  1. I use to have all comments turned off cause I found over-obsessing on how much exposure I was getting distracting but when I did turn them on alot of angry "release this" comments came through a year later. Sometimes people make something and then realize it isn't for them, plenty of other cool interests out there but after your first year, I think then you know it's your jam. Good on you though for trying to encourage people, we need more supportful creators. I always see reoccuring names in mod images and I often let them know how I value their work whether they release it or not.
  2. +Added a small visual chart to communicate the statistics simpler in the original post. Peep sight is something you either love or hate, but now I'm a lover. In a way, it makes you concentrate on the target like a scope would. Oh yeah, During my .357 only run I ended up having something like 3,000+ rounds (but this was with buying out stores, selling ammo I didn't need and actively using the reloading bench mechanic) I had quite the collection of the special ammunition too! One of the service rifle's selling points, you can spam the absolute hell out of it, it'd be even crazier if it was an automatic.
  3. Thank you kindly both of you!
  4. As soon as you reach Primm you have the opportunity to pick up two of the game's most widespread rifles, one used famously by the Legion and the other in the hands of almost every NCR trooper. a beatup repeater can be found under the sheriff's bed whilst a service rifle can be yoinked from any trooper in the area. They both use a few pretty useful attachments and can both serve different purposes depending on what you value more. Damage per second? Ammunition Capacity? Sight Picture? Ease of use and Weight. Here's some stats I pulled from the wiki for your convenience; Legend: Green means the comparison is better, Yellow means it's a shared stat, Red means it's worse. Cowboy Repeater Guns Skill: 25 Strength Required: 4 Weight: 5lb Value: 800 (More expensive to buy repairs!) Ammo Capacity: 7 Durability: 120 (595 rounds before breaking) Damage: 32 (46 w/ all perks) Damage per second: 54.2 (109.2 w/ all perks) Crit. Damage: 32 (1.25x multipler) Fire Rate: 1.7 seconds (2.4 w/ all perks) Action Points: 27 Spread: 0.06 - Perks Level 8 (Guns 45 + Melee Weapons 45) Cowboy (+8 Damage) Level 6 Bloody Mess (+1.6 Damage) Challenge Perk (Kill up to 200 -> 700 -> 1000 enemies, 1,900 in total) Lord Death (+1.3 Damage) Level 50 (Very Good/Good Karma) Thought You Died (+3.2 Damage) Trait Fast Shot (+0.3 Fire Rate) Level 50 (Evil/Very Evil Karma) Ain't Like That Now (+0.3 Fire Rate) Level 2 (30 Guns + 5 Agility) Rapid Reload (-0.1s Reload Speed) - Modifications Maple Stock - Decreases weight by 1.5 (to 3.5) Long Tube - Adds +4 ammo capacity (to 11) Custom Action - Increases rate of fire by 20% Service Rifle Guns Skill: 25 Strength Required: 2 Weight: 8.5lb Value: 540 Ammo Capacity: 20 Durability: 400 (1,995 rounds before breaking or 2,995 rounds w/ Forged Receiver) Damage: 18 (25.9 w/ all perks) Damage per second: 75.6 (152.4 w/ all perks) Crit. Damage: 18 (1.0x multipler) Fire Rate: 4.2 seconds (5.9 w/ all perks) Action Points: 15 Spread: 0.55 - Perks Level 8 (Guns 45 + Explosives 20) Grunt (+4.5 Damage) Level 6 Bloody Mess (+0.9 Damage) Challenge Perk (Kill up to 200 -> 700 -> 1000 enemies, 1,900 in total) Lord Death (+0.7 Damage) Level 50 (Very Good/Good Karma) Thought You Died (+1.8 Damage) Trait Fast Shot (+0.8 Fire Rate) Level 50 (Evil/Very Evil Karma) Ain't Like That Now (+0.8 Fire Rate) Level 2 (30 Guns + 5 Agility) Rapid Reload (-0.5s Reload Speed) - Modifications Upgraded Springs: +30% rate of fire. Forged Receiver: +50% condition. Note concerning the unique variants: Both rifles have variants in the La Longue Carabine and Survivalist Rifle, whilst both boast higher damage there's a difference in cartridge which changes the role they provide. The Carabine has a scope effectively turning it into a sniper rifle whilst the Survivalist has the 12.7mm but with no scope leaning more towards becoming a battle rifle. Not to mention the DLC requirement so I won't be comparing them. Personal Assessment: The service rifle was my original go to, partly for asethetics but I enjoyed the high durability and ammunition capacity, more recently though I've favoured the Repeater. I'm willing to repair it more often and suffer the 'Peep sight' which can be obstructive reducing spacial awareness but this can be mitigated by practice. Both rifles can serve you well into the mid to late game as long as you have the skills and perks to keep boosting them. I included a poll for fun too and incase the stats are boring to read through, a made a small visual "at a glance" chart.
  5. Sure does sound like it, welcome back to you too! Thank you!
  6. Well your avatar seems to have updated for me now too, same as image but zoomed out slightly but the quality is higher. all these avatars seem to be 100x100px so maybe it'd help faster loading if you uploaded as such instead of something higher.
