and set your character's dodge rating very high. Put him in the center of a bunch of angry minigun wielding supermutants. Enjoy. ;)
Haha oh already did that one. I set his STR and to 12 and carry weight to like 500, had 500 AC. I sent him into enemy thick areas with the Browning 50 cal and laughed as he mowed erveryone over haha. Good times lol.
How do you get the pipboy companion?

AH yes Risen, I believe this is JoWood's redemption for the technical flop that was Gothic 3 (I still love youre games though!!!)
I have to admit that the graphics in Gothic 3 blew me away, not really the way the NPCs and characters looked (they looked like silly puddy) but the way the game world looked. Talk about a great looking game haha, Gothic 3 was it. Had a wonky fighting system that almost ruined it for me, but whatever still a great game.
I hope that JoWood did put the same amount of craftsmanship and attention to detail as they did for the Gothic series.
I havent tried the demo, nor do I have money to buy it since Im jobless right now :(
But knowing JoWood and the all the work and attention to detail they put into the Gothic series, I think Risen is going to be 100% awesome :)
Bethesda should take some notes haha on how to a deeply immersive RPG :D

So I picked up the fallout trilogy at Wal-mart the other day for like 20 bucks. And Since Im pretty bored with all my games at the moment I figured Id give some old school games a run.
Well I gotta say Fallout Tactics is awesome haha. Theres a few things here and there that bother me about it but other than that it was really easy to learn how to play. Already beaten it a couple times, going on my third win lol.
Anyone else played it? Know any good easter eggs??? haha

Haha yea pretty much it seems lol. Like I said I dont hold much expectation for PC gaming anymore. Even with all seven of the patches I get rampant CTDs with Fallout 3. I could be running around, CRASH! Shoot someone, CRASH! Exit a buidling, CRASH!
Lol its almost funny haha
It didn't help that the the patches seem to be more about setting the game up for the DLC than patching the game
Yea that too. Whenever I download a patch for anygame I like to read the channel log to see what the patch fixes and adjusts. Just curious about it all I guess lol. But I noticed the channel logs on Beths website for fallout 3 only say that it added acheivements. Bit freakin whoop lol.
I guess having a channel log with nothing in it is how they do things there or something lol.

Im still skeptical on Diablo 3, much of the actual game fotage Ive seen resembles WoW, and if it does become exactly that, then I will lost all hope for PC gaming entirely.

Lol now that I think about it, Im glad I wont be around in the civilian world to see the next overblown and under delievered line of games to hit the market lol.
I will say, the outlook for PC gaming is grim at best imo.

I think "Oblivion with Guns" is probably the best compliment Fallout 3 could receive. Why? Because Oblivion is such an awesome game. In my opinion Fallout 3 took all the best parts of Oblivion and then expanded on them by adding those guns, the apocalyptic wasteland world, great side quests (the main quest does kinda suck balls) and better visuals just to name a few of the improvements. For a small example of the better graphics, just look at the face models of characters in Oblivion and then look at them in Fallout 3. Faces look much better and that goes for just about everything in Fallout 3.
I do agree that Fallout 3 is not a difficult game to play after you get past level 5, but it's easy enough to find mods that will definitely increase the difficulty. I am pretty sure Bethesda counted on us players making modifications to that effect from the beginning and that's why they didn't make it any harder.
What could be better than Oblivion with guns? In my view, Nothing.
Oblivion had its flaws too my friend. Level scaling was one was one of them. Along with the lack of lore basic artifacts from the Elder Scrolls universe. That bothered me to no end.
Please note Im in no way bashing Beth for being lazy in aspects of both Oblivion and Fallout 3, but just because they know there is a huge community of modders for these games doesnt mean they should cut corners.
Look at Oblivion from Morrowind
1. Painfully limited dialogue and non-essential NPC interaction.
2. Oblivion featured only Light and Heavy armor variants where as Morrowind featured 4 (Unarmored, Light, Medium, and Heavy)
3. Oblivions arsenal was meager at beast compared to Morrowinds arsenal. Example, no crossbows, no spears, no halberbs.
4. The skill tree from Morrowind to Oblivion was also gutted. Example: No Medium Armor skill, No axe skill, no enchant skill, no unarmored skill, no short blade skill.
5. Level scaling was also an major annoyance. Having to hack away at one enemy for like 5 minutes straight with a Daedric Artifact weapon is not fun at all.
Now while I do feel that Oblivion was horribly dumbed down (lets face it, its a game a child can master), I do fully agree that it is a great looking game. However, a shiney paint job does not invalidate shotty game design.
As for Fallout 3, same thing applies. Its a game that can be mastered by a child. Now keep in mind that I played Fallout 3 before I played Fallut 2 and Fallout: Tactics. Fallout 3 features a fraction of the content that Fallout: Tactics displayed. Yes Fallout 3 is a great looking game, and all the player animation and interation is serious step up from Oblivion, but its still lacking in my opinion.
I have to say, that without the modding community, I would have been done with both Oblivion and Fallout 3 long ago lol.
My only hope is that the next Elder Scrolls wont have to rely on the modding community to fix it.

Yea "Oblivion with guns" is a pretty accurate description haha.
I never Played Fallout 2 or Fallout: Tactics until way after I bought Fallout 3 last december.
Just like with Oblivion from Morrowind, I really feel like that game was "dumbed down" or over simplified.
Lol In Fallout: Tactics im running around with a .50 Cal Browning and a Pancor Jackhammer lol. Fallout 3 doesnt have anything like that.
Yes mods do fix that little problem, but why is it that we have to fix a game?

Fallout 3 on "very hard" difficulty was an utter joke. Just throwing that one out there lol.
But needless to say I love the game and play it all the time.
I saw Fallout: Tactics at the store and decieded to get it.
Started playing and I gotta say, after seeing all the stuff in Fallout 2, Fallout: Tactics, I gotta ask, what happened to all the choice of weaponry in Fallout 3? What happened to all the different chems and first aid kits? What happened to all the perks and traits???
Anyone else play Fallout 3 and totally agree?
Also, Im getting my butt kicked in Fallout: Tactics haha. Had to kick it down to "easy" difficulty on account of I kep getting exploded haha

Lol so many easter eggs and so little time haha.
One thing though the random encounters with monsters and stuff is ridiculous. Like Ill get stopped 10-20 times in one square with messages "Do you wish to encounter Muntants" or whatever create is in the area. Makes exploring EXTREMELY tedious.
