1. Start a new game, try again. You probably corrupted your save with uninstalling a mod.
2. MO2 all the way. The best mod manager. NMM is okay but has issues. It very often forgets to install mods correctly and forgets archives etc... Had a lot of issues with skyrim special edition. Cost me hours to fix it manually.
3. If you are looking for a more realistic combat experience, check out my Better Locational Damage mod. You won't be disappointed. It has much more features than the name implies.
4. I also was't sure, if i should buy the DLCs but in the end, as a mod author you need them... but even as a player, you should get them. There are a lot of mods that require certain DLCs and its makes the life much easier for you, when you don't have to care. The DLCs itself are also not bad. Automatron is okay, Far Harbor is amazing, Nuka World is okay. The Workshop DLCs are.... meh... but ok. Could have been better. Its also a one time investment.
5. Don't know what to say. Sceptical. There will be a lot of stolen files, fake files. Complaints about: He stole my assets! etc... Its a good idea, there are no disadvantages directly. But this system can also push new authors away. They see the big pool(cash) and there is no place for them in it. "Everyone gets something but not me", they will feel disadvantaged. Hate will grow against successful mod authors and they maybe switch to the darkside. On the other hand, successful mod authors get what they deserve, finally. This system does also need a cap. The maximum of points that can be generated per to make the share equal, imo. How high? I dont know... Will this split the community? Maybe, maybe not. The world will not end. People who get their pitchforks and torches out will come down, as always. There is no alternative. Bethesda? Heh, good one. How will bethesda react? Hard to tell. In the end mod users generate money by creating mods/downloads. So its more or less a passive way to earn money with mods. Mod authors are now in the nexus boat. You could also say, Nexusmods generates money with "their" mods. If bethesda wants to hit that boat, im pretty sure, the modding community will tear them apart,as this could also mean the end of nexus as we know it. Beth seriously dont want that kind of war.
6. Hello, blocking is a big topic for melee characters and has several in the way it works. Parry a deathclaw with your fists? No Problem. Parry Super Mutant Behemoth? Easy. Blocking has never been so absurd as it is now. Now comes the tricky question, where is it handled? Yesterday i've spend some time in the creation kit and looked for the block system. After that, my first guess is, its hardcoded. There are some gamesettings, which probably have no effect, when changed. So the only possibility is probably to write a f4se plugin and fix blocking from the inside. Am i wrong? Did i oversee anything in the creation kit, is there a way to change it somehow? If not, how would one try to fix that with an DLL file / how to find the functions / variables to edit it. I'm familiar with c++ but not with reverse engineering a game. Of course, it possible to look for values with cheat engine. But how can you find such things? I appreciate any help on this topic.
7. Try to start a new game and test it there. When the game freezes, no matter if its Elder Scrolls or Fallout, it could be related to scripts. Does the freeze happen without any action? There is a bug wih VATS that causes the game to freeze.
8. Something i want to throw in: https://imgur.com/a/egUvX The text on the bottom line is always fading out and makes it hard to read. Making it solid would be much better imo.
9. In response to post #55578779. #55579529, #55591414 are all replies on the same post. You'll never ever get something for free. Its always: Wanna have something for free? Yes? Give us all you got and you get it for free.
10. This contrast from the menu is too much for my eyes to handle: https://imgur.com/a/tmrP5
11. Bilagos Fallout 4 tool helps a lot with tweaking. Water reflections can cause a big hit, sometimes. Ofc, only if there is water. Enabling all of your cores for Fallout 4, may also help. [General] bUseCombinedObjects=0 bPreCulledObjectsEnabled=0 Those two are probably the most crucial ones. There are many people that use those, because some mods suggest them, but it will murder your system. There can be also mods, that apply them with an external ini file. The FPS loss can reach from 0 to 40+ FPS. Never set it to 0 if you prefer FPS and a stable game. In addition to that, mods that modify world space can also cause huge FPS hits, when they break combined meshes. You'll see that, when you open an ESP with FO4Edit and open world cells. Everything has a [placed] tag is part of a precombined package. If this file is touched/moved, precombined meshes will be disabled for the whole cell. 12345 TreeBig [Placed] <- should be deleted as it may cause huge FPS issues. 54321 TreeBig <- is fine Grass 'can' also be very taxing. The mods RaiderOverhaul and Super Mutant Redux, can also cause huge stutters. Its a problem with the mod itself. At least for Raideroverhaul, ive created a patch, but it is tinkered to my BLD Mod.
