  1. In case you guys haven't seen it, be sure to check it out if you need it: http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3790 I know a lot of people still haven't found it yet and need it, so I'm posting it here so hopefully more people can see it. ...just do me a favor and help other people out, and send it around to others that need it. That's all. The more people that know the import/export process, the better for the community. The construction set isn't going to make it any easier, so people are going to need to learn this. It's not all that hard, and hopefully the tutorial gets everyone on the right track at least and eliminates a good 99% of the technical troubles of getting things imported and exported. Of course, you can't eliminate all of the problems all of the time, but the method described in it has worked for me 10/10 times, so it should be a pretty decent foundation for people to start modding off of, and that's all for the best. Oh, and... don't message me asking for help with it. I probably don't know much more than you do and my inbox size gets full rather quickly. Other people in the comment thread that know more will likely be able to provide more and quicker assistance. So, yeah. Carry on. Hopefully it helps out and whatnot. Ta-ta~
  2. We didn't have Daedra and Aedra screwing with stuff all the time, or ahem... certain groups... going out of their way to assassinate emperors and whatnot. But... the Christian Dark Ages left a 1000 year void in technology, so they could be in a period like that.
  3. I may add or remove from this at some point, but here's some things I'd like to see compiled into one central place for my own reference. Feel free to comment on any of these, and PM me if you complete one of them or one of them gets created. Wolves not attack Werewolves in human form - add wolf factions to were players while in human form Something similar can be done for vampires like so, but as I know how to do it I'm not requesting it as such: Less wait time - just make instead of it taking ~1 second per hour, to maybe 1/10th a second per hour. So instead of 24 seconds for a day it only takes 2.4 seconds. Polygamy - ability to take multiple spouses Elf to Nord -replace High Elf / Dark Elf meshes, morphs and textures (but not tint files) with Nord's. -retain elf ears Sleeping with spouse - add moaning sound that triggers during (or before or after) the fade to black Sleep while you're in your home with your spouse; e.g. when Lover's Comfort triggers Remove "Be careful!" and similar NPC exclamations when you're attacking them Remove Shadow Warrior (Perk #00058214) effect -OR- replace with Ebony Mail effect - reason why: my character's eyes glitch out every time I trigger shadow warrior; ebony mail's effect is very similar but does not mess up my eyes Somehow fix glitched eyes after Invisibility - same thing that happens after shadow warrior (bugged eye texture) happens after invisibility; so maybe overall some script that can somehow force refresh the eye texture after invisibility or shadow warrior is used would be excellent Babette able to be a follower and attack things Add "hides hair" flag to several of the female helmets that don't have it but have severe clipping Add Detect Life + Detect Dead effects to Vampire Sight and (as a separate mod, for those that don't want it) Beast Form
  4. Oh and I also think I'll add Detect Life to the vision mode. Come to think of it, I think it'd be nice if werewolves had that while they were transformed too. Maybe Detect Dead too.
  5. After level 25, mage damage no longer increases whatsoever. Spell damage does not scale. The damage scale is like this: 0 20 40 60 80 character level | | | | | _________ / / / Master spells are weak and slow, easily interruptable and generally worthless for the most part. As such, mage isn't very good after level 25 or so. If you're on PC there's workarounds for this, but you're out of luck on consoles. Try typing this in console on PC: playerenchantobject 877ca 3eb26 (you can do two enchants... it's item baseid, enchant, enchant) 3ebxx... 26 = desro spells (enchant level% stronger) 25 = conjuration last longer 27 = illusion stronger 28 restoration stronger 24 alteration longer 23 haggle is % easier 22 harder tod etect 21 lockpicking 19 1 handed 18 potions % stronger Here's a nice page for reference/ease of use: http://skyrim.mmo-game.eu/enchanting-items-console/ Here's an example just to prove it works: http://i.minus.com/izAOXLaewxgAL.jpg Here's a more extreme example (player.modav enchanting 485 first - from base 15, that is): http://i.minus.com/iQHf8Y5WYQVeh.jpg Obviously you'd want to use this sparingly and try to keep it balanced in your game most likely, but once you get that high you will probably want it. On a side note, investing is magicka is completely useless and you should not do it. Instead, invest in cast reduction gear. You can get your casts down to near zero, or zero, so magicka will not be a needed attribute. The base cost scales with the reduction so if something that would have taken 1800 magicka to cast was reduced by 90%, it'd only take 160 or so to cast. But just by doing the full 100 tree, and with a robe with a destruction cost reduction you'll likely have even higher reduction and maybe even 100% reduction so 0 cast cost. So, invest in health. You're likely wearing really weak armor, so the extra health will help when you do get hit.