  7. Ok now it's working, what did you do? Lower the resolution? Oh and mine is updated too what the hay
  8. That must be one invisible werewolf cause I've never seen you with anything but the nexus logo. Also no change for me yet, I'm gunna look back at the method again cause it says successful but who knows maybe the file size is secretly too big.
  9. I just updated mine and nothing has changed yet. I guess it may take a minute or two to update globally. I guess the file size allowed has increased too right? the resolution of most user's images look quite poor in this new forum format xD
  10. Companions can't use it, it's really only helpful for our human eyes. There is no damage or accuracy boost from it either so the added effect is null.
  11. I would just want it to be on the west coast again, seems like more action happens over there for the Fallout universe, or a wild card, set it in China.
  12. same, its fine now but for a moment it was MASSIVE. like 4x the size. Also the about section on nexusmods (not the forum) is blank.
  13. The Prem and Supporter icons under the profile picture are HUGE.
  14. Perhaps it's from a Sprinting mod you may have installed? (Assuming judging from the clearly modded room in the image attached) and the quest completed let's you know that it's functioning correctly. I've checked the wiki so I know it isn't base game content, I have 1,000+ hours myself too. Does the quest not have any information on the pipboy for steps completed to get this?
  15. Well this exists, if you wanted a plasma variant that'd be a cool small project to do and surely hasn't been done before. Hi babe
  16. I don't play nearly as much as I use to do, partly cause of other interests but mainly because I've found higher value in making stuff others can play and enjoy rather than to sit alone in singleplayer. I'm always thinking of new ideas, I'll just leave the playtesting to someone else. Despite seemingly being the youngest in this thread (I began with a Playstation 1 haha), I've been going through the same two and a half year cycles of having a gaming friend group but then slowly it dissolves. Last time I played a game was 8 days ago, I struggled to play more than an hour before uninstalling again. It's okay for a little bit but I highly doubt I'll be doing my 10 hour sprees or hitting thousands of hours like I use to. Some games like MMOs I realized I was only there for the social factor/community whilst the gameplay itself was pretty repetitive, when I had that social meter (Sims terminology) filled, I didn't need it as much anymore.

    NSFW?

It can also include extreme violence/gore, profanity and swearing despite it being a 18+/mature rated game. Sexually provocative content can be mods with 'Skimpy' outfits like underwear or bikinis, Nudity/No clothes at all or like Showler said, nothing you'd want your work boss or customers to witness. There is an entire article for the definition of NSFW found here Conversely you may encounter the term SFW, which is "Safe for Work" meaning the opposite. If you wish to avoid NSFW mods, Go to Nexusmods, Top right of the screen and select "Site Preferences" at the bottom of the dropdown, they'll be a tab called "Content Blocking" where you can hide Adult Content with the first option or choose to blur if you don't want to be surprised whilst searching.
  18. Some games barely have any posts at all so I guess only the most popular games will get a club. We're unable to make clubs ourselves right? Say I wanted there to be a Fallout 3 club but none currently exists, how'd that work exactly. What would deem a club viable for existance.
  19. Gosh dang it you guys xD I just wanted to look on the bright side! I'll give it a few months before comparing the changes between updates. I'm happy to see a few memorable faces though!
  20. I'd look into xEdit or the new FNVEdit for creating and editing effects for armor since sometimes the base GECK lacks the amount of control you should have. I know when it comes to editing skill values for perks, they just don't show. Also the usual, make sure your mod's .esp is active in your mod manager too and archive invalidation is checked.
  21. Simply put. Atomic Age + Wild West strikes that Space Cowboy vibe synergizes so well like old meets new. Also found elsewhere in the Fallout franchaise but the take on it in FNV as additional theme on top of the already expansive universe, there's alot to bite into on top of the wealth of writing that is there. Modding is just icing on the cake. Both Fallout 3 and New Vegas' DLC make me feel like I've gone on a journey or party and returning to where-ever my home is setup with a bunch of loot weighing me down, it's just a feeling which never gets old for me. The long way round to reach the strip is also a journey. You build up your character on the way that when you do get there, you feel well travelled, well armed and wanting that period of relaxation that only the strip can provide as an oasis in the wasteland. So much more I could say, there's just alot of feelings.
  22. Doesn't ring a bell, some additional questions though: What platform are you playing on? If on PC, Do you have any mods installed? Are you sure it was a quest completed or just an achievement pop-up. I'm going to flip through the wiki to check now.
  23. We have the ability to look at our 'mod download history', maybe you could flip through that?
  24. In the event they can't be transferred, I just had a good think and flip through my past screenshot comments for those who I've interracted with the most. Since you know, friends should be those most memorable and had connections with. Fairly sure most of the 100 friends I had were random anyway.
  25. Good to know and useful for others who might have read and encountered a similar issue but it's fine, the email associated is long gone so I couldn't possibly verify. Thanks for the welcome and luck though. It is much appreciated, I hope to do many more images!
