  1. Ugh, LoL...inferior game! If anyone would like some DotA 2 invites I've got 8 going spare.

If I ever get time for gaming once again, I might have to take one of those Mr. Dark0ne. How is DotA2 going compared to LoL btw?

@hoof, the UI to me seems like its taking up too much screen space, or maybe its just me. I've only played once since the changes.

  2. Same for me.

Though, it's going to be awhile before I start back up again. I gotta get familar with the new item shop.

Wish they'd left the UI alone too.

I main Kha'Zix or Varus. Occasionally play Cho'Gath or Ezreal.

  3. What you can do is when the main screen comes back on from reporting the error, it should have that particular vertice selected for you. An easy fix is to then just move that to a certain amount on the X or Y axis and then weight paint it, then move it back to the same place. For example, I'll move the vertice to 5 on the X axis then once finished with the paint, move it to -5, which will then place the vertice back in the original spot. Then try to export. You may have to do that several times until all hidden vertices are finished.
  4. And I'm willing to bet in today's gaming market that such games will become even more rare because of those same costs. Long gone are the days when the almighty dollar wasn't the only driving force of game developement.

And on a side note, I'm a fan of the "classless system, make what you want" type of game.

  5. @pavy If you are referring to article at gamasutra? I find that piece "Brutal" but "Honest". I agree that F2P is atrocious and that the author of the article hit it on the nail. F2P is just a marketing tool to draw people into becoming a subscriber, which was what EA intended it to be.

It would be nice if EAware would actually listen to feed back like this. But, as we all know any press on SWTOR is good press on SWTOR if it gets people to take a look at the game. That article is spot on. Beside fixing bugs, if EAWare actually listens to the author and others that share this view, they could have a very succesful product. Right now they are skimming the edge of mediacrity at best.I was never really one to believe all the EA is evil stuff. But I do think it's obvious that EA was behind the rushed conversion to F2P in under a year. Usually takes large MMOs a good year or two before such a large scale change like this.

@Firemans Yes there is, 4 Quick Bars now instead of the previous two.(lol) And to top it off Swtor is celebrating it's first year anniversary by giving all players 25 pcs fireworks(lame)along with more additional bugs from update 1.6 and news of the upcoming makeb expansion.

    Yes it was on gamasutra.

Although i havent played the game myself, i been following it for almost a year...troll posts...critique posts....positive posts...i read it all.

I was interested, but the biggest thing that put me off was non-open world...i mean its star wars....i love to explore stuff, but after seeing the vids about the exhaustion zones....no matter how much people hate wow, the feeling of exploring is epic in that game and i was immagining something like that.

In my opinion the biggest mistake they did was to let bioware make an mmo, i mean these guys were good at doing signle player story-driven games not mmos and while the story must certainly be epic, it does shows that they kinda werent really planning in the long-term and the stories became a double-edged sword.

While they were epic, they sucked all of their resources and little was left for the game itself, wich for an mmo is kinda a killer i say.

They should have gone for balance, leave the stories voiced and everything else text....i just cant immagine how insane that must have been to voice everything.

After the last Aion update where they totaly killed rifting, i wanted to give it a try, but after seeing what they did with f2p, ill pass.

That's funny about not playing but following the articles about it. I do the same thing. However, that's because I came from SWG, which let's be honest, LA forced it down so that their failed new SW:TOR online game could take the subs. Anyways, did you play SWG pavy?

  6. wow no barb fans :(

having a barb with a couple of lightning sabre phase blades and using frenzy as a main attack and a whole bunch of other godly gear is Simpy insane, ma all time favourite set up :)

as for rune words I wouldn't say they are that important really, good golds will put you in better stead most of the time :P

also plugy lets you get ladder only runewords and equipment (even battlenet special events like uber diablo and the other event I can't remember) and by default the difficulty is higher, like your playing in a party of 4....or 8, I forget :)

    What's plugy?

    10. Monster Hunter Freedom Unite

I saw this and since you would prefer PC games, i can't help but recommend the new free to play MMO RaiderZ, it's essentially the Monster Hunter MMO that Capcom won't give anyone outside of Japan. Go on quests, kill monsters, use parts of their bodies to craft weapons/armor, even pick up fallen parts of some enemies and use them to kill said enemy. Not your traditional "auto-attack and spam your action bar" MMO either, every attack requires you to click. ...or press a button on your hotbar, so i guess it's kinda similar, but there's no auto-attack lol

I saw that game when it was in early beta stages. Looked pretty good.

  8. yea thats fine. honestly i wont have time till after next week. this week and next week are my last two weeks of school so im doing a bunch of hw and studying and whatnot. so yea. lmk when would work for you (you can just PM me) and we will work something out!

also, if it wasnt obvious, wed be starting new characters. so no rushing me through with your lvl 99 lol.

DOH!!! I wanted to show off my necro.

That's okay. I've got a paladin dueling build I've always wanted to try, so I can start fresh.