  6. Looks like in your latest version BSLightingShaderProperty is no longer present in the Convert menu, and the Property Links (below Dirty Flag) seem to have vanished. :o
  7. No o_O... I cured Kodlak after he died, but not myself...
  8. I'd like the Draugr Deathlord Helmet. Replace Ancient Nord Helmet with it or something.
  9. I think there is actually a working nifskope. You just need Throttlekitty's XML file.
  10. Since Shadow Warrior seems to cause my character's eyes to scramble whenever I use it... I'd like a mod that removes the black shadow warrior effect. Or better yet... replace it with the effect for Ebony Mail, since they seem really similar and that one doesn't seem to mess up my eyes so far...
  11. I discovered it happens nearly every time I use Shadow Warrior (Perk #00058214).
  12. NMM should be adjusted. Not every single mod on Nexus.
  13. I use 7-Zip which extracts it to the folder name anyways, then I open that and use my brain for all of 0.5 seconds so I copy over meshes/textures into /Data/ and not the whole folder. I mean really, use your brain for just an instant. That's all it comes down to.
  14. I think some people just need to pay more attention. Pack zip, 7z, rar from here -> [My Mod Folder] / [Data/Meshes/Textures/Etc] / [Modded File] ^ is standard Generally it'll be like... [My Mod Folder] [Read Me] [+ Image(s)] [+ Optional Files] / [Data/Meshes/Textures/Etc] / [Modded File]
  15. Oh, yes. It does take awhile to add an entire tree that way. But there's bat file packs for that, like this one here: http://skyrim.mmo-game.eu/skyrim-console-convenience-pack/
  16. About 70% of the time I use it, they fly for about 10 seconds and end up landing on the top of a cliff or mountain or somewhere equally inconvenient.
  17. You can't get that until the game is almost over. Besides, they always land in the most inconvenient of places, at their own leisure.
  18. Need we be reminded? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OCsMKypvmB0
  19. Nope... Only thing I had any measure of difficulty with were dragons, and that's just cause they're damn near impossible to hit with my bow and they don't land nearly enough. Nothing else, really. Except maybe some of those really insane drauger early on, if I didn't get the drop on them. I'd still win though. But for me, I'd quick save often and if a sneak attack failed I would always reload. Why? I wanted each of my kills to be perfect and flawless, completely undetected. I redid some things over and over even 10+ times just to get it perfect stealth kills. I could have passed them easily on the first try even without perfection, but I still went for being perfect just for my own satisfaction. With a bow and a dagger, you can kill just about any number of npc's without them ever reaching you.
  20. I do not love them, no. I don't even like them, dare I say my feelings towards them are quite the opposite. They banned the worship of Talos. Talos is a divine. They are jealous because a human could become a divine, and they believe that privilege should only belong to the Altmer. If Talos was not truly a god, you would not receive his blessing at his shrine. It is proof in itself that the Thalmor are wrong. What's more, they abduct and torture random people all throughout the land. That doesn't exactly scream some entity I should love. The only thing I like are their fancy robes and elven armor. I was quite disappointed, too, that during my trip to the Embassy on my High Elf I created exclusively to do this, couldn't put on the Thalmor outfit in the back room and pass off as one of the Thalmor in front of those two guards. It didn't work on any of my other characters, but I figured maybe a High Elf, since they're at least the right race, but no... They even talked about getting a bunch of new mages, so they wouldn't know everyone's faces. But they still attacked me on sight, while in Thalmor disguise.... That's just bad design on Bethesda's part. I was also disappointed when dressing as an Imperial soldier (in every sort of Imperial armor possible) couldn't persuade them to allow me to pass at a certain fort attempting to rescue a certain npc. I wasn't just dressed as an Imperial soldier either... I was a Legate in the Imperial Legion. An officer! Ugh... such disappointing things revolving around the Thalmor...
  21. yeah but it takes ages to find the perks you want and if you try a tiered perk (ie ones that use more than one point) then you have to do it in a very specific order or you can seriously f*** your game up! Not really. help "perk name" 0 It'll list all of them with that name, and it doesn't need to be in the right order, as long as you add all of them of that particular perk in one go. I've done it at least 30+ times. :/
