  1. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY ACTUAL SUGGESTIONS AS TO WHAT SETTINGS I SHOULD TWEAK I MEAN OVERHEATING AS IN MY FAN IS GETTING TOO LOUD FOR ME.
  2. Alright. What I should have said was I would prefer them both running below 60 degrees. That's really what I meant. It is overheating, I have quite a few programs that I use to check.
  3. I knew that already, thanks. But I disagree, I'm not sure what you mean by CPU is cooked at 70 degrees, which is an ostentatiously incorrect claim. But anyhow, aside from background processes, what settings best ease CPU load?
  4. Does anyone know exactly turning down exactly what aspects of skyrim can lighten the CPU load? I heard shadows are processed by the CPU in Skyrim so I turned that to minimum, but it doesn't seem to help. Probably because I might be wrong that shadows are CPU-processed. The problem is just that I'd like my CPU and GPU to run below 60, that's basically it. And only my CPU goes above 60
  5. I look up alch smithing and enchanting mods, but some of them feel strange, and some, i'm not sure if it's a good idea to use... Does anyone just have suggestions that make the three categories more... sensible? The thing is that in vanilla, those three skills don't feel well-integrated and you have to go out of your way to do things- erm, well I'm sure you all have an idea of what I mean. Could anyone give me suggestions for any mods that make ASE (alchemy, smithing, enchanting) any more immersive/easier or intuitive?
  6. For some reason in pure vanilla skyrim, I just reinstalled it, has these strange walking issues. When I turn on caps, and walk, (I use a keyboard), when my character turns let's say from W to WD, or just if I turn from W to D, the turning animation is instant. There's no 0, 1, 2, 3, 4... etc. to 45 degrees of a turn, no, I just turn from zero degrees and I snap to 45 degrees. There is absolutely no performance problem here, I'm starting to wonder if it's a keyboard problem, possibly. If I press W, release, then press D very quickly, it works fine, but not otherwise. Would it help if I took a video or something? This is totally different from running, because when you run, you actually turn from one direction to another. I'm wondering if everyone has this, because this is literally 100% vanilla. The same happens for swimming, etc. HOWEVER, if I'm overencumbered, when I turn left and right when walking, for some reason the animation is perfectly smooth. Same case for swimming when overencumbered. Can someone test this to verify? Thanks. This has been a problem for me... I think since I got skyrim?
  7. Like... I wish we could just fix Skyrim's engine instead, just directly... So that it wouldn't crash, or at least make it load a second chunk better...?
  8. The Nexus, notably Skyrim's mods is a multinational thing. This isn't meant to be patronizing at all, which would be wrong. I'm not declaring English as superior, but many mod authors are only able to communicate in their mods through google translate, which is an issue. The Nexus should work on providing support for modders who can only use google translate to communicate. There should be a voluntary translation thing- While always important to note that english is not the world's most superior language, since this website is english-based, and mod authors do their best to communicate in english, the Nexus should do its best to provide optional support for them. I'll be the first, I speak terrible Spanish, but I'm fluent in Mandarin. Suggestions, opinions?
  9. Sometimes I find that during fights, it's unavoidable to accidentally harm an NPC and then incur a crime bounty. Is it just something wrong with me or is there a fix to thsi?
  10. I often accidentally attack citizens during combat. Ie, firebolt hits a bandit and a citizen. Thus, for some reason then I accumulate a bounty. Is there a mod for this issue?
  11. I just tried out SSME finally, it works great, thanks.
  12. For me Skyrim can often get suck on ILS' or just freeze and refuse to respond. I find using task manager to close Skyrim difficult, so Create a shortcut named C:\Windows\System32\taskkill.exe /f /fi "status eq not responding" Some of you who don't run W8 might not have this problem as bad as I do- And for sake of opening the shortcut while not being able to see your desktop, put it on your taskbar. Press windows key + corresponding number the shortcut is at to open the shortcut to run the program after you alt-tab once or a few times. This will close absolutely anything that is not responding.
  13. Lol Oh god that is hardcore as hell XD That's just intentional torture lol
  14. There are a few mods that change the player summon cap, like http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/6093/? But I was thinking there should be a mod that increases the magic requirement for each sucessive summon. This would make things easier. So for example, this would improve the perking system too. Either create a default y=2x mana summon relationship, so every successive summon takes two times more mana, which isn't the best solution, because then the order of summons matters, so dremora lord vs familiar etc. Or by perk, decrease the amount of mana needed to summon more creatures. By default the summon cap is removed, but by whatever arbitrary number, in your early levels your mana is insuficcient to summon more than one creature. The first summon let's say takes X mana, and the second summon is x^2, or 2x, 3x, 4x, etc etc. But by the end, you're able to summon more than a few weak creatures, like 3-4 familiars and maybe two dremora lords. (Because they're OP already). Anyways.
  15. It was originally http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/21038/? But now it's gone? There are mods left as residue, but that's it. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23337/?
  16. Sorry, this is totally useless but I have to say that's a hilarious mod you're working on.
  17. Hum... Sorry, I thought every hold had a stable in Vanilla? I'm not sure I understand you... I highly doubt it would be worth it finding a mod that would add a stable DIRECTLY in the college. But anyways, with making horses and carriages easier to find and hire, I think you mean that there should be more stables and carriages, ALL across Skryim, because all the holds have them already, right? Well I swear there must have been a mod that did that, which I'm sorry I have no idea if it really does exist, but I suggest finding a better mod to call your horse up more easily and in a less confusing way. But about adding more horses and carriages, sorry I have no response, You'll just have to see if someone else does.
  18. Oh god. But I'm so sure this happens to me in vanilla Skyrim.....
  19. Well, partially, I'm also wondering if EVERYONE has this problem, basically when I press caps lock to walk, for some reason the turning isn't smooth. okay well you know, when you run, (not sprinting), you hold W, then hold D as well, you turn and start walking 45 degrees? Well basically when I walk, there isn't a turning animation, my character just directly changes walking direction. But the thing is if I'm overencumbered the turning animation is there perfectly fine. Does anyone else have this issue?
  20. Huh.. Disable all of the USP's for a moment, sometimes those cause horrifying problems, and really don't fix as much as they're worth the trouble for. Now that's a pretty weak CPU, you've never had this problem before, right? Disable Populated Lands Roads Paths.esp Disable all your relevant "Immersive whiterun, windhelm, etc files" What's OBIS.esp? You can probably decide whether to disable it. If none of those things work, then your last resort is to disable EVERYTHING, and then one by one, or group by group enable and test again and again. Just a note, it's much easier to click the first mod, hold shift and click the last one if you didn't know that, to disable all plugins. Um disable all those patrol mods. Those can cause issues with their scripts. Wait so you mean, that some saves have this issue, and after a while every save will get messed up like this and CTD? Oh and what settings are you playing on? High, medium, or ultra?
  21. There should be a mod that only allows fast travel to holds and important locations for the immersion, instead of entirely disabling fast travel. I prefer staying at a city momentarily before disembarking for a dungeon, for example.
