  1. Hammerfell would have the pirate stuff and could still be in the same era. I wouldn't be interested in a more modern ES game myself.
  2. Has anyone made a mod where you can complete the Dragonborn DLC without serving Hermaeus Mora? I really hate that we're forced into it so I've avoided it ever since my first playthrough on it, so it'd be nice if there was a mod where he'd actually listen to us telling him to f off at every opportunity and how we refuse to serve him...
  3. You can do it with CBBE using BodySlide and you can get a pretty big enormous butt with it as well. Not what you're looking for but maybe it'll suffice?
  4. Did anyone ever make a mod like this?
  5. If you guys can't get NMM to update from the program itself like I couldn't, click that link up at the top here by Search that says Install NMM (0.46.0) and you'll be able to get it from there. It took it like 5 tries alternating between different servers before it finally downloaded a mod for me, but that's to be expected right now.
  6. I get this bug sometimes. I don't know what causes it but the only fix I've found is reloading my game to before it happened.
  7. I just built a new rig and I'm now gaming on Windows 8.1 (moved from Vista ironically enough). After downloading Classic Shell Windows 8.1 isn't so bad (cause screw that metro crap). A lot of programs have to be ran in compatibility mode for Windows 7 or there's problems though, especially games. I seem to be getting much more frequent CTD's in Skyrim now as well which considering I had a rock solid stable mod setup before and could play days without getting a CTD I'm guessing it's 8.1 not playing nice with Skyrim even though I set the compatibility to 7.
  8. In response to post #10410153. #10410207, #10410278 are all replies on the same post. Same here, can't log in with NMM. Big problem.
  9. Well, I like the idea of being able to become a ghost with the Become Ethereal shout and I think it's kinda silly that we can't walk through walls as a ghost in an ethereal form. So if a mod could add no clip to the become ethereal shout that'd be awesome. Does one exist? If it does I can't find it. I'm not strong on the scripting side of things so I don't know how to do it myself. I guess whatever line of code that the cloud of bats flying thing or flying vampire lord mods use would probably work if added to it. I don't even know how to edit and compile the scripts though, lol. In all my years of modding Bethesda games I've never touched scripting even once. http://www.loverslab.com/public/style_emoticons/default/tongue.png Personally right now I just open console and do tcl myself but it's kinda immersion breaking. As a side note, if someone wanted to go about it some super advanced way they could make it so you can only walk through interior doors that don't lead to a loading screen, but that sounds like a lot more work and potentially impossible.
  10. I did some testing and it turns out that for whatever reason NMM won't install with file paths setup like this: <file source="0 - Common" destination=""/>They need to be explicitly referenced in both the source and destination it seems. Here's a working version that doesn't have the "Mod Not Activated" problem with only the aforementioned changed: Hopefully NMM either adds support for that folder/destination setup or adds an error message in the future.
  11. Here are two different examples: There's no error code whatsoever. When I install with NMM everything is fine until I click finish in the installer then it says "Mod Not Activated" as if I'd clicked cancel. Here's the full packages: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/39301 http://www.mediafire.com/download/cz1s3ctm6q20589/SOS_Light_-_Schlong_Sizes.7z I don't see anything wrong, but there has to be something I overlooked. Any idea what it is?
  12. Using SOS by any chance? They don't supply the falmer or bandit (fur) shoes in their packages so if you uninstall Better Males before you install SOS then you'll get this problem. Easy solution, just download Better Males manually, extract it and navigate to "Data\meshes\armor" there will be two folders "bandit" and "falmer"; go to the same directory in your Skyrim folder and paste those folders in there and your feet will be fixed.
  13. I really doubt you're still looking for this but if anyone googles it and wants to know how, you need to open up the CK and go to Magic > Magic Effect then take something like combat health regen and call it something like weapon speed mult, then change it's modifier to WeaponSpeedMult, then create a new ability in Spell>Ability and add the magic effect you just created to it. 1.5 magnitude should be 150% faster or some such. Works for me.
  14. There are literally none of the vanilla male NPC's I would marry. The selection is just crap... the closest one is that blonde haired guy in Kynesgrove, if he didn't have such an ugly face (imo). I have to be lesbigay in Skyrim lol... As for females, the vanilla post-maritial stuff kinda sucks. I got kinda tired of even having Lydia with me since all she says 24/7 is "Wow, I've never seen anything quite like that." over and overrrr... Damnnn gurrl, you need to get out more! Anyways, vanilla-wise I'd probably have to go with Lydia since she's the prettiest and has the nicest figure of the available spouses. Next choice would be Sylgja from Shor's Stone since she has a fairly pretty face, vanilla-wise. Mjoll seems decent if not for that voice that I hate which can't really be overlooked. Jordis seems really sweet, though she's a bit like a pale blonde haired scrawny slightly less attractive version of Lydia with a much better temprament. Though, modded, Jordis is a really good choice. Then again, modded, Ysolda is also a decent choice. I don't like how caustic Lydia is, if I'm using them modded... so I'd just avoid her. Carlotta Valentia wouldn't be a bad choice if she were marriable since she has a pretty face and dialog-wise seems like she's quite the catch. She's a bit on the scrawny side though, and she could use a better hairstyle. My favorite from non-vanilla is Amalee from Interesting NPC's. She's just so amusing and comments on everything. She's so airheaded, and a milk drinker lol!
