You mis-read that. Those idiots tried to claim it was 800,000 years old.

I think we can safely ignore them.

I caught that when I viewed the page.

I agree!

The measures from condensation from natural cold desert nights thawing little amounts of water would have taken a lot longer to cause erosion like the Sphinx has, then rainfall does. If were results from desert condensation it could have been made out to be more than 10,000 years. I only suppose the geologists study of it was a guess that would be closer to the results he stated.

LOL jimboUK, sure, now apply that to an 80 ton block of granite

This has descended into pure foolishness now, I will end my participation with you don't know, I don't know, nobody knows, far to much inconclusive evidence and no use in discussing it any further, it's a waste of time, however, feel free to continue the discussion amongst yourselves.

Of course it could be done if you had enough people and that statue in the painting wouldn't have been light either, the stones at Stonehenge weigh 25 to 30 tons and they were moved 150 miles from Wales, a part of the country that is far from flat, it is possible to move massive weights by putting something under them and dragging them, all you need to do is get rid of the friction and in that painting you can see a guy pouring a liquid in front of the sled, a proven method for reducing friction on sand.
