  1. I have a question, which is more or less related to the same topic. Memory addresses. I already tried to find a specific memory address for blocking. I want to find the switch and/or function, which makes you immun to melee damage, when blocking, which should be 1 or 0. I guess, that 1 is, when blocking is active and 0 otherwise. I used cheat engine to find that address, but.... it took hours just for 1 pass. Is there a faster way to identify an address / is there a special address space where I can find such things?
  2. BLD won't cause a CTD. DECAY can't cause any issues with BLD, except that your enemies will probably have less and/or more health / get again bullet sponges. You can use xEdit to adjust their health. Currently I'm using DECAY + Fallout 3 - NV Feral Ghouls Replacer ( https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/39290 ) Most of the time, people get CTDs and performance issues, when you uninstall mods in a save game. I also wouldn't recommend to uninstall BLD as a regular user, if you want to continue with the current game. It's always better to uninstall mod XY and start a new game, to make sure, everything works as expected.
  3. I have the same issue. Have you ever figured out why the akBlameActor does not get credit for casting the spell? Or does someone else know why?
  4. Don't get hyped for Fallout 5 or TES:VI Look at Bethesdas latest releases. All of their latest releases were s#*!. Unfinished and sloppy patched together games, focused on MTX. Fallout 76 didn't even have interactive NPCs, because of the "player experience", which is a very poor excuse for not bothering and implementing it later. "The players rebuilt Appalachia and now the people (npcs) come back" ---- 'rebuilding' by nuking the s#*! out of the landscape. Even their explanations suck nowadays... I don't trust them anymore. The whole industry has gone mad. Fallout 4 and Skyrim is probably the last playable and mod-able Bethesda game as we know them.
  5. It's very easy to analyse the papyrus log: [10/01/2019 - 06:59:46PM] This is a script log only and does not contain information on any other part of the game, including crashes.
  6. Yeah... that's kinda normal. As soon as your mod is getting liked by the community. Some a*holes will pirate it and redistribute it somewhere else. I made the same experience years ago. I also thought about cancelling modding and pulling my mods, but in the end, I didn't do it, because I like what I do. I love to distribute my work with others. The participation in a community, building together and making a good game better.
  7. Not a fan of the new design. The old notification tab was much better. The design itself looks very out of place. You can see that it was changed as it doesn't match the style of the website. Bugs The counter on the bell is not colorized with the theme. (intended?) Something good: Mods of the Month is now more visible. Mod Rewards is now easier to find. Wishlist: Recently mods visited/clicked. Fix the changelog. It's horrible. Make it a free text without those auto convert to points. I always have to trick the system to make a proper changelog. Bring back images for the notification tab.
  8. Always depends on the mods you are using, settings, third party mods like F4SE or ENBs and your hardware. The engine has to do that stuff on the fly. When your CPU is already busy and does not has the capability to run those tasks(generating textures and meshes for NPCs), you get stutters.
  9. I've never cleaned any DLCs and I'm playing Skyrim SE + Fallout 4 without any crashes, they work are rock solid. The only crashes I had in Skyrim SE were due to a skeleton mod, but with https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/21294 you can find those crashes. But if you clean DLCs and people use those refs in their mod, your game will crash. You won't gain any performance or something else from cleaning, only a weak spot that may crash your game at some point. The more you fiddle with files, the more issues may arise. Crashes and other issues are always connected to mods that are not well created and bloat your game or incompatibility issues with other mods. It also depends on what the mods you installed do. Adding 5 mods that cause a lot of stress to papyrus will also make your game very unstable and can cause freezes or crashes. Yes, a lot of scripted mods can kill your game.
  10. Many mod authors don't pack their stuff into ba2 files. This is also a reason for stutters and other issues. If you experience a lot of stutter check for mods which are not packed into ba2 files. Specially texture overhauls. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/8704 - Atomic Radio and Tales from the Commonwealth Great mod, really loving it. I used this mod when it was released and it caused sooo many issues. Specially sutters. Some months ago, I stumbled over this mod again. With my knowledge today, I managed to fix all the issues I had. Regenerated precombines/previs and facegen data. Packed everything up in ba2 files. Issues solved. I made a most in this mod, where I describe how you can fix it. ( https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3700970-atomic-radio/?p=71474048 )
  11. It applies to all mods, which change face appearances by an ESP. This also counts for companion overhaul mods. (This does not include texture overhauls, like body replacer.)
