  1. i still wanna try this game. havent gotten the chance, and i dont wanna buy it until i try it as ive never played anything like it before so idk what to expect, if ill like it or not.

I'm in the same boat as Hoof, I wont be beta-ing, but I think this game looks stellar.

Check out the videos of the beta gameplay. It looks pretty awesome. I plan on pre-ordering, just got to get a little money up.

Not sure about a guild yet, or even a server. I'm pretty picky when it comes to them.

  2. It would be great if pc could choose to use a shield or 2 weapons

There's several mods for that. The best ones I can think off the top of my head are Unnecessary Violence and Unnecessary Violence II.

  3. You could make a script that reduces your speed which would kick in when you entered water or began the swimming animation, thus slowing you down. Or simply make an amulet with a negative speed modifier and just wear it when you get in.
  4. im seeing that there are not much piracy votes up there!

And you guys might think that a copied dvd wont hurt any one but in here my whole country is pirating and though i hate it I HAVE TO buy games from here, i mean what other choices do i have? Come to america and buy games at the right price then come back? :verymad:

They have to control countries too.

For example the price of skyrim in america is about 50,60$ but you know how much i bought it? 2$ disgusting huh?!!

And after a time some bas***** will show up to buy pirated games from here and then sell them lower than the original price, higher than the pirated price, and you know the rest. Some how they double pirate the games and the gaming industries will be f***** up.

I guess after solving this problem you can fight about DRM!

Problem is that even with DRM a pirate WILL copy the game no matter what a company does to try and prevent it. In fact, it was reported that when DRM first came out, someone had already copied the game that it was supposed to protect!

  5. So its just a custom made map for Warcraft3? This DotA2 is an updated version then? I had always gotten the impression it was an actual separate game produced. That's intriguing.

Edit: Just looked it up. It sounds pretty cool. Do you keep ongoing stats for your hero or does it reset everytime you start a match?

  6. I remember a review for it said "It's not just a mod. It's the benchmark for TES V." In a lot of ways, Bethesda, a multi-million dollar company, was outclassed by an independant team of 4 dedicated German developers. Kind of sad in a way.

That is pretty bad, but I've heard similar things from many of the other players as well.

The one thing that prevented me from playing it was that the NPC spoken language is in German, and even though there were translated subtitles, I've never cared for media like that. I get distracted with trying to listen and read the subtitles at the same time. :ermm:

I bet you'd like Pre-Cu SWG it's not what current MMOs are like. Immensely complicated crafting system and every item breaks at a fairly quick pace. You also don't have to team up for everything like in current MMOs. Skill-based so everyones not a clone. My favorite all time games are Morrowind and Pre-Cu SWG

Oh really? I might have to check it out. I know SWG is offline, and I'm guessing it doesn't matter with the emulator. It doesn't matter, because the emulator provides its own server(s), am I correct?

The emulator has it's own servers, but it's not done yet. It is playable though, but they don't have all the professions like Droid Engineer, Bio-Engineer, Creature-Handler and some others implemented. They have a messing around server and a testing server. Also, they took Jedi back off I think when they upgraded their code or whatever they did recently, so if you're a glow stick swinger type you can't unlock that for a while.

If they ever get the game back up to it's original state it will do most of the things that MMO's don't do these days, mainly because when it was in that original state MMO's were still a new thing and they hadn't been honed down into a mind-numbing cash-collector for the greedy execs controlling the developing purse-strings.

Even in it's unfinished state, it's much better than the NGE garbage that SOE was running when they shut down.

Interestingly enough, the EMU approached SOE about reconstructing the code and received their blessing, I guess after the years of hatred the NGE caused amongst players they had to toss a bone out.

I hate to say this, but I actually liked SWG during its last years. I was a "neutral" jedi that had a nice spined rancor pet. That's what I miss the most.

  8. Blades

These blades look amazing, I've looked all over for them but I have no idea where the mod is distributed...

I am afraid that they may not be released publicly...but maybe someone found something I hadn't

Those are a private edit of Nico's Scimitars. As far as I know, the photo uploader has stated they did not want to release those to public and avoid contacting them regarding it.

Does anyone here know where I can find the mod that adds the swords in this picture?

    Swords

They look pretty cool. But I haven't found them yet.

Incidently, Nicoroshi also created those originally: Nico's Gift.

  9. Oh, I actually have a question myself. Anyone know of any alternate "sneaking" animations? Maybe something vaguely cat-like?

Did you ever find any other animations to sneaking other than the one I posted?

Nope, and I knew about that one already.

Oh that's too bad. Let me know if you ever find another one please.

  10. Remove the mod. In Oblivion, the audio files are stored in the BSA files which are not modified by mods. The new data just overwrites each time the game is started. Removing the mod allows the original audio back.

OR, if you know how, go into the sound files and find the exact files that the mod put in, and remove them - but be sure to make a backup before attempting to make this kind of change.

Note that this works for Oblivion, FO3 & FONV. But NOT Skyrim - it handles voice files differently.

Still good info none the less.
