  1. chanchan...if SoT does interest you and you would like to try it out, speak to SoT's Author 'Tony'...if you give him your PC specs, Mod list, what you have done...ini tweaks, etc...you would find him to be extremely helpful. He works in the field of Computers, knows his stuff and is a generous man, has helped me above and beyond more times than I can count....I know near on nothing about PC's.... Tony would take a look at your Specs and Mod list and be able to tell you if your PC can run SoT or not and how best to get it to run smoothly and without issue.
  2. Hmmm...this looks interesting. The limitation on Bolts/Arrows and Potions (Poisons) and the rules on Perk Tree upgrades would be a HUGE challenge for me.... :ohdear: ...am wondering if I am game enough to give it a whirl.... ...I like the idea....
  3. Baloo, I have been curious, how have you been going with your combination? What have you had to change about what you do? You have gotten me curious about 'Battle and Fatigue' again...: Baloo: "You got me hooked on the idea of the bandages mod, and have been since trying it together with the Battle & Fatigue mod, and it's been a blast"
  4. Sands of Time is pretty Script intensive, but is very worth the hit if your PC can handle it (I have been using SoT since about a month after it's initial release), I have tried Skyrim without SoT a couple of times since and frankly I don't like it, all is too quiet and no surprises...SoT keeps you on the edge of your seat..... :ohdear: ...I have happily sacrificed Mods for it to keep it running smoothly, loved 'Player Headtracking', but it didn't play nice with SoT....For quite some time there I was getting 8-10 hours game play at a time CTD, stutter, lag and freeze free...I have no life... ....but yep, starting playing with my Mod list again and now crashing an hour in.... ...am trying to cut down on Cloaking Effect Mods where I can, or disabling it if given the option in MCM and working on having most Script Mods fire off a lot less, keep their activity to a dull roar, aside from SoT that is.... ....I am chasing the golden 8-10 hour capability again, but not liking my chances. I've seen the Ants Mod, I didn't even know there were Ants in Skyrim until I read that Mods description... ....finally saw my first Ants the other day in my game, vanilla game Ants. The RIFT game....yep, I tried Dungeons and Dragons also, RIFT is a little more easy to run, more pliable rules and less restrictive...The first time I was asked to GM (acting as guest GM), I drafted up a twisted Disneyland experience.... ...one of the players wanted Disneyland and so gave it to him in spades.... ...was a blast.... ....My own GM game had my players gunning for my Villain, all seeing red.... ....found a way to get their blood up, involved wiping out a Town of friends they had made.... ....had them chase him through Canada, Alaska, across to Russia and had just hit China when the game had to stop.
  5. Hey Baloo....:-) ....My choice of Mod collection all started out to compliment this Mod...: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/12452/? ...and just kind of evolved from and around that..and always looking for Mods that work together cohesively...that being said, my game has been crashing....:-(...haven't had that happen for a long time, I think too many script Mods running...I added a few to try out lately... overload...:-(...oh well, back the drawing board. What's the AIMP idea? RIFT is excellent for the fact that it caters to so many people in one game...:-)...both Fantasy and Sci-Fi fans, can let your imagination really run wild and combine everything. Merry Christmas to you too...:-)
  6. I feel the same way about how the story has been done in regards the Serana...it is still beyond me why a Vampire Hunter would not only spare Serana's life, but then also take her home. The Scroll is easier to RP, I just make sure my Dovahkin isn't far enough into the MQ to know what a Scroll looks like on sight)...I can't wrap my head around my Werewolves immediate trust in Serana, taking her home and then convincing the Dawnguard to trust her....Plus her continuing to be set essential if she refuses to cure her Vampirism at the conclusion.
  7. I like that I can set up a build any way I like, I would hate to be restricted or forced down certain paths because of my Avatar build choices...I play an agile Stealth Poisons Archer/Two Handed Light Armored Warrior, he doesn't touch or use magic including enchanted items and only uses Poisons which he creates himself (doesn't use or create Healing or Buffer Potions)....is not a Thief or Assassin, is a Warrior...Your build restrictions would certainly ruin my fun... Mods such as 'The Choice is Yours', 'Shut Up Brynjolf', 'Paarthurnax Choice Plus 3' and those you mentioned are what I am hoping Bethesda takes notice of...stop clogging up our Journals and let us reject quests with a 'quest failed' or simply not entered into our Journals would be great. And not trying to force us to join Guilds, etc...while doing the Main Quest or DLC Quests...such as the College for the Scrolls, Delphine sending you to speak to Brynjolf to find Esburn, finding out the hard way you can't drop those damned unusual Gems once you picked one up, that Vigilant of Stendarr in Markarth leaving you alone once you say 'No' or your refusal to help Molag Bal (when you tell him 'no') actually registering and failing the quest, etc...That's what I would like to see happen in the next game...not having to rely on Mods to correct the problem.
