Worst website hosting I've ever seen.

I'm gonna be honest and straight out to the point. There are a LOT of good mods out there, and I really like them, and appreciate that they're on nexus, but honestly this hosting business is so bad.

I've had no problems loading any other site, other than this almost instantaneously. This site keeps logging me out whenever I try downloading a mod, doesn't download, servers keep going down, site keeps going down for maintenance, NMM almost rarely logs me in (or I get fed up and use it in offline mode), NMM isn't able to download anything, and I have to manually add .rar files to NMM for installation, and so many more issues that I'm sick and tired of it. Please fix this. I wont say I'm leaving this site because the host is bad, because I love the mods and most Skyrim mods are in here, but please for the love of god fix this broken site. I'm disgusted every day by this site to see "Error 502, timed out" or "Site down for maintenance, please wait a couple minutes". There's literally no point in waiting since it's going to go down again anyway.

It's frustrating to see this site not able to load anything when I have good results on the speedtest.

I'm not hating on the modders, I love mods, and continue to get/use them.

I hate this site for being so damn broken.

You have to admit that the OP has some good points. The site is constantly having trouble, slow loading, maintenance, server unavailable, etc. It's a big turn off for anyone considering premium.

It's exactly why I have never purchased premium. Back in late spring I was going to and then the hosting relocation happened. It took quite a while for the sites to pick up speed but all through out the summer there seemed to be random problems. I have been close so many times and just as I'm about to something major happens and I don't go through with it.

I read the news today oh, boy

About a lucky man who clicked the link

and though the news was pretty good

Well, I just had to laugh

I saw the avatar

He blew his mind out in a forum

He didn't notice that the news had been posted....

...yeah um... well... I did what I set out to do.. even if it was awkward and weird, so I stand by my lyrics switcheroo :|

I don't see why you guys deem it necessary to bash the OP and tell him to leave or laugh at him, especially Dark0ne, who is supposed to be the good example and courteous towards hes user base.

I completely agree with the OP as I'm also having issues with this site since like...for ever (actually 7 months now).

Seriously though, would it be that hard to be nicer to people...

Bringing in a third party to look things over and see what is wrong or could be improved would definitely not hurt things. I've been wandering back and forth to this site and lurking around a while before I got Skyrim, and it's never been stable or worked well. Edit: and that was before I had an account, I had to practically fight the site to get this one up.

Criticizing a major, recurring flaw is not "being special." OP is just someone who got fed up with problem after problem accessing the site. What the OP is saying is not exactly a secret, anyone who uses this site is familiar with the hosting issues. It's not news if it's the same scenario as it has been in the past several months. We love this site, we love the mods, but there is a problem. One suggestion I've heard that had some merit (along with being really amusing) was to ask someone who does tech for video sites (cough) to take a look at it because those have constant, massive amounts of traffic to deal with.

Again, criticism is not a bad thing nor is it a personal attack on anyone running or managing the site. Having a groupthink mentality and bashing anyone who comments otherwise will not help our situation.

It's not new to anyone. Even me. I've written over 10,000 words on the topic this year alone. If you want to know what's happening, why it's happening, and what's being done all you need to do is go through the news archive, or keep up to date with the site news. That's why this is tiresome to me and others. Going over the same topic again and again when it's already been covered, again and again. For example, bringing in a third party is exactly what we did (and I covered in the news) a few months back.

It is very, very, very clear that we've been working on this all year just from reading the news. You don't need to ask us to fix it, or tell us it's shite, we know it's shite, and we have been working to fix it.
