  1. Gotta be immersive battles its just got to!!! love this game
  2. Numerous threads on this issue, Use this guide http://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Make_Skyrim_Vanilla_Again ^this will give you a clean install Run this tool if you want to use an old save http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/52363/? ^this is paramount if you insist on using an older save with a different list of mods, an idea I would not suggest at all. but run the script cleaner and you should be ok. But starting fresh would be the best bet. You might run into issues later on.
  3. No, I use a 512 card and by presets I'm assuming .ini tweaks right? You can change any settings you want like you did previously, but bad tweaks will lead to issues like in your screenshot and other issues. I'm not saying don't tweak, a lot of people do and they seem to be ok, just make sure you do it right. People talk about configurator a lot. You might want to look into that.
  4. Ok, all you have to do now is add your previous tweaks to the current ini. If you really want to know which "bad tweak" (although personally I think all of them are) you made add a few at a time run the game and see if it's there again, then simply do not add that tweak.
  5. Backup your skyrimprefs.ini to a safe location. Then delete the one you're currently using, run Skyrim to rebuild the .ini and see if the problem still occurs
  6. Hi you should really use google before opening a new thread. Skyrim mods are almost always at the top. I typed in your exact wording "skyrim more perks per level" first hit: ---> http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19381/?
  7. Hey Right so I know SSME basically does the same thing as Safetyload, but theres no harm in giving that a shot either right? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/46465/? Honestly I'm out of Ideas I am not as technically brilliant as Sheson or Kaeper when it comes to memory issues, I'm kind of hoping someone else has a suggestion.
  8. Ah ok sorry, there are a lot of posts where people didn't spot the sticky. I sometimes get this too, strange random numbers but nothing more than a 5% difference. I just accounted it to some other effect that is stacking, unfortunately I can safely say I can be of no use in this case, I'm not familiar with these types of problems. And have never used SPERG, which seems to be the cause. But I'm sure someone else will be able to help ya out. Sorry for the misunderstanding I skimmed through your thread
  9. Hi, there is a sticky in this section about removing magical effects from a player, look into that,
  10. Hey, ok so the title seems a bit immature and the wording is a bit meh....sorry about that The problem I'm having is that I'm quite serious about immersion, actually not really a problem but there are small quirks in the game that really get on my nerves. So here it goes. If someone could perhaps do something about the annoying comments NPC's make when "pickpocketing" them. What I mean by that is perhaps remove the comments altogether or set it to trigger on a per-relationship status. It is frustrating when I crouch in an inn, or anywhere in general, next to my best chums/buddies just to hear the whole room accusing me of being a thief, when I simply crouched down in complete innocence to see if his boots were indeed custom crafted hide splendor as he so claims. This first became blatantly apparent to me when in roleplay mode as a new up and coming hero starting my skyrim experience, I knelt afront the jarl of Whiterun, With a feeling of honor and a glitter of hope for better things to come, the kneel was glorious, a true warriors kneel in respect to the jarls that govern thy reaches with uh...such stature and authority. Just to hear the worst words imaginable to a sincere and true nord hero..HEY! get away from me! ....uttered from behind "Get away from there!" from the corner "What do you think you're doing!" So basically that is the point I'm trying to make. Is it possible? sorry for the blabber it seemed more appropriate then "hey cahn u has make theese mod that disable pickpocket talking!!!!!" Fist request btw I might have to check in on the stickys thanks guys any thoughts?
  11. Yeah my mate was having huge problems with lag/stutter too so I told him to check his task manager/show processes from all users, turns out he was running 100+ tasks. After ending the non-essential processes, his updaters/virus the problems were almost gone. Although I say this I'm not even sure if that would be considered normal, I only have 39 running skyrim included. I'm wary to close any more though. It's worth a shot. It helped at least one person out.
  12. Yup it does help, getting it to work with ENBoost is no problem though, just set the proxy and voila works like a charm. However I think it is impossible to get it to actually do what it does with a real ENB graphics enhancing preset, It hasn't got ENB implemented as of yet. Since ENBoost uses none of that it is no problem. If anyone sees this and needs help give me a quick pm I will help you get it up and running. Even if you are using more than 2 d3d9.dll's. I have finally got rid of all the stutter I was experiencing. At the root of it all was bad ENBoost tweaks/changes that happened between games, this including reservedmemorysize and the likes. as well as some serious texture compression although Everything is about half the size, yet I dont see much/any decrease in quality. I also rebuilt my INI's becasue something went awry. I am finally up to +-20FPS in "the rift" without using Hialgoboost. Seems ok, for a casual walk and sightseeing. So beautiful. In towns using the 50% version of populated towns cities villages has helped a lot. Considering I still run quite a few other NPC additions, I barely noticed the reduction, I guess I just got greedy and wanted more pockets to pick when I installed it the first time round.
