jaydawg55
As I understand the error message, some action was taken that stopped Vortex from removing the mods in the Collection you no longer wanted. "Undeploy" means to remove mod files from one of Vortex's folders. "Deploy" means to copy mod files to a Vortex folder. I don't know for certain why this would happen. But I am guessing it could be because (1) you are using Beta or outdated version of Vortex, or (2) you made an entry error of some kind because you are new to using Vortex. If neither of these are true, (3) then some kind of bug occurred. 1. What version of Vortex do you have installed? The version of Vortex I am using right now is 1.7.8 Stable. It is the latest stable version available. Beta versions of Vortex are used for testing. Stable versions are intended for regular gameplay because they are more reliable. 2. Review the Vortex Knowledgebase for all topics related to using 'Collections.' Once you have done that and better understand adding or removing Collections, try removing that unwanted Collection again. Some tasks in Vortex take a lot of time to complete -- especially if there are several mods to install or remove. That is what Deploy/Undeploy means. 3. If the error occurs again, it could be due to a Vortex bug or a problem with the Collection itself. What are the names of the Collections you installed and which of them did you want to remove? Are you using Skyrim SE or Anniversary Edition? Not every Collection works well for everyone. Some may not work with SE or Anniversary Edition. If it is a Vortex bug, there is a place within Vortex where you can report it. Until this problem is resolved, you can prevent unwanted mods from a Collection from appearing in your game by individually disabling them. showler
The "no deployment method active" bit makes me think you should go into your settings and ensure that you have a valid deployment method in place. Can you deploy or purge any mods that aren't part of the Collection?
Pickysaurus
Vortex can't remove a collection properly unless you have set it up to deploy/purge mods correctly. Check under Settings -> Mods -> Mod Staging Folder and Settings -> Mods -> Deployment Method.
