XDeathShotX
These mod authors seem to tell you which files need to be downloaded to make their file work. SO how is the free version of collections any different? And mod conflicts are listed in Vortex. "The project our team is working on has the goal of making modding easier so the average user can spend less time worrying about mod conflicts, and more time playing a modded game." Seems like you only want to do this for paying customers. "To back this up with a concrete example from testing: using our collections system, just the other day I downloaded and installed an entire collection for Valheim consisting of 50 mods in just under 11 minutes when testing as a free user; as a Premium user the same collection took me 3 minutes to set up." The only convenience is right here and you made it a premium feature to nickle and dime users and bank off of modders. The 3min download thing should be a free feature for all and the modders who are opted into this feature(or whos mods are in collections) should get a piece of the premium money to compensate. Seems like a great feature that should be for all. You make it sound like it should be all on this page https://www.nexusmods.com/news/14538 , but only make it for paying customers and raised the monthly and annual fee(by a whopper of an amount). Should not keep this feature only for paying customers(I mean the queue feature). Not doing so would make it seem you only did this to line your own pockets and screw modders out of money. So it would be a good idea to make it free. Think of the free users for once and the optics surrounding all this. frontaldnd
You have no clue how powerful collections are going to be. You have no idea how versioning works and which files get automated and replaced, you simply have no clue.Nor do I. If all vortex does with collections is download a list of mods, then it's not really that impressive.

So it would be a good idea to make it free. Think of the free users for once and the optics surrounding all this. It took 11 minutes, because free users have a download speed cap of 2/mbs and if they use an ad blocker it's 1/mbsSo it took the free user longer to download the files, plus they had to click on the "I agree" screen on every page (Unless "Collections" bypass that) Also, There is no "Opting In" for mod users, and there's no "Opting out" either. The only way to "Opt out" is to remove all your mods from the website, and that deadline has come and gone. You're using the site for free, so, free users are going to be slightly inconvenienced for that. The deadline for Lifetime Membership expired on August 3rd, you should've got it while it was still available. showler
Free users need to view each mod page because free users pay by being served advertisements. That's how free users help pay the bills. Premium users have paid to NOT see advertisements, so there is no need for them to view each page. That's what makes the speed difference (plus download speed limits that exist all the time anyway). The queue feature exists for free users as well, and you will be taken to the specific file you need to download in each case, but you'll need to push the "download" button when you are using the free version (which means you have to be looking at the page where the ad is located.) It's not so much that Premium users get extra benefits in the Collections system as it is the benefits they already get work particularly well with the Collections system. Pickysaurus
I'm just going to close this. The entire premise is speculative. We will be giving more details about the system once we are ready.