  12. I would be happy if they fix some of the engine bugs, this game has. This would be better than any DLC.
  13. Believe it or not 50 FPS can be very bad in Fallout 4. I had the same issues. My game was at 58 fps capped(capping at 60 fps caused microstutter), it was running smooth. When I dropped down to 50 it stuttered again. It was not your usual 50 fps you know. The performance was really bad. I tried everything to get rid of these stutters. No chance. And now, stutters are gone. 50 fps feel now much better than before. Why? I upgraded my CPU, from a i5-4440 + 8gb ram, unknown mhz to a R5 2600x + 3200mhz 16gb ram. Stutters were gone and the game was much more fluent, even with the same fps! Fallout 4 is very RAM and CPU depending. Your graphics card is not that important.
  14. Hello, does anybody know, how well the engine can handle bigger texture file sizes? Best example would be the official DLC Pack, which causes for many people a huge performance impact. Now the question is, is this performance impact an issue with hardware of the people or is it an engine limitation? If it is an engine limitation, what is the border of it / when is it too much? Has anyone done some tests?
  15. It's only a visual/sound bug. It does not affect your real DPS
  16. Delete all NPCs and then check the record for errors. xEdit will tell you, where NPCs are missing as reference.
  17. Just a thought: If you're doing your testing with the Automatron DLC active but did not have it enabled in the CK when you do your regen, that could explain what you're experiencing. The RobCo building added by Automatron is in the cell range for the area you're working on. I did some regen in the Easy City Down cells a while back and forgot about the Automatron changes...was getting lots of preculling around the prep school and the RobCo building until I did it again with Automatron activated in the CK. I know you said you resolved it, but this was what solved it for me as I was dealing with making new precombines. I created it with the DLC but it didnt work because I tried to generate previs normal and with precombined. This somehow messed it up for me. I deleted the previs files and used with precombined only. That worked.
  18. @VlitS Thanks for the answer. I deleted the vis files for both cells and regend precombined vis only. That worked. As general rule of thumb, as probably all cells have precombined. Should one only use precombined vis? Or when to use the normal vis
  19. I'm having trouble to regenerate previs for EastBostonPrepSchoolExt/02/03 Has someone experienced issues there? Everytime I try to regen previs there it jumps to easycitydownsext or DNPrimeBridge, depending on the location where I am. I already regen for EasyCityDowns and that worked very well, but EastBostonPrepSchoolExt is completely freaking out. (Culling here and there, flickering everywhere.) How I approached it: Created precombined for EastBostonPrepSchoolExt/02/03 and followed normal vis for current cell and then precombined vis for current cell. Tried to regen vis with each of the 3 cells. Really don't know why it's not working.
  20. An easy way to fix Raideroverhaul, delete all NPC records. They are not needed to get the joy of the mod. I fixed the ESP and added it to my Better Locational Damage mod as replacer ESP.
  21. Don't know if people are still looking for a correct answer but here it is: Fallout 4 is not good with utilizing all cores and hyperthreading may even cause more issues. Your CPU is not showing 90% because Fallout 4 does not use all resources of your CPU. It can distribute small tasks to other cores, but the major stuff like shadows are processed on the main core and thus will slowdown everything else. Fallout 4 is crap, technically spoken. But I still love its sandbox.
  22. Quick question, is there any guide for creating f4se plugins?
  23. I'm using Homemaker and I have no crashes. Did you use any objects from homemaker and do the crashes occur when entering the settlement / is getting loaded?
  24. You bought an overprized buggy mod from Bethesda, so go and visit their forums for support.
  25. I'm running about ~230 mods and I have no CTDs*, but... it's a lot of work. I troubleshooted a lot of issues I experienced. Specially lag spikes. It's best to add mods slowly. If you experience a crash @somewhere, restart Fallout 4 and when you are in the menu you can use the coc command, for example: coc redrocketext01 or coc diamondcityext01. Then you can go to that location and check if the crash occurs again. If yes, then deactivate all mods and test again. Slowly enable mods, which you suspect not to crash your game. Also check your savegame size, if it's huge, then you have a leak. You can always search a mods forum and look for keywords like: CTD, Crash etc. To see if someone else has a crash with this mod. *There are CTD within the base game! They are random and can occurs or not. One of that area is Cambridge Police Station. When you approach it while Danse is doing his thing there with the Ghouls, your game can crash randomly.
