LadyFrey Posted August 12, 2023 Share Posted August 12, 2023 Hey everyone, I'm having an issue that started after the most recent update to the vortex client. Whenever I open Vortex I'm logged out. I have to log in every time I open the program. In the past I only had to log in once, and then I would be logged in every time I opened the program again. jaydawg55 Posted August 13, 2023 Share Posted August 13, 2023 I had to do that as well and it seems to have something to do with the update to a new version. Not having that problem today. I am logged into Nexus Mods (which I do first) and Vortex. Been that way all afternoon and into the evening. Do you have 2 factor identification set up for Nexus Mods? It enables you to authenticate for 30 days at a time and not have to log in as every time you launch Nexus Mods and Vortex. You need an app for your cell phone to generate an authentication number to enter into Nexus Mods. Then you are good to go for 30 days before you have to log in again. If all goes to plan, this should become the new stable version by Monday. Until then, apologies for the annoyance, it shouldn't be much longer! LadyScintillian Posted October 27, 2023 Share Posted October 27, 2023 I'm also having the issue of getting logged out every time I open the mod manager. There are also times when it says I'm logged in so I go to download something, it will log me out and give me an error. Earlier today I didn't even fully close the application and played something for a while, went back to the manager and it logged me out. I figure I should address the topic again since this has been going on roughly since August possibly earlier. Or maybe there is a fix I'm missing. Pickysaurus Posted November 1, 2023 Share Posted November 1, 2023 If you're still getting signed out (especially when opening the app) - something on your PC is likely interfering with Vortex's ability to talk to our web servers.