12. In response to post #55274993. #55279503, #55279608, #55282488, #55284263, #55304058, #55305113 are all replies on the same post. True, 101% agree. I hate it, i really hate it, when everything is zoomed in. No offense, but it looks like someone doesn't know how to set up a clear website. When you have to scroll all the time and even zoom out, there is clearly something wrong with the design. The website looks ok with a 80% zoom but with 100%? I get claustrophobic. It looks "good" but this page is really exhausting to browse and read.
13. In response to post #55252433. #55252688 is also a reply to the same post. Which doesn't change the fact, the old website will soon be gone.
14. I'll miss the old website. Not because the new one is bad. Its like, saying good bye to an old friend.
15. In response to post #55213308. MO2 - Version 2.0.7 works quite well, except the crash when you move something from overwrite to a folder and launch the game after that. Sometimes MO2 will crash. But thats the only issue with this version
16. Was just a small hint. I've run into the issue and was wondering why the perk was not working. Its works well for things like a script -> if alias.hasperk(InstantDeathNoodles) ? alias.kill : Utility.Notification("Nope, not going to happen.")
17. You can add a perk with a script, but it wont work. This also goes for magic effects etc. The perk will appear, but it wont do anything. Only perks that are given within the NPC record will work.
18. Its an engine bug. When they get hit, they recalc their HP. There is nothing you can do to fix that.
19. Its probably also impossible to make a living as a mod developer. Its only good to get some money along with your job. You have a very very unsafe future with a job as a mod developer. There are probably already a lot of people who buy creation club items. Bethesda got their foot in the paid mods door and cash streams in. No matter how big the shitstorm is, its a shitstorm with a lot of money. Best example is EA. "Everyone" hates them but in the end, they will buy it. Activision.... Call of Duty Infinite Warfare... most hated, most sold in 2016. Best selling game of the year. In some years... not 2 or 5, lets say 10-20 years, the market will shift even more to paid content and then free content will be gone. Maybe Fallout 5 will already have lootboxes. You never know... Shadow of War's loot boxes were the biggest surprise to me. Never ever would have thought that this could happen. Really loved Shadow of Mordor and it was worth every €. But Shadow of War? Not even worth to pirate that s#*!. Its disgusting how greed is the big thing now. Its all about creating the game in a special way to make the most profit. If the creation club stays as it is now and free modding is still a thing and we dont get cut. (Free modders receive a limited version of the CK and premium modders get a full version) Also... something that people may forget. The script extender is the heart of free modding. Bethesda probably wont allow a mod to rely on it and are also not allowed to use it. Free modding will always be superior.
20. I'm using the latest MO Alphaversion from GitHub, which was from Tannin(For Fallout 4). Its works quite well and i have no issues, except that it sometimes crashes when you move files from the overwrite folder to an other folder. But thats totally ok. It will close and you simply restart it and its fine. I tried NMM(For Skyrim SE) but it gives me huge issues. NMM sometimes does not install mods correctly and often "forgets" to install files from the archive. My Skyrim SE is a mess thanks to NMM. While playing SSE i had to switch to desktop to reinstall specific mods by hand as NMM forgot files... Example is Hunterborn. NMM forgot to install the scripts. It was not working ingame and i was wondering why... well.. then i went to the Data folder and the files were missing. After that i figured out some more mods were not working correctly. Some hours later i reinstalled many mods by hand and i quit Skyrim SE as it was finally playable, as i was totally done with NMM. I'm glad that i didnt use NMM for Fallout 4.
21. There is nothing wrong about buying Fallout 4, specially when its on sale. Its wrong to buy Bethesdas cheap made and bugged mods from the creation club. (Which excludes the official DLCs) Before you buy a mod from the Creation Club, you should take that money and give it to the authors of the free mods you are using.