  8. The point to drinking water is Role Playing my own needs in my game.... ....I have done that for a long time and been wishing I could collect water for just as long. I tried RND just recently, uninstalled it yesterday, I had continued my usual playing style, RND reckoned my Dovahkin is a glutton... ...I RP him with a high metabolism due to the fact his a Werewolf (I infect him in Helgen), so he eats a lot and sleeps a lot....he likes his water too, doesn't drink anything but water. But I don't really see the need for an extra Mod, especially a 'script' Mod for my game when I diligently RP that factor already and so am hoping someone may be interested in creating the small Mod I am looking for.
  9. I was hoping someone may help me please? I would love to find a Mod that allows the Dovahkin to drink from water sources such as Streams and perhaps even include a Skin or Bladder Water Skin to carry water in and be able to drink from it. I know this feature can be found in some 'Needs' Mods, but after trying a couple out I don't really enjoy them...am happier with just RP'ing it myself in game....but being able to drink from a Stream and use Bladder Bags is something I would love to keep in my game.
  10. There is...though the OP gives the impression that both be removed. I will agree though it is a little disappointing to come across a Mod that interests, only to find out it supporting Mods no longer exist... I have come across that with some Fallout Mods.
  11. There are quite a number of those "dead" Mods that are still completely viable...I use a number myself, they have usually ended up that way by being over shadowed by their much more popular bigger brothers....there are those of us that remain though who prefer to build our games using these smaller Mods over the larger popular choices....I think loosing these smaller forgotten Mods would be a great loss for Nexus, would much prefer they remain there myself.
  12. Another Bandages Mod, though the Bandages are not quite as well thought out, is this one 'Living off the Land'...: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34813/? I reckon it compliments the can't just swig something to heal, skill buff, etc...game play and compliments 'Skyrim Bandages' nicely, due to it's added Honey Recipe for Diseases/Poisons, gotta work at healing that Poison/Disease now.... ...though I added the 'Better Bee Hives' Mod, makes finding Honeycomb and Honey a whole lot easier. Plus as a Stealth character with a realistic Sneak Mod, the Scent Masks are awesome... ...and is something I had wanted for a long time. I lost the 'Living off the Land' Mod for a while, just found it again. lol...super ninja... :D ...I wish... ...just a slippery mongrel... ....I used to play Battlefield with hubby, but then he found ARMA and I lost my Battle buddy....I was 'middling' at the game, always the single shot Shotgun with Buckshot...was my favorite...played very cavalier, my job was supplying Ammo and suicide running to provide cover...LOVED those Claymores... :woot: ....opponents hated them... :D ...was always planting them in nasty spots, nothing was more satisfying than running along and suddenly getting the message that my sneaky Claymores were working perfectly.... I haven't seen 'Fantasy Flight' before....used to play a Table Top RPG, 'RIFT' but our GM became a Daddy and the game had to come to an end....then started GM'ing my own Game but the Players had to move House too far away, they have been wanting to play again but haven't gotten around to it yet. I was looking at 'Revenge of the Enemies' myself, that looks like a brilliant Mod...but is sadly incompatible with my game... ...My Dovahkin 'Kane' is tweaked, I couldn't make a whole new Race, so just had the Nord Stats tweaked to suit him....He has altered Racial Bonus Skills (more like a Bosmer)...and dumped his Racial Power completely in favor of 'Berserker Rage' as Lesser Power....is bad tempered, literally see's 'red' when he looses his temper.... ...Now if a only a Mod would come out that would force him to transform into a Werewolf if he takes a certain percentage of damage, could get interesting then if he does the Civil War Quest... :D
  13. I like SkyRe, tried it once but found I much preferred building my game piece meal over using a complete overhaul. I have found in regards to Offensive/Defensive play for best survival to use both...situation-ally dependent...can never afford to get surrounded, that's suicide... ....so need to force the opponents to string out and line up (running a lone wolf Dovahkin)...I generally find fights begin playing defensively (Bow/Crossbow), having to back up and fight off the back foot to avoid flankers and forcing all melee NPC's to form a line in front of you and the further you can force them to string out the better, that's when I switch to a combination of Offensive/Defensive, still off the back foot (ensuring never getting surrounded) but relentless and brutal attack on the nearest NPC...(Bow/Crossbow/Sword). As for a singular NPC or groups lined up in tunnels, on bridges, etc... (Sword) yup, completely offensive, brutal.and a whole lot of fun....
