  1. Also the GOTY edition at a retailer is not expensive. My girlfriend payed 25€ for the GOTY edition while at steam it was 59,99€
  2. This is old but I have some new infos to share. After many many years, finally. Yes, we were correct, it's related to facegen. Why? You might ask, well... Every NPC has it's FACE data prebuild by the CK and saved in the texture ba2's. If you now manipulate a NPC who has face data or create a new NPC with it's own face. There is no face data! This leads to stutter! Because everything is done on the fly, ingame! Yes! Everytime you overwrite a NPC that has face data, the original face data is no longer used! It looks like that: (We assume that ID: 00012233 is a raider face NPC. This one is referenced as trait template for others. ) Original: Textures\Actors\Character\FaceCustomiztaion\Fallout4.esm\00012233_x.DDS Changed: Textures\Actors\Character\FaceCustomiztaion\YourMod.esp\ The game now tries to find the related face data within the 'Changed' path, which probably does not exist, if you didn't regenerate the data with the CK. The result is, depending on how many NPCs the engine has to progress: Stutter. Easy, isn't it?
  3. Or maybe, nothing was real. The Player had a loooong sleep and dreamed a lot of crazy stuff. Then after the dream is over, the cryopods are openend, they move to the surface and Fallout 45 begins. At the surface you can breakup with your wife and kid, say goodbye and move to new adventures! Because... the game was rigged from the start.
  4. There you go https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/14786
  5. Oh, it's dead. Didnt recognize that. Thanks for pointing that out! Now I can finally stop making mods for Fallout 4! And I was already working on two new mods, lol.
  6. One thing i forgot to mention, which is for me interesting, are the story bits. Terminals, notes etc... I always love to read those notes and I think they can be very interesting. But this is not worth the money. I'll just wait for Oxhorns videos regarding the lore of Fallout 76.
  7. Yep, what he says in the video is correct. I think the same. The game is already dead before they have released it. I mean, even PvP is really bad. All Battle Royal clones / DayZ clones have, no matter how bad they are, have a better PvP-System. PvP is the only reason to play such a game. Their generic radiant quests, can't satisfy anyone for more than some weeks. They will repeat very quickly. I have also seen some Bethesda white knights, defending the atom shop. "But you can a lot of atoms while playing!! A LOT!!" Yeah... sure.... If you earn a lot, you don't have to buy, but Bethesda wants you to buy. In the end, we now know. You earn nothing. Best reaction to bugs was: "Yeah! There are bugs, BUT Bethesda will fix it before release! They said so, they will improve the game!!" Seems like they never played a Bethesda game before. The only real good thing about the game is the world, they have recreated. I always love their created worlds and small details you can find. But there is nothing else.
  8. Whaddya mean? Goofy emotes and tubas are exactly what FO4 needs! Yes, you are right, I'm sorry.
  9. Indeed. Porting assets is not allowed. But, it's possible to recreate them. Which is a lot of work. Features, ideas for quests can also be taken and recreated in fallout 4. But in the end, there is nothing worth to steal/port. MAYBE, we see something ported via the Creation Club. Would be ideal. They could make double the money with their work. Which they already did by using about 101% of the fallout 4 assets in fallout 76. No blame but still somehow disappointing. Feels like playing the same game. -No I didnt play it, but i saw a lot of reviews and gameplay vids.
  10. ^ | This. Create mods and be an inspiration to others.
  11. Well, even when you play as a raider, you don't have to be a real raider. See yourself as a 'Betraider'.
  12. Well..... Nuka World definitely has it's moments. It has great places, which are well designed. There are also great scenes. The look and feel is great. What I dislike is the entry quest, "The gauntlet". Killing Colter and then you are the new boss of the whole place it's just meh. It was unexpected and a surprise but it's just too much. You expect to be no one there and that's also something I like. You are always forced into a role by the game. It would have been much better to actually choose. Kill him or let him survive. So the main story is not that great, but i really like the minor quests / stories. To make it short, imo it's worth it's money. You get a lot of stuff and playtime. It's not perfect, but no fallout/elder scrolls has been perfect.
  13. Try a mod which reduces walk/run speed. For ex. https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/25495 This should help quite a bit. Make sure you use windowed fullscreen and disable fallout4s vsync and use nvidias. Also make sure to enable pre rendered frames 1 or 2. There is a mouse config setting, but i cant remember. Have to look it up when im back from work.
  14. My favorite "vanilla" follower is Curie. Haven't tried any mod added companions so far. Well... i have some mods for Curie. ( Deeper thoughts curie and Platinum Curie ) *Spoiler* She is a lovely character. The most interesting thing about her is, that she was/is a robot and how she learns, how to be a human. The dialogue is great and also her voice. Really like the france accent. AND YES! I started a romance with a robot! Judge me! Her romance dialogues are funny to read and see how she does handle the situation and her feelings. When she talks about feelings but she can't describe it, what it is. And even when she says it quite often in the rain: "You should get an umbrella. You don't want to catch a cold, do you?" I love the emphasis.
