Can't get rid of mod in plugins

Why is there no way to uninstall a plugin? I manually deleted everything, reinstalled vortex. Still there. And don't tell me to hit the purge thing. That doesn't even do anything to the mods I do have installed and want to keep. I went over a few of the others who posted questions and now lost the links. I wish I saved them. I did everything suggested there. A little old. I even found a file that listed every mod i had installed and uninstalled and deleted it there.

Why can I not change which execute I want to start the game with like I could on older versions?

I really do not like this new setup without my game on the dashboard. I tried reinstalling an older version, it didn't like that and would not let me. I might have to go back to mmo2.

In the plugins tab, reveal the "Mod" column to see which mod provides it. In this case it sounds like this isn't a plugin installed by Vortex so it's up to you to open the Data folder (Mods toolbar -> Open -> Open Game Mods Folder) and delete the file if you no longer wish to see it.

If you bundle multiple complaints into the same topic - you are likely to have some ignored.

To set what executes when you click the game, choose the one you want in the Dashboard Tools section, for example SKSE 64.

Click the three dots and select Make Primary. Done.

If your executable choice is not there, click Add Tool and the bottom of that window.

If it's a circumstance where a mod has multiple plugins and you don't want all of them installed, you can right-click the mod in the mods tab and select the "open in file manager" option, then delete the plugin(s) you don't use and then deploy your mods again and it will be removed.

Posting twice was not an accident. This site did not acknowledge my first 4 times I tried to post it. So I guess an extra one got by those clicks. It also would not go to this post in the email sent with response. And it took me a while just to find the post here.

Anyways... To answer your questions

What mod are you claiming you can't uninstall?

Settlement Management Software

Was it installed with Vortex?

Yes. Only way I've been installing them.

In this case it sounds like this isn't a plugin installed by Vortex so it's up to you to open the Data folder (Mods toolbar -> Open -> Open Game Mods Folder) and delete the file if you no longer wish to see it.

Don't mean to sound rude, but I wouldn't be asking for help about a vortex problem in a vortex forum if I had installed it manually. And to answer you on the second one. Did that. Did that in vortex mods folder also. Even took it off a few .ini files also.

Uh.. what? there is no such thing...status, name, flags, load order, mod index, group, dependencies, actions, settings cog. Up top buttons. Autosort enabled, sort now, manage rules, manage groups, history, and tutorials.

It's been on skse 64 for a few years now. That one is not in there. I have f4se, fo4edit, wrye bash, and bodyslide.

On the plugins page, go to Settings and toggle "Mod." That column will then appear next to "Name."
