N7R
I'm having some trouble following this thread... I don't use ENBs or ENBoost but I'd like to try this Allocation Memory Patch out. Where can I find it?Well, there was a version of it you could download from a certain ENB, but they took it down for legal reasons. At the moment, as far as I know you have to compile it yourself. ^_^ I hope SKSE makes it official due to the fact this memory patch is extremely helpful. If anything it makes my Skyrim playable with a ton of mods for the first time ever. I'm not much of a coder and like many I don't have a copy of visual studio just lying around. Guess I got lucky to grab the compiled files while they were up a few days ago. However in the meantime ... It sounds like SKSE might have very soon an official version: http://forums.bethsoft.com/topic/1485263-shesons-memory-fix-ctdils-thread-2/page-2#entry23286497 Also they stated they didn't want the files removed for legal reason but to avoid confusion of different files floating around since this causes more problems when trying to decipher issues in the game and they'd rather have just one set standard. I'm sure good things will come from it once SKSE team investigates and sees what the memory patch is really doing. If not we have this for now which is the same thing but does not effect SKSE files at all: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50305/?tab=4&&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D50305%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D1352936&pUp=
SkyrimeisterSam
So I've added all my 2k textures back in, increased shadow resolution to 4k AND put ugrids up to 9, the game is stable as a rock :-) This combined with Safety Load, ENBoost and Stable Ugrids should be enough to stabilise ANYONE's game. Edit: just fought a massive 20 vs 20 battle in the middle of a snowstorm as a werewolf, stable as a rock, this has completely blown me away, guy deserves a knighthood. SkyrimeisterSam
I know but right now I don't want to do anything to potentially break Skyrim so I'm going to leave it in, it's doing no harm. Edit: Finally managed to make the game crash, after installing Inconsequential NPCS / Interesting NPCs and changing the maximum spawned characters in a cell to 80 via Wyre Bash, I had a CTD upon approaching Dead Man's respite, scaled uGrids back to 7, downloaded a higher memory compiler .dll and dropped number of spawned NPCs to 30, back to being stable again, spawned 100 bandits in the middle of Solitude and put God mode on and spammed them all to death using Fire Breath. Sebiale
Does this not work if I start the game with SKSE via Mod Organizer?
PubliusNV
Does this not work if I start the game with SKSE via Mod Organizer? It's working for me with MO starting SKSE (but not using ENBoost). Check your My Documents\My Games\Skyrim\SKSE\skse_steam_loader.log file. If you see this line in it, then it's installed and working: Sheson took your first born in exchange for more memory
AirtightSpring3
I was wondering, how do I check to see if this is working. I downloaded the Phinix ENB version when it was still up (it is now down apparently due to legal issues). I thought it was working but then when I took Safety load out I kept getting infinite loading screens and I still freeze/ctd at certain times like whenever I get near the Solitude Gate. Also is there any way to tell what I would need to do to get it working?