  15. When my female nord turns into a vampire her lip tint doesn't seem to be inherited and instead goes totally white. What files are responsible for this? I'm thinking something broke it...
  16. ...I've been playing Skyrim since it came out in 2011. >_<
  17. Nearly half are skimpy? Hah! I'd venture to say way more than that. More like 4/5th's are skimpy. Though, the custom armors for guys tend to involve their wangs hanging out in very awkward ways too...
  18. Personally I usually side with the Stormcloaks simply out of spite to get back at the Imperials for nearly beheading me. I mean if it weren't for Alduin conveniently saving my life I would have had my head lopped off and for what? Crossing the border illegally? They didn't even care who I was or why I was there... they were just going to execute me. That's horrible. It's not a one time mistake either, they execute other honorable nords for nothing. Roggvir being executed just for allowing Ulfric to challenge the High King in the old ways following the traditions of his fathers and his father's fathers was in no way a traitorous offense. Furthermore, I saw Elisif at the Thalmor Embassy along with all the other crooks and she would make the worst puppet Queen of all time... she's just some young stupid girl not even fit to be a Jarl, well alone High Queen. Though, Ulfric is clearly inept seeing as to how were it not for Alduin's intervention he'd have been executed along with his top lieutenants. The Empire certainly has a more capable general. Either way you have to sell your soul to both sides in life and in death and in elder scrolls the "in death" that's taken quite literally as we've seen many times over. I believe the Dragonborn isn't meant to interfere with the civil war though if I had to choose a side that I felt was for the best, putting my personal feelings aside, the Empire is the better choice. Skyrim can't fend off the Aldmeri Dominion alone but then again Skyrim has obviously gotten weak and corrupt so there are pros and cons to both sides. It's not entirely clear that the other provinces wouldn't help Skyrim if it came to it.
  19. Dark Brotherhood and Sithis I could understand, but the Thieves Guild..? I can't imagine someone that wanted to be a thief would want to serve someone for eternity playing cave guard.
  20. I may have upped my novice difficulty somehow but I find it to be extremely difficult. The other day I went through Bleak Falls Barrow and died like 5 times on novice lol... luckily I was using SM Essential Player. Maybe it's because I refuse to use healing potions because I think it's unimmersive and unrealistic but if the vanilla game requires you to chug potions during pretty much any difficult fight then that's just shoddy design. I dunno, it seemed way too hard to be a vanilla novice though... I'm convinced I must have upped the defaults for novice somehow. Using a bow and Locational Damage makes everything a snore though. I can headshot pretty much everything like a boss lol.
  21. You can do it with AFT which is probably the easiest way. You could probably do it via console too though I'm not sure if it would be proper... The uh, Nord thing would depend on which race they were originally otherwise they may look kinda wonky. setrace NordVampireRace ;depends on original race, this one is for nords originally addtofaction 46281 1 ; (DA03VampireFaction) - if you don't want other vampires to be hostile towards you... might also make wolves not hostile to you addspell 8d5c2 ; Vampiric Drain addspell 88821 ; Embrace of Shadows addspell c4de2 ; Vampire's Seduction addspell ed0a7 ; Vampire's Servant addspell c4de1 ; Vampire's Sight addspell f5b54 ; Champion of the Night addspell 10f1e7 ; Nightstalker's Foosteps addspell ed0a8 ; Resist Disease addspell ed09e ; Resist Frost addspell 10fb30 ; Resist Poison I don't know what race they would need to be to be a vampire lord, I haven't messed with console for that. I imagine they'd need the form spell too which I don't know offhand either. Here's the perks: addperk 02005998; Power of the Grave addperk 0200599A; Vampiric Grip addperk 02016908; Summon Gargoyle addperk 02008A70; Corpse Curse addperk 0200599B; Detect All Creatures addperk 0200599C; Mist Form addperk 0200599E; Supernatural Reflexes addperk 02005994; Blood Healing addperk 02005995; Unearthly Will addperk 02005996; Poison Talons addperk 02005997; Night Cloak
  22. CTD when removing a mod means you still have a mod dependent on a mod that you removed. An easy example of this would be something that uses a SkyProc patch like Dual Sheath Redux. If you have that then uninstalling just about anything will probably make you CTD unless you re-patch it.
  23. I'm doing a playthrough right now where I don't join literally anyone that I'd have to sell my soul to, save for ones that I can unbind myself from (e.g. Hircine/Molag Bal potentialy). I figure, it'd be kinda hard to become an Aedra like Tiber Septim (Talos) if I sell my soul to all the damn Daedra out there. I should be becoming a freakin' Emperor or something - I have the dragon blood. Heck, not to mention you can make the position vacant, and I'm sure the Dragonborn could defeat the Thalmor. What's an army of elves against a being as strong as a Daedra (Clavicus Vile's own words) and half as strong as him even when he's at full power. Half Daedra should be more than enough to conquer most of the known world and form your own empire or something.