  13. Hi, take a look here http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/872861-tutorial-removing-unwanted-magic-effects-from-the-player/
  14. Woah I know its massive!if you dont want to dl it then don't, rather disable your current SMIM. Remember, what I said is purely speculation I am talking from my account it may have no effect whatsoever on your game, it is pretty much all I can think of at the moment
  15. If I explore a random cave fight off the first few waves of baddies and get to the final "boss" stage and I cant beat em, even after 5,10,15, reloads I will run back out and come back again when I am more experienced and feel I am strong enough to defeat them. I get very into skyrim, cheating has no place there.
  16. Ah man it is such a big load order it could be anything, from my experience I had a similar issue as you do with SMIM, I would lag for minutes on end and then sort itself out. But I have a low end rig. You could give it a try but I doubt it.
  17. necro post here.... I'm having the same issue, using ATI Disabled AA in the launcher Disabled AA in Catalyst (allowing application to take priority) Disabled imultisample in skyrim prefs (unsure about this one) Disabled AA in ENBlocal (ENBoost) not even sure if that will do anything but I disabled it anyway. Am I missing something?
  18. Hi, see if you can find that effect here http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/872861-tutorial-removing-unwanted-magic-effects-from-the-player/
  19. In FNIS, there is tick box for all the mods you are using. Check/Uncheck the "new animation for 1H weapon" box appropriately.
  20. I'm not looking to start a debate here. To answer your now edited post. Performance is defined by FPS largely, Quality is well "how good it looks", Hialgo lowers the resolution thus providing more FPS When needed. When not needed simply toggle it off. I'm pretty sure with a good rig like yours you will see no difference whatsoever in performance, In my case I am always chasing the elusive 30FPS I can only acheive this by turning on Hialgoboost. Since I prefer Quality over Performance in situations where I do not need those extra FPS to react quickly, I can toggle it off again and peacefully walk in crisp 1366x768 resolution. hope this answers your question.
  21. Do you mean the MCM menu? It usually takes a while for it to pop up. After entering/exiting a few cells it should appear you will get a notification in the upper right corner saying "MCM has registered (1) new menus" just play for a while you should see it if you have SKYui and SKSE setup properly. You should know if SKYui is working properly immediately, first off it will NOT give you an SKSE error, and then you will notice the new UI layout when opening your inventory.
  22. Its just a way he describes hialgo, a bit of marketing talk. By better than SLI he means LOW end cards, having SLI on a low end card is kind of pointless since the VRAM will essentially stay the same. Anyway I'm pretty sure he is not being serious and is just selling his story. I use hialgoboost and I'm very happy with it. When I'm not in combat I can turn it off to have crisp visuals, then in combat heavy situations I toggle it on and I'm sorted. Also not everyone is like you, not everyone has hundreds of dollars to spend on a GPU and then brag about it when you get the chance. "I do not need better performance from Skyrim. My PC needs a FPS limiter to keep the engine happy." from this "To me if someone wants better Performance from a game you lower the graphics settings or buy a better video card." quote you made I can only assume you do not have a job or earn your own money yet because anyone that has a need for Hialgoboost obviously does not have that sort of money to throw around. Otherwise they would simply buy a new video card as you stated. To clarify yes it is not a GPU upgrade, you are correct but one can only assume he's native language is not English, or he is overselling it, but the Idea behind the dynamic resolution is brilliant. To come one here and slag one's product and idea is disrespectful. Think before you post.
  23. What CPU do you have? You said you were doing some testing with the performance monitor, keep an eye on CPU data and let me know what it says.
  24. Dismiss them before testing your cave? Your post is so uninformative it is difficult to help.
  25. nice post hyac follow his advice thoroughly. Just to add my $.002, This is not following hearsay and not really about save corruption but I can personally suggest using manual saves, Since the saves are self contained there is no room for data overwriting within your os. I used to use autosaves, and once I got further in the game I consistently had problems loading my saves. No matter what situation the autosave was in, indoors/outdoors, I would have problems loading it. In this playthough I have used a hard manual save on every save and I have never had a problem loading a save. Bottom line just rather use manual saves, believe me once you start doing it enough, pressing escape, save, new slot will come naturally and almost as fast as pressing F5.
