In response to post #10282114.

I have the similar problem here. I tried to reply as polite as possible, but I learned it never works out in the end. It's been like that since late 2010.

I come to nexus almost everyday to read what people have written on the comment thread. Most of times, people seek technical assistance which I can help easily. I tend not to. The reason is, if I start replying back on the comment section, all sorts of trolls appear and write potential baits. It keeps things nice when I stay in the shade and not say anything back. Being able to block a specific 'I am one of the entitled' or constantly abusive comment maker may help bring back some Mod Makers who fell by the wayside due to being unable to handle the unwarranted level of verbal abuse as witnessed after the release of Skyrim when the newer breed of 'We are the entitled' appeared.

+1 Kudos from me. You articulated pretty much everything about this in a much better way than I could.

+1

well put

because what you stated is simply the reality of it.
Especially the bit about the "ppl with 200+ mods who feel entitled..."

I only have one mod.
I did work very hard on it, however.
I think I deserve as much control over it as I can possibly get.
So, I am happy with all of the changes.

It kinda seems like from reading a page and a bit of comments mod authors like the new features but mod users who don't mod themselves are strongly against authors being able to block a user from there mods. Personally I think the new features are great, giving mod authors more control over who downloads things that they have made is always a good thing as long as mod authors don't abuse it.

Hopefully this new system will stop people just trolling mod authors, not leaving them alone by messaging them and demanding things from them so there mod suits them more as they have an endorsement to give them in return which is something that has been my main annoyance with the nexus community.

Thanks for the update Dark0ne!

I totally agree with your statement. The "vocal minority" that speaks against this new tool set simply underestimates the educational effect of the presence it can have. There are enough places out in the net where nobody must fear consequences. But it's a simple rule of interaction: action -> reaction.

Until now the testphase is too short and nobody can say anything about on how this will work out. Only time will tell.
