duhoverdrive
I just bought premium and the speeds are complete garbage. Speed tests and traceroute show no issues on my end and no ping spikes during the route. Pickysaurus
Your speeds look fine from the tests. I believe Comcast is one of the ISPs that likely to throttle/shape your traffic so that's probably the issue. If you're using Vortex, try increasing the download threads in the settings and see if that helps.
Dark0ne
Comcast definitely packet shapes traffic. Try using a VPN to prevent the shaping or use a download manager that allows you to download with multiple threads as this will bypass the throttling. Vortex has settings to do this if you use Vortex.
duhoverdrive
I already logged out and back in, and I also cleared my cache and cookies. I am not in an area with Comcast throttled data caps.
Pickysaurus
Based on your tests, we're definitely not limiting your speed from our side. So this only leaves an ISP issue or simply some kind of connection quirk. Most of the files Premium users download come from the Premium CDN, which is showing 40MB/s for you. We also do not cap at 2.5MB/s - our limits are either 1.5MB/s (free user with adblock) or 3MB/s (free user or supporter). Unfortunately the most likely cause here is ISP throttling/packet shaping. Did you try increasing the download threads in Vortex or using a download manager that supports this? Alternatively, have you tried using a VPN? duhoverdrive
I can't use Vortex as Final Fantasy XIV is not supported. I have no issues with any other sites apart from Nexus Mods. There are hundreds of similar posts in the last few months.
showler
edit: redacting myself. I'm not involved in this.
duhoverdrive
Jokes on you. I just tested with Cyberghost and there was no change in speeds. The Nexus downloads are being capped. I work in IT. This is a clear issue on Nexus' end.
