Vainlash
It's funny because I've been playing a while now, and only ever gotten as far as meeting the greybeards which is like what, 2-3 hours game time lol. Mainly because my old computer was giving me issues, getting CTD's probably because it couldn't handle stuff, etc. But now, with my new computer, I have started playing again. This is my first playthrough ever. So tell me guys, what are your must have mods that make the game so much better? Here is what I currently have. [Main]Skyrim Legendary Edition.+ Unofficial Patches. Im really liking how things are playing out right now, just got out of Bleak Falls, and I've already died a number of times until I adapt to this Locational Damage mod, and others. You have to really think now, makes you feel a little scared to and that ASIS makes things unpredictable and more intense. Seriously I'm so happy lol. chanchan05
Honesly? I'd not recommend any game changing mods in the onset until you saw which parts of the game you didn't like. SkyRe for example, is a complete overhaul of the perks. The trees SkyRe has don't exist in the vanilla game. But since you already started, try the Categorized Favorites Menu + Oni Patch. IMO Enhanced Lights and FX has better lighting than RLO but is more resource heavy. A Matter of Time is convenient. Subliminal Traps + Killing Traps Acquisitve Soul Gems Better Dialogue and Better Message Controls Face Masks of Skyrim with identity conceal patch Harvest Overhaul Hotkeys Plus Plus Lock Overhaul Moonlight Tales + Werewolf Mastery Perseid's Inns and Taverns Run For Your Lives When Vampires Attack SkyTEST The Choice is Yours Trade and Barter
Rennn
I recommend no mods until you put at least 50-100 hours into the game. By then you'll know what you want changed and improved. To answer the question:-Killing Traps-Unofficial Skyrim Patch-Detailed Terrain and Tree LoD And I know it's not a mod, but I wouldn't play without the Official HD DLC. Unlike texture packs on the Nexus, it also fixes characters faces, clothing, and a lot of little things that packs like Serious HD or HD 2K miss. blacktarprophecy
Unofficial patches and SkyUI. Everything else beyond that is subjective.
Trassel
SkyUI, Frostfall, Winter Is Coming and/or Cloaks of Skyrim, Wet And Cold are my own must-haves in that they just makes the game a lot nicer (especially Frostfall, loving it!). Wearable Lanterns and guard lanterns are nice as well, as well as the Reflection mod that adds little messages as you level up (very charming, gives it a nice feeling). Terra Nova
Deadly Dragons. Vanilla dragons are boring after awhile. D.D. will change that in a large way.
