Goredoth
Hmm, I kind of consider what I do cheating but I justify it in my head. I will speed level skills like Enchanting & Smithing and by speed level I mean after making as much gold as I can buy all the iron/leather strips I can from a vendor repeatedly and make iron daggers ect.. But I justify this because I find these levels boring so otherwise just wouldn't do them, I couldn't imagine actually mining huge amounts of ore for instance. But I don't want to miss out on the potential bonuses so I just do it quickly to get it out of the way. Another thing I do is I will spawn in health and stamina potions BUT I don't consider this cheating because of the system I use, I will only spawn in potions suitable to my level and I always pick up and hunt for ingredients and level my Alchemy skill the only reason I spawn in the potions is because I don't like having a bunch of different potions that do the same thing but heal different amounts so you end up with heaps of them in you inventory to scroll through. Rather I just spawn in the common potions you can find in the stores appropriate to my level. That is about all the cheating I otherwise play a pretty legit game.. Master difficulty, SkyRE, No Quick Travel, Realism mods ect.. So I don't know about your adjusted Weight and speed levelling, how do you justify it? Maybe it's not that bad. But I suppose if we're all honest with ourselves the answer is Yes we are all cheating when we do things like this haha, I think some are just worse than others. Halendia
When i was playing Oblivion on the 360, i propped up my controller so that the analog stick was always up, then sneaked against a wall for like an hour in till my sneak skill reached 100. You made me think of it, but I actually made this AMAZING contraption once, where I took the motor and plastic blades of an ice cream machine and taped it up so it'd stand. Then I bound my spellcasting key to SPACE and placed the ice cream motor so that it'd spin around and hit the space key every ~2-3 seconds. This is how I leveled Illusion, Mysticism, Conjuration and Alteration in Oblivion. GET ON MY LEVEL! Edited September 9, 2013 by Halendia
baltasaronmeth
I think it's not considered cheating in a singleplayer game, if it takes more effort than the actual leveling :-D
Hyacathusarullistad
I use the console to correct some of the game engine's "flaws". For example, when I'm battling an Elder Dragon, attempt to use Become Ethereal, and it mis-fires and I'm stuck unable to shout but still wholly un-ethereal? I pull up the console and go into god mode for a brief time. But I'll turn god mode off again before attacking or using potions and such. I'll also toggle collision on the rare times I get stuck in a rock crevice while exploring, or disable a dead dragon when it keeps dropping to the ground in front of me every time I pass through a load screen, that sort of thing. My friend, however, who just got the game for PC specifically for modding, uses the Uncapper config file to give himself 100 health/stamina/magicka, 50 carry weight regardless of which one he picks, and five perk points each and every time he levels up. I personally consider that cheating. But my wife, who also plays on X-Box, feels that some of the most basic mods I use - Acquisitive Soul Gems, Quality World Map, or any multiple followers mod - are cheats. In the end, there's no real single definition of cheating in gaming, especially with moddable PC games. You bought the game (or at least, are the one playing it). It's your enjoyment that matters, not that of anyone who might be watching. Edited September 9, 2013 by Hyacathusarullistad

starlitegirl
The thing is that there are a variety of players and among them are those that like it to be more casual. I never played games when I was young. I was busy with work, school, and many other things. Games were last on my list. Last year I got sick and needed something to take my mind off it while housebound. My illness slowed my reflex time and it wasn't going to be as good as most gamers who have been playing for years. I was new. I found novice challenging. I got better, but don't want to stress over a game. So I use cheats. That is how I play. It is a fun distraction from an illness. I don't need or want stress or frustration from a game. I want to amuse myself without that. So you bet I cheat. I played it without cheats for a while then moved to PC and modded. Now, I have lots of fun and even started making my own mods to suit whatever I wanted in that game. It's the players own business. Your play style is determined by many, many things. I've noticed that some people who have been gaming for a while want harder games and find cheating to be horrible. But they developed gaming skills like any other skill is developed. I never developed that skill because I busy with work, exercising, going to college, doing internships, etc. My down time was a TV show before sleep after a long day of many things. I never had game consoles when I was a kid. I read a lot and got involved in some sports and other things. So it depends on your life too. Play how you want. It is your own business. As long as you enjoy it, that is ALL that matters.

raatorotta
I cheat every time. It's singleplayer after all. Much funnier than loading save after dying all the time. So i support cheating in single player. Playing is for the fun anyway and not to be taken too serious. ZombieJesuz
I don't see the need for insane carry weight. You must be those type who loot everything on sight which is unnecessary since you can really earn money quickly in this game even without selling items and there's really not much things worth to buy since you can find those things all over the place. Only carry things you actually need. I really go against cheating since the game is well mediocre when it comes to difficulty. This is also why I don't upgrade armor/weapons much to give a sense of challenge and fear of death instead of a predictable stand and win gameplay. The perks are also OP if you know how to build and this is why I refuse to max things out. Knowing your limits you can balance the game without needing any difficulty enhancement mods.Cheating personally bothers me since my cousins do it allot and it feels like they're playing some kind of typing game instead. It also bothers me that they rush everything and think Skyrim is hard even when they only play on adept.. Console commands to break the game = :down:Console commands to fix bugs and make screenshots=