  14. Baloo...the Skyrim Bandages are my secret to his healing... ....but he has to break out of battle and get himself somewhere safe to apply them...usually up the nearest Boulders or sidle down the side of a Cliff Face where his opponents can't reach him....the Bandages work slower than a Healing Potion, but faster than regen...once he is healed enough then he charges back into battle. A friend slowed the vanilla regen down for me, but it's not completely gone, is worthless enough to keep me happy though... The Perma-Death isn't as bad as it sounds, I have only lost him once and had to restart game from the beginning. As I mentioned in my list... "Armor Perk Trees Redone - Light Armor (all about agility for me)"...he very rarely actually takes any damage, very rarely gets hit....in toe to toe battle he circles opponents continuously, stealth rolls to avoid hits, Front Flips, Bow Bashes, etc...is a greased pig... ...a real pain in the *ss to catch and pin down... ...most battles he comes out of without a scratch...only once or twice has his health dropped below half....it's easy to dodge incoming Arrows and Bolts also, just keep an eye on their Archers, you see where their aiming when they shoot and dodge out of the way. I have seen that Death Penalty Mod, it's a good alternative to death...if he starts dying more, I would use that mod... Yep, when he runs through Bandit/Giant Camps to stir the pot and get himself a small army, he pretty much does sit back and crack a cold one... :D ....finds himself a safe comfortable posie on the other side and watches the action, pulls out his Bow and just leisurely starts to pick them all off while they battle it out between themselves.... :D I had a Blood Mod...can't remember the name now, but let it go to take a little pressure off the game...I kinda miss it...A good one though is HeartBreaker...brilliant kill move Mod for a bloody death animation.... Funny that I prefer slow sedate play, but when it comes to stand up sword fighting the faster it is the better I seem to do in the survival stakes...odd thing....DCR7 was the best thing that happened to me... I don't have a PS3...am going to google the game now, you have me curious...
  15. You should also search for Fishbiter's RND Tweaks mod. It changes some of the penalties that RND puts on you into something that feels more realistic. For example, in vanilla RND, as you get tired, carrying capacity decreases, which is weird IMO. With Fishbiter's Tweaks, movement speed decreases as you get tired. That WOULD kill my guy...lol...his Nemesis has already been set as running a little faster than him, he wouldn't survive the experience if he gets caught...Though I would debate being slowed down by fatigue if your life was in peril, is amazing what the body can find in itself when in desperate circumstances....I would probably prefer blurry vision over anything for high fatigue.
  16. Baloo... "My preference is Duel Combat 5 7 ended up too fast for me" Funny thing, I stacked DCR7 with Fighting Styles of Tamriel...lol....makes for even faster Swordsmanship....but then again I used to learn the Samurai Sword and became highly agitated with my Dovah swinging his Sword (Celtic Katana) around like it was a 10 Ton Battle Axe...the Katana is a fast weapon...it does go both ways in my game though... ...those damned Bandits are just as fast with their Swords. Yup, I wouldn't mind one of those MIB toys, would be handy now...I need my Dovah lost once in a while...
  17. Have just had a nosey at Immersive Archey...looks good, but I think it would drive me insane... ...he doesn't creep around with Bow drawn, but I take my sweet time lining up long distance shots...am a slow player. Yeah, i agree with you there, i also like to take my time in Skyrim, enjoying the sights&sounds, getting immersed ... and well, just lost  love Random Alternative Start for this, great for starting every time, and i don't use the map to find where the hell they just plonked me (something like 200 different spawn points the author created) LOL...sadly, I think I have played Skyrim so much by now, i recognize every inch of that land... ...was looking at the no Map Mods (no markers), but thought pretty pointless for me now, I don't look at the Map anymore as it is...
  18. No problem there Chanchan, he re-news his food about twice a day, is on constant rotation with it...easy to do on his diet....have just installed RND. Yes, I have seen Gophers videos, they in fact were what got me thinking about Frostfall again not so long ago, watching Frostfall in action in his game. Am currently reading Frostfalls info pages.
  19. Have just had a nosey at Immersive Archey...looks good, but I think it would drive me insane... ...he doesn't creep around with Bow drawn, but I take my sweet time lining up long distance shots...am a slow player.
  20. Subliminal Traps and Killing Traps look interesting, I think I will grab those myself... I run at any one time between 80-90 esp's, always trying to keep things to a dull roar for perfect performance and only use Mods I REALLY want to use for RP, challenge and beauty (very few texture mods, I let the ENB take care of most of that). I would guess I am just over cautious as I very rarely have problems with my game and get about 60 fps if I remember rightly (the last time I looked). Sadly i can't tell you the PC system i am running, I know that little about PC's, but it's been looked at by a Modder/PC Builder friend on here and apparently it's a very impressive serious Gaming PC...was built for me by a friend. I will definitely drop Frostfall and Realistic Needs and Diseases into my game and see how I go....have just been re-building my Mod list to start a new Game...updating Mods, etc...so is a good time. My main concern with Food recognition has been this Mod...: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30695/? Is my Dovahkin's primary food source and perfect for his RP...keeps his meat fresh too, there are a lot of Bandits, constant food supply... Yes, it is the same RND Mod we are talking about.