  9. If you are going to play online, play on ladder. Better runewords. I'd also suggest finding friends to play with and play in a password protected game. If it's not, you'll have bots that will fill up your game, spam the crap outa the chat, and leave. It was so bad last year, that I had to keep my finger on the N key (clear chat) at all times because of the amount of bots that would come into the game. Checked my characters a few weeks ago, made a quick game, and had 7 bots enter my game within seconds. :wallbash: So, that hasn't changed. You can put level restrictions, but enough of those d2items guys will make high level bots so they can still spam you.

i only plan on playing if i can get someone to play with. i get too bored by myself lol. hence only one completion of the game. and i really only wanna play with someone i know (and by know i mean someone i can get in contact with, meaning someone from here lol) so yea. it would be passworded and all that....

idk how much Runewords would come into play. idk if we would get that far/deep in to lol

I can play a few times with you hoof. I'll have to schedule it though because I've been very busy lately. I play on Non-ladder East though since all of my characters are there.

  10. That's your answer right there. Used to be a genius when it came to business. Now they're just morons and have been for several years. I only hope that Disney will do something good with the company now. At least they have some sense. Maybe they'll bring back SWG. :ohdear:

TOR is SWG. Don't count on it

TOR is no where near the 10 x better SWG. But yeah, I doubt we'll ever see that again. I wish SOE would have released the coding at the very least so that the emu's could have used it.

  12. Wow, thanks lonewolf_kai, it's the right one I was talking about. Thank you for helping me out, it's always appreciated

No problem my friend. I ought to thank you as well. I didn't know about that Yuravica monster mod either. I'm going to add those into my current monster list as well.

I saw some Oblivion screenshots recently that had some dragons in them. Not the dragon mount one though. Both were four legged. One was reddish-black, with horns on it's face and looked kind of blocky, the other was almost aquatic looking. Blue with frills on the head.

Could you find those pictures? Just based on the description and knowing past history with the four legged mods, I'd guess they were rips, but like I said, I'd need pictures to tell you for sure.

Here's a few. This one is actually a bunch of two legged dragons: My link

Here's the aquatic one: My link

And here's the other one: My link

The dragons in the first one are as follows: red one is called Nazagear, the skeletal ones are called Frostwurm (I think). The wolf is ripped content. You can find them individually as mods with Google since they are not listed here at the Nexus.

The second dragon picture I've never seen before and would definately be interested in where to find that one myself.

The third dragon picture is a private mod of Vikki's made by a modder called Ancient_Laws. She can't and won't share that one.

  13. lol yeah I had Hero Quest as well. Played it on a 16 colour 286 hahaha.. used to be a long loading time between each & every screen lol! Those were the days!

I thought it was a one off as I couldn't find a Hero Quest 2+ but then in the late 90s I found the QFG anthology and nearly dropped the box in shock when I realised that it was my old Hero Quest game renamed with new graphics and 4 sequels I never knew about! Then I had a go at QFG4 and had a new favourite in the series!!! If you haven't gone past QFG3 then you're missing out mate!

Yeah, I need to load it and a couple other games I have just sitting around sometime. I've just got to put down GW2 first!

  15. Hey everyone. I remember seing a couple of pictures ones for a mod, which featured huge, armored trolls and ogres. It looked really professional, and there seemed to be stronger, better equipped versions of each of them. Now, I've tried searching both the nexus and google, but couldn't find it anywhere. I don't know why I didn't download it when I had the chance, maybe because it required OBSE and I didn't know how it worked at that time? Any suggestions as to what mod it may be is very welcome.

P.S. It isn't Yuravica's monster mod, I've already checked that one.

    Thank you in advance ;)

  16. i loved and platinumed both Infamous 1 and 2.

Dragons Dogma was just meh to me. i got to like level 35 or something. idk how close to the end i was, probably not very close. too much running for me. on top of that, too much running the same exact path over and over. it got boring extremely fast to me. its been a while since ive played it now, but idr character interaction much. your pawns are boring as poo. and idr there being any other characters in the game besides vendors and the occasional quest giver, even the Arisen is forgettable. but that could just be me forgetting, or not getting to the point with memorable characters....i still have the game, because i think its worth going back to, but i wouldnt have bought it at $60 like i did. $40 max is what i consider this game at. a Great new IP for sure, but was a miss for me. again though, ill go back to it im sure.

I felt the same way about Witcher2. I just couldn't get into it.

I haven't gotten the Witcher 2 because I can't force myself to be interested in it. I've heard it's an amazing game. The graphics are great, the reviews are great, it's been on sale. Idk, I just can't get myself interested in it. There's nothing objectively wrong with the Youtube videos, but I'm just not into it for some reason.

I was actually just the opposite, I watched all that and thought this game is going to be great, and don't get me wrong, it's pretty cool. I actually did enjoy the game for a little bit, but some of the key mechanics of the game grate on my nerves. In particularly, the alchemy and potion prepping. I find the crafting of potions, mixing them together when you drink them, and getting drugged up before a battle, and using different oils for weapons really, rrrrreeeeallllyyyy annoying. The other thing that bothers me is that you do have to do a bit of grinding for some ingredients for certain items. And the repetition is yuk.

  18. Oh wow! I'm a QFG fan! I have the Anthology too, but only made it up to QFG3. My computer had crashed and lost all of my data at the time and I've never picked it back up since. A friend of mine had a copy of QFG1 before it was called Quest for Glory. It was called Hero Quest, but they had to change the name because of a board game that had the same name.

Man that brings back good time!