  15. For text editor, go for vsCode and get the Papyrus extension from the marketplace
  16. What a discussion... I haven't played FO3, only FNV. The only huge difference is the story and dialog menu. It's really bad... just because of those console players, they invented that s#*! system. No, I don't blame the console users, I blame Beth. The story is a huge setback. The design of the world and such, is not that different to the other games. There are places with a lot of love and a lot places with "no time but we have to place something here." Regarding the NPCs, patrolls etc... well... It's nearly the same. Most of the time, you fight some predictable "random" encounters and the other time, you walk a long the empty streets. There is no surprise. Fallout NV: Great story, great DLCs. Old World Blue, was amazing. There are no words for that DLC to describe how great it is/was. Mini games were also great. I spend nights in the casino! So much fun! Mr. New Vegas... oh man...such a great character, only once, in a blue moon. Now i want to play NV again... Gameplay.. well it's fallout, its okay. I'm more a realistic gameplay type of a guy. Fallout 4 Story... welll...What to say? Shaun.. god i hate him. Intro is great for the first time you see it, as you "see" how it happens. Everything is green and beautiful and then, everything is dead. That's a great transition. It also makes you think about it a little bit more, at least for me. Dialogs are "bad"/straight. There are definitely some that are good, but most of the time... it's not the story that makes me think, oh wow fallout 4, great. It's quite the opposite. Well, Far Harbor is different. I really love Far Harbor. It's great 9/10 I would, where the vanilla game is more like a 6/10. One point i have to give to FO4 is the city, Boston. except that the frames suck and drive me nuts, it's well designed. It lacks a lot of secret stuff to find and discover. Specially the roof area. Does this mean F:NV is worse in that case? No, because you can't compare it and also FO4 uses a new system, which does not exist in F:NV, which allows the creators to create much more complex stuff to look at. Also different things. If they would try the same with F:NV how would that look? Extremely repeatitive. To make it short: Great new looking weathersystem. It really looks beautiful and sometimes stunningly beautiful. It's a great good looking sandbox. I've modded my FO4 to a great game, which i really love to play, without any story and such. The building system, is great with mods and you can spend hundreds of hours with it. So which is better? FO4 or F:NV? Both. Did Bethesda try harder, to make it better than the other ones? Well... I don't think that they tried to make it "better". Fallout 4 looks to me like: "Okay we have a vision, the game should be like that and that. It should have this and that." They are also very limited on time, they always focus on the "important" stuff. They try to make stuff believeable and good looking. If they have time, they put more effort into it. If not, they make it ok-ish.
  17. I'll stay with FO4 till FO5. I have a lot of fun with modding. Creating mods and finding new mods created by others. I really enjoy my modded gameplay and specially the world & atmosphere of the game. It's really beautiful. I don't want to play an online game, where other people disturb that. If i want to play a survival game, i go for Arma3 Exile, Scum. Yes, I love to play online survival games, but not fallout. I'm a DayZ veteran and spend thousands of hours there. The Fallout and Elder Scrolls Series are supposed to be >my< world. Where i can do whatever i want to do. Often, i come to places where I've been quite a lot and then i take a moment and look at the world around me. It can be sometimes so gorgeous. Then you play fallout 76, have the same moment and in the next second, you get shot in the head by player LoLYouDieD69... yeah... no.... And their server capacity is 24 players I guess? I think i read something like that. If you have ever played such a game, this is way too low.
  18. I can't say no to a sexy mug. Would make a great addition to my collection. Bought a FO4 mug, just for modding.
  19. I don't know, if this was mentioned: Trudy at the drumlin diner is not a real fan of drugs, because of her boy. And thats completely understandable, but still she does sell drugs. Jet, Psycho etc. I think this is not right. A mother would have banned all drugs.
  20. Well, i probably wouldnt add something like that as an external mod. I always have issues with people, who are not able to install F4SE correctly. As some of my mods require F4SE, I always get messages, that the mod doesnt work... xy doesnt work... etc... So i finally got sick of it and i created a new quest, which runs at start and checks for F4SE. If F4SE is not correctly installed, it registers for a OnPlayerLoadGame event, the player gets a nice notice and everytime he loads his save. If F4SE is correctly installed, the quest finishes and unregister from the event. Problem solved. You can do something like that too.
  21. They don't care. Like Todd said, they look, does the game crash? No? Then it's fine, everything else has no high priority. Don't know, where i exactly saw that, it was a long video about development. There are tons of free mods out there and people waste their money on such crap... I just can't understand that. I'm a bad person and i say it no matter what. If you pay money for crap, you get crap and don't complain. Yes, I'm not a fan of the CC. Bethesda can't even fix the fallout 4 vanilla issues, like VATS freeze. Applying a potion while in VATS may causes your game to freeze, yep. This happens in the vanilla game, when you get a disease while in VATS, as they get applied as potion with a script. There is also a mod that implements a workaround for that issue. In my opinion, this is a major thing and do they care? No. They pump out more buggy mods.
  22. Except that, but you should be good to edit for example templates & stats, inventory etc.
  23. NPCs, copied with xEdit, cause issues, because when you copy them, not all data is copied. If you then run the game and meet that NPC, it MAY cause stutters. The game engine will try to recreate the missing data and do its calculations. The recovered data is only temporarily and will not be saved. The more NPCs you encounter without the data, the more it will stutter. If you go to an area with no action and not many objects, you don't even notice it, as there is no strain on the engine. The only solution is to delete the affected NPC records and recreate them with the creation kit. Mod authors tend to use xEdit, because it's "faster" or the creation kit is too "complicated". Btw, editing an existing NPC with xEdit, should not cause any issues.
