To everybody whining about SSE not looking beatiful...
dayglo98 replied to Nasdar210's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
I like how half of the community is so salty, SSE is free ffs. If you dont like it get back to old Skyrim. In my case the performance is sublime (better than Oldrim) and the game looks miles better (if you dont take into account ENB's for now of course.) I'm talking 1080p fluctuating fps in Oldrim, to 2700x1500 60fps, ultra details TAA enabled, plenty of HD mods in the SE. Of course on Windows 10 thanks to DX11 I also have access to my whole 8Gb of VRAM. Managed to hit 4.5Gb used already. -
Need Recommendations of Skyrim mods that work on SE

in my case, just plain (for now at least) -
I guess he is making enb afterall. The lack of features is what bothers me. What good is "better stability" if it can never look as good as original skyrim? Doesn't help that modders will want to jump ship to sse only because they don't really care about making the game look as good as possible. well thats just you being negative now. I'm pretty sure SSE will be much better than Skyrim in the long run.

[FIX] Another fix for FPS and performance
dayglo98 replied to NerevarII's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
So, unmaster the remaster ? Well that makes sense (that was sarcasm) They are the textures from the Official High Resolution texture pack from Skyrim. If you're that hungry for fps I think you're better off downloading the Bethesda HD optimized mod (not the exact name) and installing that. -

Mostly any mod that doesnt rely on SKSE or SkyUI will work. Check the mods that work megathread, or hmm everyone is busy trying out mods so why dont you do the same :p -

In my case SSE runs better than Skyrim vanilla. I mean majorly. I had stutter even without any ENB, in 1080p. now I have : 2700x1500 Ultra, TAA, 16xF in driver settings. Noble HD Skyrim Amidianborn armors Amidianborn caves Wet and Cold SMIM RLO +ELFX Interiors +some other mods. Seriously I dont think I have ever played an open world game that is so smooth. constant 60fps not even dipping to 58-59, 60fps aaaalll the time. GTX1070 i5-2500k @ 4.4Ghz 8Gb RAM Win10 I am also super hopeful for the future and just happy that everything is stable and smooth. -
Ah yes I also have Single Display Performance Mode, and Maximum prerendered frames at 2. And forced 16xAF (not that that would do anything to help I guess) 2700x1500 Ultra, TAA, 60 fps 100% of the time indoord outdoors combat etc. I havent touched anything in the ini files. Best of luck to everyone. In my case SSE runs better than Skyrim...Granted I dont have an ENB yet but even without ENB in Skyrim I had an annoying stutter.

Either Im one of the lucky few or I am just easy to please, but even though I have 130ish mods on the original Skyrim, SE looks pretty good out of the box and runs amazing. By that I mean 1920x1080 Ultra settings, Noble Skyrim HD textures, amidianborn armors, immersive patrols, Realistic Lighting Overhaul, Grass on Steroids, at a constant 59.9 fps. And I mean CONSTANT, even in Whiterun. View distance is much more well made, shadows are 10x better than original. Oh turns out 2500x1700 is 59.9fps too :pirate: : https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/images/1704/839808-1477721612.png

I got solid 60fps by turning vsync to fast and triple buffer on. GTX 1070 i5-2500k @ 4.4Ghz Running Noble Skyrim HD textures and amidianborn armors

How do people with 200+ mods keep Skyrim stable?
dayglo98 replied to skyrim823894's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
yeah be sure to read the whole main page of a mod, particularly the Compatibility section, the Installation section etc. Look in each mod's discussions if you have any issues.« Currently running 135ish mods smooth as butter -
SkyrimSE what are your first thougths....
dayglo98 replied to PeterMartyr's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
I dont know what it is that people dont get. Of course old Skyrim plus 200 mods will look better than SE. The plan was just to give us 64bit and DX11 support. That's also why we get it for free. If someone pays for SE, its because they never got Skyrim in the first place so they are not being shafted for paying for the full game + all DLC. I'm just happy that it being a DX11 game it will finally see my 8Gb of VRAM. -
Hmm how about you look at the Top files ? It's there for a reason.
-
do you still have an errant d3d9.dll file in your skyrim folder ?

erase your skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini in my documents/my games/Skyrim

Have you tried disabling Violens temporarily ? In my setup its between that mod and RBE's realistic headbob. I disabled both of those and since then I ve played two days without crashing. I havent bothered to single out which one is crashing my game.
