Xenobuzz
Hey all, Given the awesome complexity of this game, I've spend LOTS of time at the Wiki researching how best to approach those quests that have multiple outcomes. However, I can't alt+tab out of the game, so I have to save & quit, look up the info and then restart. Not a big hassle, but it would be nice to have something on paper that I could refer to when I need it. The main info I'm interested in is quest descriptions & permutations, items for workbench weapons and more detailed explanations of character skills, perks and stuff. Is the Prima guide worthwhile? If not, I'd be interested in any links you might recommend for very detailed information on building a character who will sneak, snipe, hack and be one silver-tongued devil! Dave S. Dhegonus
you could always just print off the relevant information you need..
xaechireon
The wiki's pretty in-depth for me. Anything I want to remember I write down on a piece of paper (Which is usually the Base ID for an NPC or item)
Callighan
There's the option of playing the game in windowed mode. I know I love my games that way. Loading screen? No problem! Let's take a look at youtube while it's loading, shall we? :D

gsmanners
Prima guides tend to be a bit off sometimes, so it might be best to just go by wiki: http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3_quests <-- Questshttp://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Custom-built_weapon_components <-- Workbench weapons' itemshttp://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3_skills <-- Skillshttp://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3_perks <-- Perkshttp://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout_3_general_tips#Combat <-- Stuff
Dtnoip28
I have it, and it's pretty good since it has detailed maps with all the locations and stuff. However, I don't think it's worth it if you've already cleared the game. I'm the kind of person that needs to know and experience every single aspect of the game, and hit myself if I miss anything of importance. So, if you're already far into the game, just printing out the wiki articles would probably be the best approach.
Monolithic0117
The Collector's Edition Prima Guide is quite useful. I just store it by my side whenever I play, and the DLC Prima Guide as well. No need to A-TAB anymore.
evilneko
I just have my laptop next to me for wiki (among other things) while playing. ;)But, I can also alt-tab, perhaps because the latest patch I have is 1.1, and I use UFO3P+Fakepatch. What patch are you running?
Skree000
im a fanatic about RL l00t. If theres a guide, book, action figure or poster remotely related to my favorite game(s) ill buy it. also, having a book in your hands is REALLY nice compared to a computer screen. Yes the wiki is vastly more expansive, but you cant exactly sit up in bed with a laptop in your lap nearly as well as you can with a book. Sometimes id much rather have a book than a screen... but thats probably because im staring at a screen 95% of the time when im not sleeping, showering, walking to and from work... =/ lol
