Zorkaz
Yesterday I had 11 notifications. Now it's 80! The notification system includes myself (Zorkaz), so whenever I do stuff I get a new notification.
aurreth
Same issue, 73 for me.
mkh97
Happened to me too. I had 42 notifications, also about myself uploading a file. Was worried for a moment that someone had spammed all my mod comments with nonsense. Was relived to find out that this wasn't the case.
Kregano
Had this happen to me a few hours ago, had like 20 notifications.
Happybara
Unfortunately, we couldn't move over the "Read" state of notifications when the system went live so we decided to leave them all in a read state. This was communicated in the news article. We appreciate that this would result in a massive bundle of notifications for many of our users but its easily solved with "Mark as Read" or "Delete". More improvements incoming.
mkh97
Thanks, Happybara. I deleted all the notifications and haven't had any other problems so far. I don't track any mods or authors, so I don't really get that many notifications. Most of the notifications I got was about people commenting on my mods or replying to my comments. LenaWolfBravil
My only gripe with it is that it gives a notification every time you change your own mod. This comes from the new Collaborations section which is a great idea in itself! It just needs a check to see whether the person who made the change is the original author or not. Because otherwise it's weird to see that that someone with the same user name as me went and modified my mod... oh wait... but it was I myself who did it! And of course it floods the notifications. Can you screenshot an example of a message you've received about editing your content? That definitely shouldn't be happening. You might see it in some of the older notifications as that was a bug in the system a few weeks before release (we had to keep it running for around 90 days to back-fill notifications). Those are old notifications, indeed! So this is actually already fixed. I can confirm that I updated one of my mods yesterday and there were no notifications about me doing it similar to the ones in the screenshot. Pickysaurus
Thanks for clarifying, yeah these are from a bug fixed during testing.