  21. doing that without backing up the INSTALL INFO folder makes all mods that were shown as installed makes them show uninstalled on the new update....i learned that the hard way lol Damn!... :pinch: ...thanks for the heads up... ...Good thing I guess I was about to go through a major Mods overhaul anyway, just sped that up...
  22. Oh okay, I didn't know that, I thought it was only while he was in Werewolf Form itself that I could sate his hunger with that diet....thanks for the heads up... ...will go take another look. I use a number of Cloak Spell Mods, such as Duel Combat Realism and about three others and two Script intensive Mods, that's been my concern with Frostfall, but will see if my Rig can handle it, though as far as I am aware, it's not so much the PC's specs, but the GB limitation from Bethesda on the Skyrim game? I am not computer savvy by a long shot....
  23. Thank you TenderHooligan... 1) Merciless Beginnings... http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/20334/? ....Is simple, basic and delivers. 2) I like it, it works as I was looking for...still amazing healing, but gotta accept some impossibilities in a Game to be playable... ...need to be a patient Gamer though, as it is slower to heal and so have to wait it out, need to make sure your in a safe place to apply. There is another Bandages Mod I am aware of, but it doesn't allow you to apply if there are hostiles nearby, I couldn't work with that....I just have my man Mountain Goat to a position where he can't be reached, he loves cliff sides and high Boulders... ...to see to his Medical needs and all's sweet....The only downside I guess is the patience required, but am fine with that myself. I am very attached to my character... ...the only real problems are your Archers and Crossbow opponents....but if you either keep terrain and obstacles between you and them or keep an eye on what they are doing, they are easy enough to dodge their incoming's and never let Melee opponents flank or surround you, always fight off the back foot and taunt them into dropping their guard by circling them and bashing them, keeping just out of reach yourself, if more than one opponent keep the one your going toe to toe with between you and his mates at all times and be relentless in your bashes and attacks...unless some mongrel Boss hits you in the back with a Fus-Ro-Dah Bow while your dealing with the other Boss and leaves you sprawled at the other Boss's feet, he hits you with his seriously OP Sword and you end up scrambling to your feet and sprinting for your life on a tiny sliver of health... ...that sux... ...As I mentioned, my dude rarely takes any damage, have only lost him the once, and that was embarrassing considering it was that ridiculously weak Wood Elf Timber Miller in Ivarstead who got the killing blow in with an Iron Dagger on the Master Vamp who took my guy out.. ...I took too many chances in that fight and knew it, I was being impatient in battle and didn't pull back when I knew I should....he was so close to death I wanted to get the killing blow in on him fast...my mistake... ...damned Life Drain... ...was a good fight though....Restart game from beginning......I do tend to play the same character though, am particularly fond of his RP, appearance and back story. Edit: Oh...and if worse comes to worse in a Boss fight, hit them with the Van Helsing Crossbow dripping in Poison and drown them in it... ....is pretty much an 'I WIN!' Button.......need a lot of Bolts to take down some Bosses though, the Bolts do little damage, but their consistent and fast.
  24. Hey Chanchan....I do keep an eye on the Realistic Needs Mods such as 'Realistic Needs and Diseases', always waiting to see if they address my man's dietary choices...none of those Mods recognize what he eats (raw Humanoid flesh, etc..), otherwise I very much would use one of those Mods, I want to, but I guess there isn't much of a call for my unusual wants.... ....And so I just continue to self impose his needs until I am able to use a Mod to enhance the experience, I remain very strict about seeing to his needs in game, I suspect he may over eat and over sleep in fact... ...I figure he would have a fast metabolism for what he is and what he does. As for Frostfall...another Mod I keep watching and thinking about...just keep wondering how my game would go with the extra Scripts in place...it's definitely on my hit list and will be installing one day soon, it's very tempting.... just hoping my game remains rock solid. My ENB does Dark Dungeons for me, which is always very interesting considering my man is Stealth so avoids using Torches, etc...as much as I can manage....he moves VERY slowly through Dungeons... ...I also use CoT and have slightly darker nights....though he does have Night Eye when in Werewolf form....Have looked at Locational Damage a number of times also, but like the Armor and Weapon Break Mod, I worry about how impossible it may make his survival if UDE spawns Bosses on him when his hurt, considering he doesn't Fast Travel or ride Horses, he lives his life at jog speed getting around....but now that I think about it, I think I will try Locational Damage out, give me even more reason to work harder on his agility and dodging....thank you for the idea...
  25. Just found the NMM 0.46.0....I just hit the 'install' icon on this page and problem solved, it overwrites and updates the old NMM...: http://www.nexusmods.com/games/?
